@jensen893 Stefan killed Andy, as a warning for Damon to stop following him. He did that because Klaus said that he was going to 'take care' of Damon because he was getting too close. So, Stefan took drastic actions to stop it.

Stefan called Elena at the end, because ultimately, his actions are still driven out of love, love for Elena and Damon. :)
