  • What's the point of the guy wearing a fire suit and a helmet he's only doing 30 at max

  • One of my favorite shows!

  • they should have used a FTE imo.

  • omg racegroves

  • dodge viper rt/10 was one of the toy cars crashing into the "busted" sign at the end... imagine if they put it up against the big viper... viper vs viper

  • one problem they had was they used Johney Lighting which are not as fast as Hotwheels not saying it would have changed the outcome but i think it would have played a role

  • Thumbs up for race grooves the best one on YouTube

  • 4:39 The guy in the blue shirt is race grooves

  • @HotWheelsDieCast Who is Race Grooves? (grin)

  • ya a hotwheel car would smoke the viper

  • i meant what about a hotwheel car beating a viper

  • hot wheels will smoke any other brand of toy car!!

  • D:<

    what about a hotwheel car

  • the object with the smallest moment of inertia will be the quickest :)

  • @Markus3400 not necessarily.

  • I love Hot Wheels AND Dodge Viper. GREAT vid.

  • This is crap. Look at how fast the viper took off. The driver was babying it. Car would have won if it was not for the driver.

  • @MonacaYankee it was all set on gravity .. the viper was in neutral ... breaks off.. the toy and the viper were head to head on gravity alone

  • You will also notice that the white camaro rubs on the edge of the track much of the way. I don't know if it was because the street was not level or that the model didn't roll straight. Johnny Lightning provided the diecast directly to Beyond Productions/Mythbusters.

  • @racegrooves The track heated up during the course of the morning causing it to warp. so thats why the toy car began rubbing. Its also possible that the alignment was rather loose. You kow...the hole in the plastic tire was just large enough to allow for too much movement. Hot Wheels have a a longer hole for the axel to keep a straighter alignment. Secondly...why do they keep calling it a camaro? it was a Chevelle....

  • @nascargas You know that racegrooves was himself at the TV set and is a HW pro?

  • @hossini Perhaps he is a HW afficiado and was there...but it was a johnny lightning casting...and somehow during the production, they decided that Camaro was a better sounding word, or the cast couldnt get beyond remembering which car it actually was...and figured that the majority of the watching public wouldnt really care...too many times the truth gets lost in the production...

  • a big problem was that the camaro was bouncing all over the track because it wasnt wide enough. because of this it has a bigger chance of flying off. also it brings down the speed
