All of the villains have twisted faces, meaning there is a feature or features that are enlarged, minimized, or messed with in some way that when you first see them you know whether they are a good guy or not. It's the same for the heroes and heroines, if you notice they all look similar too. :)

well, they're 3 sisters who are in possession of the Black Cauldron, and the heroes want to get it and "destroy" it. The main witch (the middle one) says she'll trade it for the boys Magic Sword, and she's planning to cheat him, because there is absolutely no way to destroy the cauldron, and he won't be able to do anything with it, so she'll take it and gain a magic sword in the process ; )
