  • NOBODY did a recitation like Tex Ritter...!

  • We used to play this at KVEG Radio in Las Vegas in 1963 when I was a deejay there. It is a great recording.

  • I heard this once on an old time radio show and realized what a man Tex RItter was. The message really resonated with me. It is clear that so often a man's true worth just goes unnoticed in the hustle and bustle of life and it takes a special person who can see potential in somebody. I think it is for each of us to look for special value in the people we meet and encourage them while they are still on this earth.

  • I love this old song. I've looked for it a long time. So beautiful. That's the way with us when The Master touches us. Our creator knows what to do.

  • Think it was on a album so 33 rpm. Think it was Just Beyond the Moon

  • My Dad had the 78 of this, and I inherited when he died, but sadly it got broken. it was the "B" side of "green grow the lilacs". It was always one of my favourites and I still know all the words.

  • @tosie53 Think it was on a album so 33 rpm. Think it was Just Beyond the Moon. My Dad had it and I copied it to cassette about 30 years ago and still have that tape.
