  • Ohh my God :) Enjoy Kim Hyun Joong :) ;)

  • Thanks for the upload!

Please give us the title of the album!!

  • @atokombeled The name of Album is "Ultramania" ;)

  • @Yoouussef

    Thanks man! :)

  • @atokombeled You're welcome! ;)

  • muy bueno

  • amazing intro. <3333333

  • He back tracked his songs u idiots b4 listening how bout u know something about him...

  • I love both but Seo didnt do any nu-metal work until 1998 on his first solo album which came out 4 years AFTER Korn debuted and blew up.

  • @MeanT241985 actually, Seo did metal work since he started music business in late 80s, not officially. he played bass guitar that day, and soon made his Taiji-boys song since 1992. so thats why 2012 is his 20 year anniversary. hope this helped. :)

  • @csmtotoro He did metal work, but not the "nu metal" sound that Korn is well known for. I think he adapted that particular nu-metal sound later on during his self-titled album days. Either way, they're both awesome!

  • kORn listed Seo Taiji as part of there inspiration as a band... Seo Taijii was the first band of any repute to put out this style of music. Korn took that style of music, put brilliant lyrics behind it and gave it popularity in the U.S. Both bands fucking rule, that's what i'm getting at.

  • this is the best than korn...i dont think korn is the best fuckingshit.sorry mr.davis your xerox copy than my idol seo taiji band this is the korean metal fucks'

  • What the song talk about!? Is about Ultraman or something else!?

  • @rarton The song talks about how the society wants young people to be like this or that blah blah to be successful, but it is asking you to just be yourself.

  • Solo quería su Ultraman!! :(

  • but korn is shit everyone knows that :)

  • @Chefurrules Cmon you don't have to be like that.If you don't like them don't insult.I don't like many bands, but i give them respect for what they make.

  • I want those pants. anyone know where I find some?

  • @XoVeritasAequitasoX exactly those no.but you can search for "tripp pants" on google and find some pants like these =D

  • I hear a lot of people saying copycats. Fuck you all there are many styles that sound the same that doesn't mean they copy. Idiots.

  • That is ALL Korn, right there!

  • @GadSammit Ok, so they may sound a bit like Korn, but I think they sound more like 311, especially when it comes to Seo Taiji's lead vocalist. His voice sounds more like Nick Hexum (lead vocalist from 311.) Just check out 311's songs "Down" & "Beautiful Disaster." BTW Seo Taiji is no copycat.

  • Juice! Juice! Juice!

  • nothin' are better than korn cos' korn started this all shit

    i like da band

but korn is da king ok cya

great band, got a nu fan now

  • @italo1844 ok so for all u fuckin retards who think seo taiji "sounds" like korn...... seo taiji debuted in 1992 and korn 1993-94. know ur facts

  • those are some pants.

  • ultraman is the best!

  • @rubyhaleybenjamin Totally fitting description

  • Great!!!

  • love his hair it looks like twizzlers

  • howly crap, why didn't I know this band earlier?

  • seriously I think tvxq 's rasing sun and super junior 's don't don't are dance version of seotaiji

  • At 3:38 it sounds like he' saying "Juice Juice Juice"

    Though I am American sooooo....

  • even though he did start out pop and way more mellow, and then did this doesn't make him fake lol it's called experimentation.. change... ya know.

  • damn, this is such an old vid. xDD still love this band

  • great video / jebać niemców

  • 最近K-POPブームだけど、やっぱソテジがブームの火付け役だな~。

    かっこよすぎ

  • Who gives a FUCK if Korn or these guys came first???? Either way neither one of them was known enough for the other to fuckin' copy their style. Just shut the fuck up and listen to the damn music people.

  • @ShellShock794

    PREACH.

  • @ShellShock794 Thank you!!

  • as it turns out they came out before korn. and, yes. Better

  • @kevinEDR Yes Seo Taiji was before Korn, but this style wasnt. He was a KPop artist, this is from i think 1996,but Korn is from 1994.

  • @MikyWrita Before that he was involved with amateur rock acts such as "Sinawe." So his influence of rock is not necessarily from Korn. Eitherway, I doubt back then they both knew each other to 'copy'. We live in a big world, just like there are doppelgangers, sometimes bands and their music are unknowingly similar.

  • @MikyWrita

no he was a guitarist in heavy metal band before he formed a pop group

  • @NewWorldOrder2050 Ok i didnt know that, cause when i enter Seo Taiji on youtube it just show some pop songs and a few of these nu metal like songs.

  • @MikyWrita

yeah it was in the 80s and i think early 90s so you wont find much info on him when he was with the group...the group name is Sinawe btw

  • @NewWorldOrder2050 Other way round, pop singer then a fake metal player. Real Korean metal is Crash, not this poser.

