  • Which pro players are your friends ?

  • Awsome, thanks for your comment, it's helped me tons

    Dean

  • PMSFL.....he was moving the damned cue to suit the return hahhaha.

I bet he uses another stroke very often.

  • Not true, but I may have moved just a little, lol -

Keep Watching, you just might learn something...

    "Dean's Pool Tips"

  • This are good tricks, but for very amateur people, because after a while the problem is the little inch that you move in the stroke and when practicing with a bottle of water there is a loooot of space for imperfection.

  • Yes, but it's up to you to execute "Perfection" I'm just helping you get there!

    Dean

    "Dean's Pool Tips"

  • Great tip. Simple and easy to do. Thanks

  • Your welcome, glad I could help.

    "Dean's Pool Tips"

  • canada over russia 7-3!!!!!

  • what about bustamante, see when he stroke they call it a wind mill, it's like a rail of a train. I guess everyone has their own technique wherever or whatever they were used too. Alot of great players spot their cue ball in one angle but when they shoot, the tip of the cue hits the right angle for the shot, i tried this before and it was allright. you're video is the most proper way of stroking. Great video and great techniques.

  • I would have to say, that is the Biggest Compliment I've ever received, and I remember doing an interview with Mr. Bustamonte, a very nice man and awsome pool player.

    Thanks for watching

    Dean

    "Dean's Pool Tips"

  • i seen u move the cue,,,lol but really if u try this then good luck finding a rail that will react the same everytime

  • I agree, but honestly we should be playing and practicing on tables that are correct, otherwise what's the point... keep up the good work

    "Dean's Pool Tips"

  • i'm great at breaking, but not as good at just shooting, i'm a muscular guy, so i guess it was just hard to keep the stick straight, but i worked on these exercises and now i'm doing great! thanks!

  • Accuracy is extremely key when playing pool, no matter how hard you hit. Work on your technique and save your power for break'n -

Thanks for the compliment, keep up the good work.

    Dean "Dean's Pool Tips"

  • @mpsoldier215

muscles have nothing to do with it. its all about angle distance and the weight of the cue. if you have a 21 ouncer? you dont have to put much force in it.

  • Nice video, Check out mine and tell me what you think ... I am just starting out but I dont think they are to bad!

  • Ok, I will and thanks for watching

    Dean

  • wo long stick in a bottle hole

  • What about Bustamante?

    Thanks for watching,

    Lois

    I live in La Puente.

    I'll stop by hehe

  • Tell"m Dean"s say hey>>>> fun place to go play

    Dean

  • I love getting down into position, keeping my elbow straight up and down and executing through the mouth of the bottle without touching the rim.

  • sounds pretty perfect to me. no rim shots is a good thing

    Dean

  • i practice my stroke every night put i have a problem cue stick hurts and i need someone to put english on my cue balls can you help me

  • Hmmmm I don't think I can help, you need a good woman for that one.....

    good luck

    Dean

  • yea that bottle thing was pretty smart

  • thanks....

    Dean

  • I've heard most of those tips before, except the bottle one !

that is probably the most effective tip I've ever heard. Keep it up !

  • Thanks.... so glad I could show it to you, your awsome.....

    Dean

  • hey dean, i just wanna say how great ur vids r and i really appreciate your expert advice and guidance. thanks again!

    John Wellman

  • Nice comment, thanks

    Dean

  • i dont get how to curve the ball without messing up the table. can you please help me a bit?

  • Control your stroke, the rest will follow....

    Dean

  • I like the practice! :) I have my own cue now and I practice my stroke every time I get my cue out of the case. It's not chalked yet... But in the poolhall is not that possibly to practice. Cues are very dirty and smoke from cigars are cind of problem. And also I don't have much friends that like pool as much as I do. So that is problem too. Anyway.. the practice is great. I noticed the calmness after very first time. NOW just to find somebody to practice with, damn and the TABLE Too! THANKS ;)

  • Cool tip with the bottle.

  • can you make a video focus on the draw shot. or explain it more in detail.

  • I will do that in the next set of videos. I actually show that on my DVD, there are other tips not available on the internet also.

