Republicans have mastered the art of spending without raising taxes by continuously taking money from the Treasury, as if they were given a blank check... at the end of their terms, we call that - DEFICIT !!!
oh for christ sake there all the same these people none of them are wrong there all right, they all have the right ideas. At the end of the day however, i truly believe Obama is the beacon of hope here, i think. He has a different sent to him, his different to other politicians, believe me. he will do amazing as president.
WOW hmmm I wonder where you're from prime22 the deep south? McCain's not a bad guy but his ties with Bush and the failing policies of the Republican party are digging his grave. Obama is the fresh guy this country needs.
Okay, I'm ready to fucking loose it. I swear, if one more person mentions that Obama's black, that McCain's old, that Palin's a woman, I'm going to spam so many bad things, you'll all die...I'll personally find all of you who say this kind of shit and pop one up your ass. GOT IT? I AM SICK OF IT! Why don't you fucking ignorant liberals and conservative imbisiles learn how to debate the political issues properly before trying to make a reasonable and agreeable statement?
so ur gonna say how people need to learn how to debate when you're sitting here ranting on cussing and threatening people. ur right, they need to learn how to debate and communicate just like you. that would be great
Well that was more of a righteouss (I know I spelt that wrong) anger type of thing, since it fills me with rage to see people stab at Obama for being black or McCain for being old.
But if you want me to be literate and debateable about it:
Barack Obama's race has nothing to do with his campaign. It neither strengthens nor weakens his ablilities or rights to lead this country and John McCain's old age does not mean he will die in office, cannot preform tasks, etc..short sweet an to the point
I guess you are saying that you would rather have an inexperience guy as our leader? Someone who has NO knowledge of our Financial or Foreign issues? Hmmm. Your choice. I fear you will be embarrassed by your choice if obama should win. Especially when he destroys our country.
if anything that should say a lot about the canidates. Now don't get me wrong, I'm an independent in this situation and I'm still deciding on who I should vote for, but in all seriousness Obama's plan doesn't include wasteful spending, these plans are there to help the American people. So that when we retire we can still have our social security.
Obama is logical. Whoever says we can't afford Obama... think again. Think about how much MONEY our government would get if we taxed the billion dollar companies APPROPRIATELY.
And think about how much those companies would raise their prices on the goods and services they provide if they were taxed as much as Obama wants to tax them...
you can't really tell anything about the audience reaction thing because the Dems go up when Obama speaks and the Rep goes up as McCain speaks... Go McCain!!!!! Palin kicks ass!!!!!
I'm following the independent line actually, and if you want reaction, that's probably the line to follow, and it's the most interesting. I mean Reps like Reps...Dems like Dems...Independents...now that's where the party is xD (pun intended..get it? party..political party..ah it made me laugh and that's what matters :D).
I am so over people talking about Obama saying "John is right"- if you would listen to what he is saying, he is agreeing with the fundamental issue, then he says where they differ ie " John is right..here is the problem", it really makes me sad how naive the American people can be, you can just listen to commercials and taglines and think that you know something about that candidate- I think Obama is showing that he is willing to listen to opposing views if it will be better 4 us, McCain won't!
And I'm so over people calling McCain old. So he's 72, so what? Ron Paul's a year OLDER than McCain, nobody ever insulted him for his age. Plus look at his mom...she's over 90 years old. He's been touring the country, he has good genes..I know people younger than him in worse shape...
People saying McCain isn't fit for the job because he's old is more naive than what you think is naive thetarobyn. And there's flaws in Obama saying "John is right-" as well as people saying McCain is old.
:D Finally someone who isn't so hard on McCain just because like 99% of the Youtube community is liberal. It's true, he knows his facts, being old doesn't have any effect on it, and I'm glad to see you show your proud support for him, having a solid opinion...good for you man :D
Hooray! This is America!!! The place where people get punished for being prosperous!! No one thinks about how many hours these company's CEO's work by being on the job. Spending money to move America in the right direction. Lets just give people who go to work and don't put in nearly as many hours in the benefit too. Someone has to lose!!! As long as I aspire to make less than $250,000 a year I'm doing good.. I got to re-evaluate my standards.
