@Overhazard I'd say that it just MIGHT happen. The latest news that was leaked onto the internet said that the sequel be not just for the wii, but for the 360 and ps3, maybe even the Kinect. And there's also a chance that there will be a co-op feature in which player 2 would play Oswald. Disney hasn't officially confirmed it, hence MIGHT, but those appear to be the latest new on Epic Mickey 2
At the end when you see mickey's finger all blotty and stuff you just know there's gonna be an Epic Mickey 2. Why can't Disney sell it now huh? I mean seriously!!!
just because mickey still has the blot inside of him dosne't mean that a sequel is already in the works, warren spector still has other projects to finish before he can go back to this, and he did mention that he palnned epic mickey to be a trilogy, so we might expect two more games.
@AshtonSneedVEVO Junction Point also got massive layoffs because Disney Interactive was not happy with Epic Mickey's sales. (Its total sales so far is 2 million, which I would not say is bad at all.)
I think that the small Blotlings in the credits resemble the Rabbids not only in behaviour but in their structure too.
On another note, I have to say that i really enjoyed your walkthrough, even though there were a lot of boring parts which could not be skipped or cut, such as the long dungeons, but necessary at the same time. I just hope that the puzzles were "solvable" without going here and there...
@pet1996 Thank you. It is obviously not quite as boring when actually playing the game, of course. But it's really due to the nature of the game. If someone were to go through a Zelda game the first time, it wouldn't be too interesting either.
@NightOwlat12 The next playthrough has just started. (I don't take requests for what I put up because that actually costs money if it's a game I don't already have.)
I suppose I consider the ending a bit of an anticlimax, but the battles within the blot, as well as the battles to get to the towers were rather challenging. It would have been nice to maybe do the fireworks as a bit of a shoot 'em up section, but you get what you get.
I'm a bit surprised that the whole dynamic between Oswald and Mickey doesn't change much weather you are a scrapper or hero though. You still get the whole "brothers" thing in the ending, but I guess they wanted a happy ending.
Well done, congratulations on getting through this whole game. How long did it take you overall? I bought this game and tried it, didn't get past the first part because the game made me too dizzy with all the moving around, so I traded it in.
Anyway, I agree that the ending seemed anticlimatic...I was really hoping for a big boss battle, but to me I guess they wanted Oswald to be the "true bero." At least everything ended happily ever after...?
@Overhazard No I think it was just this game that made me dizzy, because of the camera movement. I'm not sure if the darkness of the game had anything to do with it, though. I don't think I've ever felt dizzy playing similar games but I can't say for sure since I haven't played this kind of game very often.
@R0ckG1r7 This might not necessarily happen though. Half of Junction Point has been laid off, and Disney Interactive has retreated away from console gaming entirely, now only doing downloadable games.
I wanted to see if you had remembered me. (I have a bad memory, so I usually ask if the person I'm talking to remembers me so I don't feel like an idiot. XD)
Anyway, I played Epic Mickey, too. I want to know about your thoughts having finished the game.
Damn right. Still do, just to take notes on pieces of scenery in boss battles. BTW, there's a ladder in the Crystal Castle boss stage. Try and guess why.
Agreed. There were a lot of flaws, but you have to remember; no one's ever tried this formula for any character or game and had this much success before. There were attempts in the late 90s, but they all failed HORRIBLY.
@R0ckG1r7 That's Bomamba's stage, right? I remember seeing the ladder there. It's because Bomamba can't fly.
The trial and error could've been reduced by giving a hint system, such as NPCs saying things or Gus supplying advice. No matter how genre-busting they want to be, if they're going to have a high puzzle element to it, the puzzles need to either be intuitive or we're given hints to the answers.
Well, I guess that's a good reason, but there's also another one. You know that superstition about ladders, right? Same one as black cats. Nya~
Good point. I can definitely say that there needed to be some serious tweaking done. Then again, don't a lot of good games have a few things we don't like about them?
@R0ckG1r7 Sure. No game is perfect. I would've liked to see the puzzles be more like the kinds found in The Legend of Zelda or Zack & Wiki, where you look at it for a while, figure out what to do, and do it.
i might get the dark/bad ending

@SuperDaidai14 I don't think it would. Epic Mickey is a platformer, and platformers always sell best on the Wii.

In case no one noticed, the cartoons in the credits are actually going in order from the first projector screen to the last.

Was this the final runthrough in which you collected everything in the game?

if there gonna make a second one they better make it like they were originally gonna make this.

@acheron187 I'd personally like to see an Epic Donald with Clara Cluck as the antagonist.

@Overhazard warren spector was considering making that. He decided against it, because making a game like that would be awkward....lol

Nah collecting all 30 Gremlins doesn't affect your ending, really, all they're there for is helping make some challenges easier.