  • @kimchicrazy

lol oh god...whats the other way around? oh wasnt the bassist for Shinawe? i like crash also but i dont know if i want to compare them to a musical genius like Seo Taiji

  • LAL copycats! i hear korn, limp bizkit, machine head, linkin park (lol) and others i cant think of right now. nothing much special anyway. nice song...cute...but dont say its better than korn u ignorant fools ;p

many bands needs to start on something, many times copy styles, but they always have their own "something" that makes u recognise them. in this case, japanese pank sucky voice for me;d quite fun.

but dont say its better than korn, it doenst even have anything to do with korns music...

  • @kosoto6 Well, regardless of who their sound comes from, its someones opinion if they think this song is better than Korn lol. I mean, I'm sure there is someone who does Seo Taiji better than Seo Taiji out there somewhere haha but who cares right? Music is meant to be enjoyed not pissed on. :D

  • @kosoto6 They're KOREAN not Japanese. Pretty big difference. I don't want to get into this whole argument, but while Seo Taiji started out as Seo Taiji and Boys in '92 (releasing the first hip-hop single in Korea) their style changes with every album; every band is inspired by someone, and many of the groups you named hardly created their own style, they're more known for popularizing a style that was present in independent music before them.

  • LAL copycats! i hear korn, limp bizkit, machine head and others i cant think of right now. nothing much special anyway. nice song...cute...but dont say its better than korn u ignorant fools ;p

  • Does this band have any albums?

  • @DramCommentorPivot A LOT!

  • seo taiji is legend of korean music history

  • I like it. :)

  • Muy buena banda ;)

  • instruments remind me of Korn, vocals remind me of Limp Bizkit

  • I want an ultraman figure now! (product placement works! :D)

  • my Favorite Ultraman was Tiga!

  • One of the best intros ever

  • una copia barata de Korn y de limp Biskit

  • @SERIALASESINO limp biZkit

  • Cool but too bad it's so similar to Korn, don't know who was first..

  • @onerom666111666 Seo Taiji's big break was in 1992. But their style then was more dance/hip hop. They later progressed into a more 'metal sound' in 1993. Korn's big break was 1994. So, I guess Seo beat them by a year.

  • @annabellemee I guess the whole thing is, Korn had been more popular than Seo Taiji..... And since Seo Taiji wasn't even mentioned in the US until about four years after they came out, well... *shrugs*

  • Comment removed

  • @TheKuranma Why would they mention anyone from korea or another foreign country in the u.s. in the 90' even if they were a good band??? its not seo taiji's fault that he wasnt mentioned till four years later......plus, i bet its pretty hard to get hands on his music when it first came out unless u traveled to korea and got it. and if u were talking about the time he was in the us (though idk why u would..) he wasnt even doing anything or singing in the us so of course he wouldnt be mentioned

  • Exclusive!

Seotaiji & Game - Put U On The Game / 필승 mix 2011

    youtube..com/watch?v=2EAayctzZP4

  • seo taiji = korean music legend king~

  • KOREAN METAL FTWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW LMAO

  • wow !!!!!!!

  • wow

  • I came expecting "the father of kpop" to be... well... kpop. I didn't know his children had gone so far off track...

  • @saewhaa his earlier hip hop stuff spawned the boy bands you see today. /watch?v=QXX_y-ZP-G4 i love all his stuff though - he has a crazy range in terms of genre.

  • @saewhaa another example of k-pop influence: /watch?v=6TwN4jcJyEM

  • buenas canciones pero estudio coreano pero me falta para enteder lo que cantan

  • Seo Taiji came before Korn & Systerm of a down but we know that the world is Unfair

  • woah ahah sounds like system of a down in the beginning ahah

  • Not what I thought it would be....zillion times better !!!As a starter, which album should I pick for tryout?

  • legend.

  • Taiji and Nell are freaking awesome.

  • I don't care who they sound like or not sound like, regardless they have their own style and they play badass music, even if you sound like someone else, YOU need to play the music and YOU need to come up with the arrangements etc... so they deserve all the credit they get and then some... cool pants ... lol..

  • What kills me is that people suddenly are trying to give this guy credit for KoRns sound, YES he came out two years prior to KoRn...But didnt sound ANYTHING like Korn then. I know people love giving asian bands credit for music, especially since most are youtube fans, But, He did NOT give KoRn their style, AT ALL, Korn is Korn. And they sound more like Sugar ray anyway

  • Korean nu metal? The fuck....Not bad..Too bad I can't understand what he's sayin

  • @twiztidlestat He's an amazing lyricist. The media used to call him a prophet to the youth. He was considered something of a Pied Piper of the disenchanted Korean youth of the 80s/90s.

