What you do is buy a region free DVD player, then order DVDs from Amazon UK. I got Spaced long before it was released in the US. Another thing is that for some reason DVDs in the UK are cheaper than in the US, and often times their DVD releases are better than the US releases.

@audreybsmith True. You can also tweek a large percentage of players to make them region-free. Be careful though because a lot of the DVDs released in the UK are actually crappier than the US ones (missing extra-features and stuff).

I saw spaced on youtube... and then at Christmas I saw it on offer for £6.00, both series and bought it as a present (to myself).

If I hadn't seen it on youtube I wouldn't have even thought of buying it, probably wouldn't have even noticed it in the shop.

Then I watched the whole thing on belgrovian's channel on YouTube, and I was really happy to be able to do that. I had videos banned because of TV copyright legality when I was being creative using a old Six Million Dollar man episode for a music related video. People loved it but it was taken off, probably promoted the video not harmed it.

A lot of my favourites get taken off (eg clips of Family Guy, Episodes of MST3K) because of copyright reasons. It's a pain in the arse because you'd think Fox would be glad that someone is advertising their show for free And you can't get MST3K over here. So Kudos to Simon Pegg!
