  • Um...fuck ya! Great track.

  • I used minor E pentatonic and it fitted perfectly

  • awesome!!

  • yes this is E major, but nonetheless I had good fun using the E major pentatonic scale. Thanks for the upload!

  • just broke my high e

  • This is from Guitar Center's King of the Blues backing tracks.

  • Its E which means your A harp, thats all you have to know XD

  • E,G,A,BFlat,B,D, = Root, Flat3rd, 4th, Flat5th, 5th, Flat7th = 'E' Blues scale - Work's well over E, A, and B7th, also Em, Am, and Bm7th, or B7th. Try it over this backing track, which by the way sound's like it's in 'E MAJOR' and NOT 'E MINOR'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - USE OVER ALL THREE CHORD'S - BUT DON'T FORGET TO TARGET YOUR NOTE'S FOR BEST RESULT'S - GOOD LUCK TO ALL BLUE'S LOVER'S!!!!!!!!

  • cool, thanks-- had a lot of fun jamming to this while the wife was out and the baby was sleeping!

  • The comping is E major, but you can impro in E minor or major, any time, any hour...it will make your impro very rich and bright !

  • pic of a les paul......... a dot or a strat would have been beter!!!

  • its blues! minor or major who the fuck cares????

  • Sorry guys, E major for sure - there's no debating that. Enjoyed playing on it for sure. Great track!

  • this is awesome, might as well use it for my next gutiar vid :)

  • i love this track, i cant get enough of it.

  • Very good. This backing track can be a good horse if the guitarist is a good rider.

I'm now working on a blues for that.I hope I could be a good rider.(When I ride my horses I've the same feelings in my fingers, arms, body and legs when I play the guitar)

See you soon. Jean Paul from France.

  • @spagbog1q2w I think you have your theory confused. E major and E minor are TOTALLY different, what you're talking about is the difference/similarities between E major, and C#minor. The notes played in the song determine it's keys, and the fact that the lead line is using a G instead of a G# followed by an E note means the key is E minor for that section. The song also moves into a Major feel as well when it uses a B dominant 7th chord. It is both.

  • Well, it's a song in E major, but minor pentatonic scale fits perfectly into major blues.

  • Technically it's a mix of E minor and E major. But both scales fit for sure.

  • @RockerforChrist1027 its not e minor man, one of the box shapes for the minor pentatonic scale fits into e major - because the minor and major scales are exactly the same but the root notes start on a different note in the scale.

  • This is one of my favorites!!

  • i know nothing about theory. i can hear.

  • Thanks! great track for all levels to play around with

  • WOW, I've never been so impressed with myself xD

  • its fun but my pick keeps flying out my hand. some good blues here!

  • God I hate people that go on backing tracks and spout their theory bull, just play the fucking blues

  • can you make it mp3 ? we want 2 downlaod it :X

  • @sburleakk if you have firefox you can get an add-on to download youtube videos as mp3's

  • this is what i might play for The King of the Blues at guitar center

  • SO COOL THANKS

  • Okay, kids!

The scale to be used is not the Minor one, but the Blues Pentatonic Scale! It very similar to Minor Pentatonic, but it shows some "blue notes" that I won´t tell you because I want everybody find them out. No pain, no gain. Any questions contact me. Hugz!

  • Olá, dudes!

This backing track is really in E Major!!!

  • not D , H xD

  • Comment removed

  • Totally not in a minor key....

  • the guy isnt playing Eminor he is playing a blues on Eminor SCALE and not only the chord.

Of course th are some major notes like G,C&D

There are the minor like A,B&E

    And the Diminute like F#

But the author of the song can make changes but i dont fink that that hapend cause in a backingtrack u chould only use the chords IN the scale so i think every thing is in EmBlues

Every one make mistakes sorry for mi grammar ones (i'm from Brasilia,Brasil).i apologise yours(LOL)

  • Eminor blues idiots

    just sayin lol

  • this isn't E minor this is E major...-.-

  • @loly220 yea most of these are more major blues progrssions than minor, even though a lot of minor notes work on these changes.

  • @loly220 oh just shut up and jam the blues, you over-technical whiner. its the sould that counts, not the technicalities.

  • @hurricaneofrock technicalities are what make the sound

  • @TheJacquesHappy what you feel makes the blues.

  • @loly220 still seems to sound good with minor though.

  • @loly220 E minor pentatonic fits well. ;)

  • @loly220 you're supposed to improvise in the minor pentatonic

  • @loly220 haha no.. its dorian

  • @iPR0SH0T there both the same

  • @spagbog1q2w dorian and major are not the same? dorian and minor are not the same either, i'm not sure what you were referring too

  • @loly220 who the fuck cares? Still playable

  • @loly220 nope, its still pretty much e minor

  • @loly220 it's really e minor... learn some music

  • @loly220 This isn't E Minor or Major. This is a twelve-bar in E. If you're referring to what solo "scales" to use, major and minor E pentatonic scales work here as well as countless other scales and modes.

  • @loly220 I guess you'll be asking for your money back....oh wait...

  • @loly220 it just depend on your hands . IF u feel like doing Major , do it. Otherwise minor will fit cool too!

  • @Marius1988Roma Eminor penatonic scale FTW!

  • @loly220 u deaf?

  • @Nickdiaublow I'm pretty sure this is E major, but the E minor pentatonic scale works too...

  • @loly220 no it's not..

  • @loly220 no em pentatonic works fine

  • @loly220 this is both you can decide how to do it it depends on the way you play

  • @loly220

    its E blues

  • sounds alot like pete anderson type stuff. cool

  • it is. from kotb

  • great to use, but not all minor. kinda dumb

  • I think the "E" is monor or major :)

  • The E is MAJOR here but uses E minor pentatonic scale.

  • the rythm is so pride and joy! i like it!

  • This is in E.

  • i love jamming to this track! when i get my webcam working again im gonna use this one for a vid. thanks for the great jamtracks!