  • @twiztidlestat Here's a translation (with some interpretation, mind you):

    Ultramania

We are the youth (youth youth)

Always delinquent but I have truth (truth truth)

Everyone tells me, all of them tell me, they all tell me I'm crazy.

That's right and I want to go even more insane.

Ultraman, the one in my childhood dreams

(Ultraman) what kind of nation do we have here?

(Ultraman) from now on I will truly be --

    (Ultraman) the real Ultraman.

  • @twiztidlestat

Get a grip on the honest answer:

heroes are extinct and have long been dead.

    The hero standing underneath that sun today is no other;

    it's you.

I was hollow but now I have something like Ultra's Punch

I was wasting away but now I have something like Ultra's Punch

  • @twiztidlestat

For someone caged inside a generation of vengeance like you [read: the establishment] even an uncertain beam of new light is frightening.

    But I revel in it.

I wait in anticipation for when you provoke me.

I will not overlook the offense.

You will be judged in the name of Ultra.

If you try to convict us again under your own made up rules then very soon you'll be-- [Taiji wrath - 2:38]

  • @twiztidlestat

We are the youth (youth youth)

You always hand me Juice (Juice Juice)

Everyone tells me, all of them tell me, they all tell me I'm crazy.

That's right, the world of insane maniacs is a crazed world full of light.

Ultraman, the one in my childhood dreams

(Ultraman) is the answer key to revolution

(Ultraman) from now on I will truly be --

    (Ultraman) the real Ultraman.

  • Ahhhh back when MBC was more than willing to air this kind of music in broadcast. now its become a censoring bitch

  • buenos tiempos lo nuevo me que hicieron me da asco:

un buen clasico y si mucho mejor que limp bizquit

  • @otsegoable hahaha lol

  • 33 people are not Ultramanias

  • Awesome intro breakdown

  • Se nota mucho la incluencia de korn ;) hablo, por como era korn del 93 al 98.

  • reminds me of korn.

  • @3664242 He's a big Korn fan

  • @3664242 he toured with korn.

  • @pu186 I was admiring how he even (visually) sings similar to Jon Davis

  • What the awesome effin music!!! I was thinking it will be something totally different!!! OMG

  • great song, poor video..

  • Comment removed

  • .............such a epic walk...............8-)

  • damn this is awesome. Korean needs more variations, not only hip-gyrating male dancers. I like some but it feels too much. I hope there's another seo taiji.. or at least, more bands come out major.

  • @msblackpapillon there are quite a bit of Krock bands. you just haven't found them yet. The thing is, Seotaiji isn't exactly mainstream either. He was majorly hurt during his years in the idol industry, which he actually started and was thus named as the "culture president" or "founder of kpop." the government likes using idol groups "pop" groups for their political purposes in Korea. that's why most of the rock bands are not mainstream because they talk about the society and the gov't

  • wtfawesome?

  • WOW Fantastic!

  • i like the song...i just have no idea what they're saying and i can't find a translation anywhere...can somebody help? lol

  • yea~~

  • better than korn also.

  • Ok Seo Tai-ji was the bass player for sinawe in 1989 they broke up in 1991. In 1992 Seo Tai-ji & Boys came out and they were a Korean pop band, the band then switched it up and started making metal/rock driven music. Seo Tai-ji & Boys then retired in 1996....Seo Tai-ji went solo and in 2000 had the nu metal and punk rock sound, His solo act had an effect on many South Korean boy bands such as H.O.T. I just had to write this cause ppl think Seo Tai-ji always sounded like this.

  • @ChIpZ582 Why is even worth to mention the f@ggy wannabes boyband?

  • better than all the KPop stuff going around these days.

  • I just shit my pants.

  • Seo Taiji - 1989 = GOD OF NU METAL

    KoRn - 1994 = HEAVY GROOVE SICNESS

  • seotaiji sinawe base debut 1990 main stream debut 1992

    helmet debut 1991

    korn debut 1994

    limp bizkit debut 1997

    linkin park debut 2000

    and sorry i can't english..

  • he's 1990 year debut sinawe band base and 1992 year make pop.. search youtube 난 알아요 nan arayo, 하여가 hayoega, 필승 pil seung.. all song is have guitar riff + rap +djing + emo he's have experimental mind.. but me too 2000 year album remind korn but.. have seotaiji style..i think 2000 year album is korn style + seotaiji style..but 1998 year album is true originality and unique album my favorite album... that's great album search take one, take two...and linkin park is 1992~1996 seotaiji pop style

  • he's 1992 make pop music but no mediocrity that's cross over genre guitar riff + djing + rap + korea Traditional Music + heavy metal of 1993 year... search youtube hayoega and this song is same... guitar riff + djing+ rap+ heavy metal sound and + scream..he's make style 1992 year... but too many people say remind korn ,limp bizkit, linkin park..

