FFX-2 isn't the best game in the series. It's definitely got a lot of serious flaws, and really could have use d a little polish and maybe a little more focus. But say what you will about it as a game; Shuyin is a damn good villain.

Well i played and liked it, but something in my heart was a hole with nothing xD, from this game, without counting the fact that was pretty easy vs the final boss of the cloyster
Also, while it's no Dancing Mad, One Winged Angel, or The Extreme, this song is definitely one of the better final boss themes that i've heard from recent FF games. XIII's was just boring, and I'm still an hour or two from beating XII.
In addition, Shuyin, even if I rolled my eyes that he looked just like Tidus, was a good antagonist. The idea of sphere-hunting was cool but manifesting themselves as Dresspheres...in a game with a party of three girls....I don't know, as a guy, it just made me feel awkward at times. I like the job system, and while I get it from an aesthetics and gameplay perspective , from a story perspective, spheres containing memories = magical powers and sweet threads? I appreciate X2, but it's not for me
I personally do not like X-2 because it is so bizarre, even for FF. I liked several aspects of it, namely the plot and the new characters it introduced, and the way they took the battle system, but sometimes it just felt ridiculous. Rikku went from realistically energetic to downright annoying and childish, and the whole "We do it all for fun!" thing was not very motivating as far as an objectve. I liked Yuna's character development though, and the setting being a bit happier was a nice change
I actually like this game Final Fantasy X-2, it had a great storyline that did continue from the previous one, a great and unique game mechanisim with the dress sphere grid and all the outfits one could get in game more, but it felt as if it was all cheap, from the start to the finish it did feel cheap and rushed, but if you take your time and play the game really slow you can appreciate it completely

I think this game is what happened before "Mako" was used in FFVII. In Chapter 5, After you go into the far plane, then go back to Shinra, he says that he can bring the energy from the Farplane up, and can use it to make great cities, like Zanarkand again. He said it was the planet's life. Does any one see any connections? :D
@SauruKakera not only that but in FFX orginaly tidus could get the buster sword but they took it out how ever if you hack the buster sword is still in the game's code

loved this game - not as good as some of the older ones, but was cool from a lore perspective to see the world you saved, afterwards~ (and was a far better game then 13, hands down) though best one so far is 9 - or 12
OK... since it seems that people were too distracted by the girls in skimpy outfits to PAY ATTENTION TO THE STORY...
Shuyin and Tidus are both Fayth-created illusions of the same guy, which is why they're identical. Tidus was mostly made by the memories of people who knew him as a blitzer and a cool/nice guy (if not terribly bright XD). Shuyin, on the other hand, was made from his own memories and the emotions he felt just before he died (i.e. ROYALLY pissed off at the world)
@Quizboy9 The most common theory is that this is the person the fayth modeled Tidus after. They just left a bit of badassery out and gave more whinyness xD

@SebbyXxX Loads of people are allergic to fun and didn't like how the sombre atmosphere of FFX was turned on its head in FFX-2. I enjoyed the game a lot, it had great replay value and had a fun story even if it didn't make a whole lot of sense.

I think this game is what happened before "Mako" was used in FFVII. In Chapter 5, After you go into the far plane, then go back to Shinra, he says that he can bring the energy from the Farplane up, and can use it to make great cities, like Zanarkand again. He said it was the planet's life. Does any one see any connections? :D

loved this game - not as good as some of the older ones, but was cool from a lore perspective to see the world you saved, afterwards~ (and was a far better game then 13, hands down) though best one so far is 9 - or 12

OK... since it seems that people were too distracted by the girls in skimpy outfits to PAY ATTENTION TO THE STORY...
Shuyin and Tidus are both Fayth-created illusions of the same guy, which is why they're identical. Tidus was mostly made by the memories of people who knew him as a blitzer and a cool/nice guy (if not terribly bright XD). Shuyin, on the other hand, was made from his own memories and the emotions he felt just before he died (i.e. ROYALLY pissed off at the world)
