got that on cutsenes, its easy, u knwo when the scene comes and just press esc the whole time, so you canskip and you can play normaly, works fine for me on XP

i had windows xp on my first computer then the computer died so we got another with xp and monkey island 3 crashes at exact moment: wally: you scabriss swabwabwabwabwabwab then that keeps going and the charcter animation without sound then the diologe thing doesnt pop up so you 'word' then it crashes

This games runs fine ith Xp, the cutscene fix is extremely easy and you don't need SCUMMVM.

Startmenu>>Run>>dxdiag>>sound>­>sound/acceleration level to basic acceleration>>save and exit.

Poof! you now have a clean running Curse of Monkey Island :)

They go poof in the animation, but Microsoft's great programming made the game crash at that exact moment, as it usually did for cutscenes.

The game's fine in SCUMMVM though.