So you're saying that everyone has to lose, but you'd rather it be the working class of the United States that of which upon the very foundation of the country is based upon than the Corporate business leaders of America who make up 1% of the population and make more money than the combined total of 95% of the entire country? Makes no sense to me. The income inequality has widened drastically under the Bush administration and quite frankly the American people are just sick of it. We need Change.
final: There are many factors to consider before stating that 95% of the population is not making money. I'm sure the fact that the welfare people (that could be working, if they truly wanted a job) makes up a considerable amount of that 95%. What is the definition of poverty these days? Anyone making under usd40,000 plus a year? I do not know.
If you're talking about the world in general, I think I recall it being less than...$11-20,000 dollars. For the U.S. you're probably right, it's probably around $30-40,000.
And I really don't know Obama's definition of rich either. But as far as I know, democrats consider middle class people rich, and we're not...that's why we're middle class, not upper class.
That's my point. I do not make a salary including my husbands anywhere near usd250,000/yr. But under obama my taxes will increase by over 3%. Why would I vote for that?
yeah, those poor fortune 500 ceo's, I hear because of the financial meltdown some of them are having to reduce their pensions from 13 million and 40 million down to a respective 5 million and 15 million.
Casc: No, we do not. The U.S. goes throught a recession approximately every 2 or 3 years. These companies should not be bailed out. And some of their employees should be sentenced to time in jail and have to repay the monies they have received.
Yeah...intellectual, talented people, who have the potential to make way over $250,000 a year are going to quit jobs and make like $50,000 a year or less to get out of a few tax increases...you're so good at math aren't you WeArePennState2011?
kevenem: I like Ron Paul. But a vote for him would be a vote for obama. That's just s aimple fact. Anyone who votes for an independent at this time, vote will go to help the party the person is currently in.
Close the f-ing corporated loopholes, then maybe you can lower their rate. Ireland is at 11% for corporations, yet they announced a recession this week anyway. So it did not matter that they had lower tax rates. I for one am tired of this corpocracy! The middle class is the backbone of this country, and is being destroyed by the catering to welfare for both corporations and people who work the system.
yap the problem is the concentration of corporation. Less company, bigger and more powerful. Less competition..... not a free trade market anymore. Sounds silly but it should be possible to put a cap on their size, and it must be done worldwide not only US
wow you think hillary would do any better you think this country is in trouble now just think how bad the country would be if her and her sick husband got back into office this country would be worse off the iraq
Well, we will be getting the first african american black president November 4, 2008. How can this thoughtful, and intelligent man loose to this out of touch old timer! And Sarah Palin is a mental case.
LOL. Sorry, I actually laughed out loud at your comment. The race is close. I would bet a year's salary that McCain will win this election. obama is not to be trusted. he continues to flip flop depending on the audience he is speaking to.
The "flip flop" you speak of is Obama listening to the opinions of the people. Every candidate comes into this race with their ideas. However, there are flaws and anomalies to every idea and candidates need to look at some of the problems regarding their ideas. Now, by changing his opinion and "flip [floppping]" on issues, Obama is listening, interpreting, and analyzing the different ideas and forming a master plan which inevitably will be the best idea necessary for the survival of our country.
You make a valid statement. All politicians do this. Therefore, I will agree with you on this point. I will not vote for obama due to his lack of experience and his views. I agree with some but agree with more of the Republicans views. Not all but most. I hope you respect my opinion. As I have respected yours.
exactly, IE Gun owners, obama is funny because he says he supports the 2nd amendment and gun owners, yet supports the all out ban of guns, including semi autos, and handguns...yes i may not need an ak-47 but dammit i still want to be able to own one. No one can deny that obama is a liar when it comes to gun owners, he says he supports them but his voting record shows otherwise, MCCAIN/PALIN 08!
McCain voted for the patriot act renewal, too...only eight Senators voted against it, all of which were Democrats. Biden's connections with Jack Valenti and the RIAA are interesting if anyone cares.
