hi tiana. just wondering if you have tried printing off a digital camera as well as your cellphone? i assume there would be a huge increase in photo quality.
awesome review. i'm planning to travel for 9 months and i'm planning to take one of these with me so i can keep up a travel journal with pictures from my canon s95 as i go.
@thelataliana I haven't tried printing directly from my digital camera, but I have tried printing photos from my computer that I got off my digital camera. There is definitely an increase in photo quality.
Great idea taking one with you while you travel! It'll definitely make for a fun scrapbook.
may I know why it doesn't need any ink?? I am just curious. I mean how can it doesn't need any ink?? when It's need to be print, then how the photo can print??
Really great review! very clear and concise, and I agree it seems that the iphone is the phone to have and its a bit ridiculous that its not supported
I have the same problem as Beximos..I have windows 7..and when you're in the control panel under devices and printers, the gl10 is listed as unspecified? Also when you try to troubleshoot with windows it says under problems found "PolaroidGL10 doesn't have a driver" Do i have to download a driver too? Thanks
@walkylb2 Hmm, I have Windows 7 too and it works fine for me. You could try downloading the driver manually. If you right-click on the device in My Computer and hit Properties, then click the Hardware tab, there might be some indication of what's wrong. Or at least the option to try and update the driver.
Afternoon, GL10 lovers. I got a GL10 for Christmas and I can print from it fine from my Samsung digital camera without any issues. I've been trying to print from my Windows laptop now, I've downloaded the programme for my computer and it opens and works fine but down in the right bottom corner where it says the 'printer status' I can't get the printer to be connected!! At all! Regardless of what USB lead I use, (I've tried a few)... any suggestions on how to get this to work?!
@Beximos Maybe your computer isn't detecting the USB. Try this: right-click on "My Computer", then "Manage", then go to the "Device Manager", then right-click on "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" (at the bottom) and click "Scan for hardware changes". That'll force your computer to check if the printer is plugged in. Oh and make sure the printer is actually turned on, because the computer won't detect it if it's off.
@mrksundaram Your computer should install the *driver* automatically, but the actual *GL10 App* needs to be downloaded manually. You can get it on the polaroid website - polaroid .com/en/greylabel
That was a fantastic review. I had my doubts because you aren't some TECHchannel rep, but you told me everything I need to know and more. So thanks for that!
I have a Droid too and polaroid has the Windows program in an app for it, so I'm excited for this product. Lady GaGa or not, this is a great idea.
You don't actually need that extremely bugy and clumsy GL10 app on your computer. All you need to do is to pair the printer with your computer after which you can just send the photo to the printer through bluetooth connection. However I don't know if you need to install the app and connect with cable before you can pair it with BT because I wan't able to pair it with my laptop. It just kept asking the pass code no matter how I tried but everything went fine with my iMac which had the app innit
@NicksDream It works for cameras that use PictBridge (allow direct printing). Not sure what specific model yours is but if you go to the PictBridge website you can view the specific Nikon models that have it: cipa.jp/pictbridge/CertifiedModels/PictBridgeCertifiedModels_E.html#DSC_NIKON
I have an iphone and I'm so bummed I can't print from it! What I'm even more bummed about is I can't find ANY information online on how to print from the computer. Polaroid . com doesn't help at all. :( Can you please help me???
@mariahkittn If you go to the website, polaroid .com/en/greylabel, and slide the scroller over a bit, you can see panels that say "The GL10 App available now for the Mac" and the PC version below it. Download that & install it. Then plug the printer into your computer, let it install the driver, and open the GL10 program. You can navigate on the left hand side to the folder / pic you want, then click "print" at the top of the screen. Hopefully that works for you. Let me know if u need more help
@hobbzrulz159 Yeah the video got blocked because of song copyright reasons :( The pony is still around, he's 30 years old now and is being ridden & shown by some young girls! He's a super-pony. The girl is still riding too, she's 18 now.
@tiana33 Aww Im so glad he is still around, thats great that hes still going, wow he was a mustang wasn't he? Thats so cool! Great to hear that theyre both doing well :)
is there a way that you can take off the border and just have a picture without the polaroid frame?

@sarahssyoon Yep you can do that just by pressing a button. See 0:44-1:00.

@EpikRadiO It's kind of awesome actually - the paper's got colour crystals inside it, and the correct colour is shown by applying heat.
