  • Seeing this after not for a while make me home sick for Toecane! An seeing Joes's love shack well!! I love this!!Love the music!!!Still ur biggest fan! And proud that I know you guys!!!!

  • The locations, however, were fantastic. The old iron bridge spanning the fast-flowing river was great. The random track footage, too, was shot in locations that were well considered. Again, though, a most disastrous soundtrack made viewing your film for me an exhausting, tedious exercise.

  • The soundtrack was extremely distracting and grossly inappropriate, as it did nothing to enhance the footage. I was also very disappointed that the protagonist at no time was seen riding on a train. If you're going to make a film about a guy who rides trains, you need to film a guy who rides trains. The scene in which the guy waves to the train worker was weak. You could tell that that sequence was edited. The footage of the protagonist waving was spliced into the footage of the CSX truck.

  • just my kind of camera-work ! I love the wide-angle, wide-screen framing compositions that show off your wonderful locations so well. a serious ( 2 day ?) effort . camera work, locations- +++ !

  • this is shit... no train hopper is that clean, and wearing those type of cloths...

  • dude, ur a nazi? really? racist?

oh and he is clean and dressed that way

so whatever dont be jealous lol

  • I hopped a train and couldnt get off. I ended up in another state.

  • extremely dangerous to train hop...a friend of my dads friend got chopped up by doing this, he told me he watched it happen and it was the saddest thing to ever witness....

  • yeah, i have a friend who told me the same thing....it's pretty intense. though i still wanna attempt to do it. I've done it before..i just never rode far enough to reach another state

  • yeah its great to do its dangerus but fun... im leaving again in like 10 days finishing my trip to east

  • yeah true that man my friend logan trains hopps and fuckn he seen to many greens die on that shit because thy were being stupid and not listing to him so thy got swept under

  • Beautiful

  • Fantastic work!!

  • godspeed you!

  • A few of you are missing the point though, this film is a work of art and not documentary of thrill seeking such as brave Dave. He has made a great little film but not a fair comparison is it, two totally different genres of the film artform.

  • Good stuff, sensitively put together without the usual stereotypes, I think it is a strong piece of work.

Like you said, many people shun the rat race by choice and lets not forget how in our modern society that camping is seen as a leisure pursuit but not so much fun if your survival depends on it. With all the troubles in the world, the economy and hurricanes, we may yet see more homeless in the near future.

  • I could have been the mayor of cardboard city

  • it's the 2nd great depression...and you will because that's really what started it all.

  • this soundtrack is great, man. could you give some song or artist names?

  • god speed you black emperor... and you will know us by the trail of dead... murder by death... descolada...

I think that is all... all of them are on the web or myspace...

    best...

  • definitely, bro. good film. im impressed.

  • excellent short man. Thanks for putting this up.

  • that was good

  • Wow this is good...

But actually the Hobo Living video is much, much better than this shit.

  • youtube Bethzaj, yo

  • o ok thanks

  • Is this Harrpers Ferrie?

  • Mitchell County, NC.

  • being homeless for a couple of years myself I think you've done a wonderful job at capturing just how quiet and peaceful it is most of the time.

  • Thank you... most folks do not realize that many homeless people live the way they do by CHOICE...

And if you discount the hassles and uncomforts of the lifestyle... it is not neccessarily a bad way to live...

  • nice what did you use to edit it?

  • adobe premiere...

  • nice video tho.

  • seems to play fine now yeh, sorry..

  • vid doesnt play properly, sort it out!

  • SEEMS TO BE WORKING FINE HERE...

  • lol he wasn't even on a train

  • good work with the god speed

  • excellent movie, great tunes. murder by death and explosions in the sky are teetums.

  • i wish i could find a nice place like that in the end

    i would live there

  • i have to say that's a damn good video.

  • Yeah just use the one at the library

  • can a true hobo have a computer with their own websight?

  • Notice he didn't call himself a Hobo... the title says "train hopping" unlike some folks who claim to be something they aren't.

  • A hobo may be looked down on by society, and called worthless but they are the best experts on survival you'll ever see, and that's a fact.

  • excellent movie. i would love to ride accross the US one day.

  • I think BraveDaves video is better.

  • what did the csx worker think of u filming him

  • agreed

  • loved it! very film

  • what kidna of camera did yall use?

  • SONY mini DV....
