Hey, sure enough, there at 3:00 is the surf.

Wow, right there at 1:49 you can see something fall off of the train, down low. It fell off or was ejected from the machinery. There is a person laying near the tracks.....odd....and something comes rolling off the train just before that person. Almost looks like a ball bearing got red hot and get ejected from a wheel assembly. Not a very safe place to be laying. Laying near railroad tracks?.....that's odd.

F is the body type, 59 is the model (F59 is a Carbody type GP59) P is for Passenger Unit, H is for HEP, and I is for Isolated Cab.

So an F59PHI is a carbody Style EMD GP59 equipped to operate as a Passenger locomotive which produces HEP and has an Isolate Cab.

@UP5853 In reality this number means nothing...Since the "35" line ( SD35 and GP35 ), the numbers in locomotive names are only a choice to EMD, unlike GE, whose numbers regard the horsepower of engine ( ES44 means 4400HP )

I have an Athearn GO Transit F59PHI, GOT never had any F59PHI's, Athearn only made them in GO colours cause they thought they looked close to GO's new MP40PH-3C's ! I hate the F59PHI's and I don't want mine anymore !

some times I ask them to honk the horn and they do. some times if u dont they will still do. there really nice to railfans.Metrolink doesn't like railfans they almost never honk the horn. I only found 2 people from metrolink that honk the horn.

Here's the thing: In the olden days of railroading, two whistles meant highballing, per advance signal from the conductor, and it still pretty much does. The requirements for today are a bit different, where only a ringing of the bell is required. Now, I believe Metrolink is NOT SUPPOSED to sound the horn, except for crossings, of course.