  • When did this song come out?

  • DAMN!!!!!these dudes know how to headbang!haha=P

  • Ohhh they're like LP

  • now this is what im talking about! :D awesome!

  • maybe rock is not my thing anymore, dammmmmm its heavy music

  • 29 people got hit by 울트라맨 펀치!

  • korean metal xDDD

  • esta buenisimo el grupo

  • I love this song!!<333

    ULTRAMANIAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!

  • haha this band rocks!

  • any more hard rock korean bands out there?

  • @xshadowsxheartx no brain :P

  • Njuew Metal \m/

  • WAAAAAAAAAH! This is awesome! Mad!!! Ah I got into Korean music late so I missed out on guys like Seo Taiji. Man there should be more hard rock bands in Korea. Or if there are some already out to those who know of any, share the info!

  • wow

  • woah this if fucking awesome!

  • SEO TAIJI and BOYS is made BY YG.. MAkers OF BEST KPOP.. NOWADAYS SEO TAIJI and BOYS are "like" BIGBANG and YMGA.. TRY THEM ^^

  • @marcaronx49z

    Actually Yang Hyun-seok from Seo Taiji & Boys made YG ^_^;

  • nnnnice.....

  • IMO, I thought it sounded a lot like Korn and 311. To me, when he sings in this song (except for the chorus) he sounds a lot like hide from X-Japan during hide's solo career.

Very enjoyable song, I still love it after all these years.

  • @HotaruMimiuchi you know seotaiji received Hide's guitar??? it's on youtube you know. they were pretty close

  • @tokee1234567 Yes I do know that. It is pretty awesome.

  • beginning sounded like x japan...

Didn't know Korean rock music was so strong!

  • asian korn

  • @soyplaya A-Kon? :)

  • wow totally reminds me of Linkin Park & Rage Against The Machine..but in korean...cool

  • wow.. this is just... WOW!!

  • Comment removed

  • Seotaiji's music Feel the Soul or Internet War in the same album with this are also coool! And he released another albums of quite different style but still amazing. I'd like you to listen to his recent song 'Moai'

  • 4:00 - 4:42 sounds like a batman tim burton´s

  • @reideunmundoperdido you're right man it does. Maybe Batman himself began scrathing the decks, with his spikey gloves, whilst Alfred licked some riffs.

  • .................The fuck?

Don't get me wrong, this is totally awesome.... just not what I was expecting to find. I have been searching for weeks to find Korean music to help me with my Korean Language Training.... and this has been here the entire time.

I knew Korea was too damn militaristic to have nothing but a bunch or KPop bands. Happy I stumbled across this.

  • @AaronJEstes militaristic atmosphere doesn't really harm regular life actually in South Korea. It's just because commercialistic music companies that monopolize the major music market Korea. They mass-produce boys or girls kp bands.. But there is ausome sing a song writers like Seo Taiji! And I thik Taiji is the greatest of all.

  • @AaronJEstes LOOL broo... you serious? man.. the Kpop scene is actually like 1/6th of the entire music industry there. The reason why the world thinks thats all we have is because thats literally ALL the media covers day in, day out. If you want to learn more about Korean language, you gotta check out Korea's Hip Hop scene - particularly underground... although semi-mainstream artists like DD and Epik High are fucking great. The language they use in that isnt rude or anything.. just sublime.

  • @chris2I40 can you send me some names ? im looking for other stuff besides kpop i can find that stuff on my own plz and thnx man

  • @AaronJEstes

Yah, man. Seo Tae ji was awesome. Find the BLUE album. This is off the red album. It is one of a choice few albums that I can say that every song is good. Think about it...maybe Ziggy Stardust and NIN have albums where all the songs are great, but it is rare. Send me a message if you want her on Korea.

  • @AaronJEstes man i have been searching fot that group from 10 years :) you are luck to find them so quick

  • Imma big SLIPKNOT Fan, yes im a MAGGOT, and i fuckin love listenin to KORN but seo taiji takes it to another level

    I like his energy

    SPAZZIN OUT!

  • korean korn

  • some subs would be great

  • Is that Ki Kaida?? :D

  • speaking of Korn, I once downloaded this song as Korn - Ultramania (UNTOUCHABLES) yep back in the day when Untouchables was being leaked, people renamed Seo Taiji tracks as Korn tracks and that's how I know of him

  • respects

  • imitration of the KORN!!!But i like!!!!!!!

  • @hahshahshahshahs What does imitration mean? Why would put KoRn? KoRn didn't start Nu-Metal music, bands like Hamlet did. Hamlet has been around since 1987.

  • korn
