Yes brutus is in charge (blue collar). I wouldn't be letting them on the sofas though; asking for trouble. And you don't need to to scold them for jumping on each other, this is perfectly normal, friendly fun play and nothing to worry about. Just sit back and enjoy laughing at them, that's what I do with mine :-)
This is exactly how our mastiff plays... the difference is he likes to play with us.. really trying to teach him out of it because he also likes to play with visitors..
i think Brutus is alpha.. Right from the start he was pawing over the shoulders of Ruby. And, he reassured it by climbing over the sofa, to show Ruby "I'm rank higher!" When Ruby repeatedly snaps her teeth, she was performing a submissive "grin", which is good.
Both Ruby and Brutus are more aggressive now as they are 20 months old now; Brutus is huge, and since Ruby had puppies, she has filled out more and both of them are quickly adding muscle (bulk). It takes Neos 4 years to grow fully.
we have three neos and they always toy fight but freya whos two always takes it to the next level and bullies lady and hannibal !lady has just been to stud and we're expecting some fat chunky puppies in seven weeks !we will soon be adding some vids and cant wait for our litter to arrive !!!gem x
I love Neos! Those long tails must be wicked. I fostered a Neo for about a month and she would wrestle with my 30lb. Corgi...and she let the Corgi win!
Yes, Neos are great! Brutus' tail is like a monkey tail, he can curl the tip of it; and if they hit you with their tail just right they can leave a bruise, lol; Brutus weighs 150 pounds and he is only a year old; Ruby is his sister. We have 4 Neos in all, and just sold all the puppies from this past litter this past weekend. I have other Neo videos up here too, and clips of Brutus when he was 5 weeks old. - - hottrodscars - - Rockford, IL.
Hmm.. For a second there it looked like a battle of the wits was brewing... But then it was back to the fight.

Are these pure bread Neapolitans? They look like Cane Corso mastiffs.
