don't get 19ts. dr650s spool faster and can get more power. Low 11s in a full weight car. 10s in a car that weighs less would be easy. Probably lighter hood, wheels, racing seats, ditch the a/c and boom 10s with dr650s and supporting mods.

Your full of shit stock bottom end 6g72 (vr4) was able to take 25+ psi and handle 600+ hp at the wheels and 600+ torque at the wheels thats also with stock heads/cams and bolt on turbos.

I don't see why you find it so hard to believe. Others have done the same thing on stock intercoolers, and internals. Its no surprise. The engines are strong. Anyways Supras are a tad bit stronger stock internals can take 800whp.

Not just that. Ken just doesn't understand Forced Induction and Compression Ration IMO. 31psi is nothing if you ask me. I ran 32psi on pump and meth on a bone stock Evo IX turbo. Imports run TONS of boost, because alot of them are running CR's of 8.5:1 or 9:1, so we have a bit more leniency with detonation and cylinder head pressure. Thats why I dislike this show. They always have muscle head's on the podiums, and always giving out RIDICULOUSLY slow times for cars that could probably run 9's.
I can't afford all those awesome upgrades on my presently 500HP 92 RT/TT but maybe one day? Oh..anyone reading this know a source for a cowl I want to put on my 92 Stealth?

only the 3000GT VR4 MR's were as fast the as the GTR's. due to the lack of adjustable suspension, adjustable spoiler, adjustable exhaust, and a more aggressive rear diff.
the US spec VR'4s had about 400+lbs more then the R34 gtr. which weighs in at 3450lbs.
i believe the R34 gtr is faster then even the MR because of it's larger turbos producing more torque and stock boost levels and lighter weight and newer atessa-ets pro system.

I know I wasn't expecting much, there aren't many import-based cars on this show on Speed. I figured about 13 seconds with the light weight and the ridiculous 31lbs of boost, then I read the description and had to see it to believe it.
This car is quite a bit faster the 3sx's car is. This car has gone 8.81@166mph VS 3sx's best of 9.21@154mph. In cars this fast 4/10th is a HUGE amount. Not to mention this car ran those times at 3600ft, not at see level like 3sx's car did. Do a you tube search for Worlds Fastest Stealth if you want to see what it runs when not babied out of the hole.
Freakin sweet man, I got a N/A 91 Stealth, I wish it was TT but they're still awesome cars and alot of fun to drive.

@coupe3kgt I am familiar with Ray Pampena of Pampena Motorsports, however you talk as if you not only know the cars and the owners personally, but have helped to build and tune the cars themselves.....But like i said, having seen what has happened more than once to a stock 3/S with too much boost, i simply find it hard to believe that they can push that much through the stock engine with just turbos and fuel, but if they did, then standing ovation to them!

I don't see why you find it so hard to believe. Others have done the same thing on stock intercoolers, and internals. Its no surprise. The engines are strong. Anyways Supras are a tad bit stronger stock internals can take 800whp.

I said i have known people who have spun bearings, blown off intake pipes, and destroyed the stock 9bs because they thought they could go out and buy a manual boost controller and turn the thing up to 18, 20, 22psi, and run the piss out of it. I personally know a guy in Indianapolis who spun two bearings and gunked up his valves bcause he was tryin to get 20psi out of a bone stock 91 stealth TT. Thats just his bad luck i gess, rite?

@coupe3kgt And are you sure those ignition wires were ten years old? Last time i checked, the last 3/S rolled of the assembly line in '99, not 2001. They may have been 10 year old plug wires several years ago, but im pretty certain you wont find a 2001 Mitsubishi 3000gt vr4 rollin around town anytime soon.....just sayin, that may have been a typo on your part.

If you listen closely to the video, Ken said that he thought that the guy would spin the tires, hence the crazy time that he gave. He has his own chassis shop so I would think that he would know what a car like that would do. I also agree with wellshii's comment that he might have thought that the guy couldn't drive.

haha I love this show I watch it all the time, I'm a two time stealth owner and I currently have a 95 r/t. Ken isn't very good with tuners, he a muscle car guy, lol I was laughing pretty loud when he was like I'm hoping he spins... with the power band the real power doesn't show up until higher rpms and the AWD... it's not gonna spin much if any.. But boy I love seeing ken's reaction on these tuners, lol he never knows what to do with them.

Whats ABSOLUTELY HYSTERICAL about this show, is they ALWAYS underestimate EVERY SINGLE import. They were giving time's of the 2 DSM's on that show, 1 with a 3065 and 2.4 stroker, the other with a stock bottom end but something comparable to a 35r on E85, to both be running 14 second 1/4 mile times. Thats why I think muscle heads have to pull there entire bodies from there ass. And then on top of that, have the audacity to shit on the dude with the 31psi comment. Dumbass muscleheads....

Not just that. Ken just doesn't understand Forced Induction and Compression Ration IMO. 31psi is nothing if you ask me. I ran 32psi on pump and meth on a bone stock Evo IX turbo. Imports run TONS of boost, because alot of them are running CR's of 8.5:1 or 9:1, so we have a bit more leniency with detonation and cylinder head pressure. Thats why I dislike this show. They always have muscle head's on the podiums, and always giving out RIDICULOUSLY slow times for cars that could probably run 9's.

only the 3000GT VR4 MR's were as fast the as the GTR's. due to the lack of adjustable suspension, adjustable spoiler, adjustable exhaust, and a more aggressive rear diff.
the US spec VR'4s had about 400+lbs more then the R34 gtr. which weighs in at 3450lbs.
i believe the R34 gtr is faster then even the MR because of it's larger turbos producing more torque and stock boost levels and lighter weight and newer atessa-ets pro system.

This car is quite a bit faster the 3sx's car is. This car has gone 8.81@166mph VS 3sx's best of 9.21@154mph. In cars this fast 4/10th is a HUGE amount. Not to mention this car ran those times at 3600ft, not at see level like 3sx's car did. Do a you tube search for Worlds Fastest Stealth if you want to see what it runs when not babied out of the hole.