Of course, most of Congress and neither of the presidential candidates really seem to be in politics for we, the people. They'll extend our copyrights, reduce our rights, put more of our taxes in to global military presence and less in to educating our children, give 700 billion dollars to corporations who are in a financial mess because of wasteful practices, the terrible practices just go on and on. The only hope I can see is for people to vote third party. Jeffersonian revolution all the way.
McCain is a COWARD, the weakling couldn't even look Obama in the face....sad. And again; where the HELL was Palin?? Shouldn't she have been there to support, and comment on McCain much like Biden did........oh wait, thats right, she has a hard time speaking live.
I believe you can call McCain any name but a coward. He most certainly is NOT a coward. I would doubt anyone in this room. Democratic or Republican would call this Man a coward after spending 5 1/2 years as a POW. That is just a terrible thing for you to say.
Well, keep laughing and stop talking that POW nonsense, because that was over 30 years ago. He was a coward, in not taking a stance on why we should not have been involved in Vietnam. And being a POW doesn't qualify a person to be a president. So keep laughing and get ready for a black president.
No. It does not. But it shows that he cares about his country. That was my point. obama does not care. he has taken much money from major corporatons.....they will expect and receive those paybacks. The US should consider not allowing donations, etc. Then the person receiving them would not have re-pay his/her debt. obama (if elected) has a huge debt to pay off. And we, the public, will receive nothing. Why did he refuse to stop taking donations? McCain did. My vote is for McCain.
I'd like to see you be tortured as a prisoner in a foreign country for 5 1/2 fucking years...but I doubt you love this country enough to have been a prisoner for 5 1/2 seconds...
Nonsense? You douche..he spent 5 1/2 years being tortured and being kept in solitary confinement for this country. Sure might not be the best presidential candidate, but he risked his life for you and me, for this country. He served this country greatly and was willing to die for it, I don't care if you support Obama. If you're a real man you'll respect McCain for his service, that doesnt mean you have to like him as a candidate..he's not a coward, he's a hero..
YES he IS a Coward....at least he was that night, he couldn't even FACE his oponent like a human being. THAT is a coward. Instead of being civil and at least LOOKING at Obama, he played nasty and looked away.
'It's not like you wanna close the [corporate tax] loopholes, you just wanna add more tax cuts on top of the loopholes. That's a problem.'
lol O got him there. 2/3rds of american companies pay no taxes, lol. They employ Harry Potter accountants who are well-paid to find every possible way to get around paying taxes and McCain knows it.. To say that US companies are suffering b/c they pay TOO MUCH TAXES is hilarity of the highest order..
Don't know...but she and Biden are going head to head next week...that'll be interesting...10 bucks says Palin screws up big time on the live debate >:) nah...I shouldn't give the McCain/Palin supporters such a hard time...or should I :P
:D It sure as hell will be entertaining: one doesn't know what she's talking about (as far as I've seen), the other just doesn't know how to debate...this Vice Presidential Debate is going to be more interesting than the actual Presidential debate.
P.S. No hard feelings to Obama/Biden or McCain/Palin supporters, I love yah all equally...if that matters to anyone :P
It will be entertaining. I hope Palin has been researching. I fear that they may be harder on her due to her inexperience. Dems want change. Well they got it. obama has zero experience just like Palin. Looking forward to watching.
air: you apparently do not any respect for a decent conversation. We are debating here. just giving our opinions. We respect yours, pls do not disrespect ours.
Ok so what I dont understand is why do Hillary supporters decide to vote for a Republican just because Hillary did not make the democratic ticket? Are you really that superficial that you would not vote for the democratic party just merely in spite? Were you democratic supporters to begin or were you just superficial people wanting a female president? Is it Palin being a woman that made you decide to vote Republican? Does that really have an impact on your decision that much
I agree with you that people should not change their party just because their choice did not get picked. However, at the same time, perhaps some of these people just did not believe in the views obama has. Some people vote for the candidate not for what party they represent. Just my thoughts..........
boycott all international corporations. take your money out of the bank and the stock markets, put it into gold, silver and peer to peer lending. write to your leaders demanding monsanto be shut down and seeds be freed from patenting, let them know they will be fired if they do nothing. let the elite families like the rothschilds, rockefellers, bushes, blairs and especially the queen of england that you know what they are doing. grow a garden. never give up your guns. love your fellow man.