    Thanks

    Dean

  • thanks you dirty pool player... keep it straight

    Dean

  • dean has a great stroke

  • thanks for posting

  • hey dean i was wonder how you "masse" or curve the cue ball around an obstructing ball

  • Practice your stroke, be sure to chalk up before each shot, and remember you don't have to kill the cue ball, just create enough spin to change it's direction and enough speed to reach your target. good luck, this shot requires lots of practice, have fun with this shot.

    Dean

  • He kinda moves the cue a little in the first exercise

  • dean

i have been playing pool since i was 6 and im 13.

i learnt on a little pool table by the way.

how can i get better on my shots and knowing were to hit the ball and how hard to hit the ball?

is there anything you could do to no how hard you have to hit the ball?

  • First sorry for getting back to you so late, been out of town. Practice hitting the cue ball at different speeds, mark a spot on the table and land on it, do this at different speeds and distance, good luck

    Dean

  • thanks

  • Your welcome

    Dean

  • but what happens if you're playing on a wobbly table, or one with holes in it

  • Don't do it.. if you really want to have a real game of pool play on a non-wobbly table without the holes... lol

    Good Luck

    Dean

  • thanks again for the stroke help!

  • Dean I've been playinG pool for almost 4 yrs and I always seem to have these weird stages where I completely lose accuracy and aim even though I haven't given up on it.I can go for weeks until I regain the skills to play pool perfectly or close to perfect.I would really appreciate it if you could explain to me why this is happening and what I can do to prevent this.Thanks.

  • Hey, you know I've been playing for awhile too, and I also run into ruts that I cant seem to get out of. It seems like my head is getting in the way and Im just not shooting pool and thinking about the rut too much, maybe try to just forget about the rut and just shoot.

  • This is exactly why we become inconsistant, we think too much. Lock in to what works right down to how you stand, stroke, eye movement etc...be consistant and practice and try not to out think yourself, relax and do what works, shoot with confidence, never second guess yourself when executing a shot.

Sounds easy but it's not, give it a try and get back, like to know how your doing.

    Dean "Dean's Pool Tips"

  • hi dean thanks for your videos they are really great i learned alot from your videos.

  • that bottle action was pretty hot!

  • How did I know that I wouldn't have to scroll down very far to find an immature jackass making inuendo about the bottle?

  • thanks dean i lost a cheap match the other day your videos have really helped my game. thank you

  • When I try the bottom left english the white ball spins off to the right as if I put right english on it once it's hit the other ball. What could I be doing wrong?

  • Rememer when you put spin on your cue ball and hit another ball, you also create spin on the ball your hitting. If you put bottom left spin on your cue ball, the ball your hitting will sping to the right, play around with this shot, in the pool world we call this "Spin Transfer". Good Luck!

    Dean

  • hey dean...so when you put english on the cue ball, should you in any way change your aim on the object ball accordingly to accomodate the spin?

  • Hey Dean. Sent you a few comments already. Great great videos :) Just a question, when playing all kinds of pool, do you reference the 'diamonds' on the table when taking shots (especially bank shots)? They are mainly used as reference points for banking shots, correct? Keep up the great work with your vids

  • Yes, they are there as reference points on the table. When practicing always us a point of reference, starting point and where the balls stop or pocket. Cue ball control is key when positioning for your next shot, make this a priority when playing billiard pool, make the shot first, then position the cue ball, think 3 balls ahead when playing for position. Good Luck

    Dean

  • Hey man, i have been watching some of your videos and it has been really helpful, so thank you very much. And i appreciate how you get back to people and try to help them when they leave a comment. You are awesome.

  • thanks again, just going through all of my comments and yours reminds me of why I'm doing this... Take Care -

    Happy New Year

    Dean

  • now i notice something special about that cue ball, it got red dots on it, is it for practice use for english etc?

  • The 6 red dots are for practice and to help your game. They will also allow you to visualise the intentional and unintentional spin you apply.

Thanks for watching and be sure to be on the lookout for my new DVD which will include all of my tips, plus 6 new ones.

  • lol you cheated! you moved the cue slightly left.

  • LOL.... You were paying attention, I beleive the cue did move slightly... oops - but I think you get the idea don't you??

    Thanks for watching

    Dean

  • lol dont worry im not a hater. i watched all your videos recently since i was a first timer at pool on the weekend. i love it sooo much. i appreciate you posting videos for novices like me since there arent many videos that show you how to play pool. thanks again!

here if you need me, good luck with your game.
