How can their "genre change" each album? They are a ROCK band like The Pixies and Husker Du that on each album each song is different from each other. That's punk rock. But no, I am not going to call it punk rock because dumbasses over the years had to make punk such a strict genre, each band in punk had to sound the same, each band had to sound like Black Flag. If you made a song with a catchy melody, your not punk. Punk = freedom.

So sad. My poor little Wavves went off and died and were replaced by pop clones. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is catchy. That doesn't make it good. This is only trippy and psychadelic if you're on prozac. I loved their first two albums, but this one's garbage. I've heard some of the other songs (which were atrocious) but I have to say this is the worst one off this album.

@MrSiverfish I like the first two albums much better than this one, but all said this is a wonderful song. King of the Beach is a good album, it's just a departure of style. I don't think it's trippy either, though. :P

@ztatom I understand your point and of course you are right about it simply being a departure of style...I hope. They claim themselves that they only made this album because it was their last chance to use the big studio equipment and they wanted to see what would happen if they did. Hopefully they will either return to their original style or find a new one that's better or at least comparable. At least if they do, perhaps they've picked up a new following to listen to their good stuff :)