McCain is a COWARD, the weakling couldn't even look Obama in the face....sad. And again; where the HELL was Palin?? Shouldn't she have been there to support, and comment on McCain much like Biden did........oh wait, thats right, she has a hard time speaking live.
EmpressMahalia 3 years ago
I believe you can call McCain any name but a coward. He most certainly is NOT a coward. I would doubt anyone in this room. Democratic or Republican would call this Man a coward after spending 5 1/2 years as a POW. That is just a terrible thing for you to say.
gsummerford 3 years ago
Well, keep laughing and stop talking that POW nonsense, because that was over 30 years ago. He was a coward, in not taking a stance on why we should not have been involved in Vietnam. And being a POW doesn't qualify a person to be a president. So keep laughing and get ready for a black president.

Just shows he is not a coward. does obama's experience as a "community organizer" qualify him? LOL. No.
gsummerford 3 years ago
no, he does not apply OODA loop like mccain. No more taxes
nalcow 3 years ago
McCain did. My vote is for McCain.
gsummerford 3 years ago
For the 3 people that still think McCain is a coward. I will pray for you. You are obviously evil people.

McCain is a coward

I'd like to see you be tortured as a prisoner in a foreign country for 5 1/2 fucking years...but I doubt you love this country enough to have been a prisoner for 5 1/2 seconds...
Carnage546 3 years ago 3
the thing is liberty. its on our money u don't have to be locked up to take care and love ur country
buttonsputon 3 years ago
You are a sick person, mentally. If you have this much hate in your life, perhaps you should seek medical attention.
gsummerford 3 years ago
Carnage546 3 years ago 4
YES he IS a Coward....at least he was that night, he couldn't even FACE his oponent like a human being. THAT is a coward. Instead of being civil and at least LOOKING at Obama, he played nasty and looked away.

loopholes should be covered!

Hmm, Where the hell was Palin, wasn't she there to support McCain????
EmpressMahalia 3 years ago
Don't know...but she and Biden are going head to head next week...that'll be interesting...10 bucks says Palin screws up big time on the live debate >:) nah...I shouldn't give the McCain/Palin supporters such a hard time...or should I :P
Carnage546 3 years ago
Carnage, Biden has stated publically that he is not a good debater. He talks in circles. One thing is certain.....it will be entertaining.
gsummerford 3 years ago
:D It sure as hell will be entertaining: one doesn't know what she's talking about (as far as I've seen), the other just doesn't know how to debate...this Vice Presidential Debate is going to be more interesting than the actual Presidential debate.
P.S. No hard feelings to Obama/Biden or McCain/Palin supporters, I love yah all equally...if that matters to anyone :P
Carnage546 3 years ago
It will be entertaining. I hope Palin has been researching. I fear that they may be harder on her due to her inexperience. Dems want change. Well they got it. obama has zero experience just like Palin. Looking forward to watching.

McCain/Palin 2008
HillaryRCScreehes 3 years ago 2
Ok so what I dont understand is why do Hillary supporters decide to vote for a Republican just because Hillary did not make the democratic ticket? Are you really that superficial that you would not vote for the democratic party just merely in spite? Were you democratic supporters to begin or were you just superficial people wanting a female president? Is it Palin being a woman that made you decide to vote Republican? Does that really have an impact on your decision that much
finalj2k 3 years ago
I agree with you that people should not change their party just because their choice did not get picked. However, at the same time, perhaps some of these people just did not believe in the views obama has. Some people vote for the candidate not for what party they represent. Just my thoughts..........
