  • Most helpful video I ever found on youtube!

  • In real Tibetan Buddhism the higher goal is to realize the "nature of Mind". This nature is pure and space-like or clear light. We are this Mind but don't recognize this because Mind is so utterly pure without any marks. Instead we chase after Mind that is phenomenalized which is samsara.

  • I a Hindu by birth. I studied Islam and Christianity. Finally, I found peace by teachings of Buddhism. I left eating non vegetarian food only because of Buddhism.

  • @flashproadobe That's a strange statement, you dpn't have to eat meat to be a buddhist ... ! ? HH 17th Karmapa & 12 th Gyalwang Drukpa are vegetarians and many more ...

  • @flashproadobe Yeah but you can eat meat in Buddhism. In fact it is required in ganachakra.

  • @HinduismIsHeretical, you can, but it's better not to, except in certain rituals. Read Compassionate Action by Chatral Rinpoche.

  • Love this man more then anyone else!

  • Nirvana is mind turned inward, samsara mind turned outward...this is exactly the definition of World/Self that Ramana Maharshi gave. And yet, once the radiant transparency is realized, thoughts cannot obstruct its intuition (though they get very faded out). So it cannot be simple a question of introversion/extroversion. It is this hypnotic quality that the mind has entrances the intelligence with its imgages. And this it seems to me is what needs to be broken. Best wishes to all! Daniel

  • Representations can only represent, but they are presented, and present. That’s all you need to know. It takes a miracle to really understand this.

  • if u need more explanations i`m more than glad to offer them to u but that i will do in private messages so who is interested please contact me ..

  • A terrific teacher, and teaching.

  • Hey IceBogdan20, have u really read Bible? Jesus wasnt just a teacher or Rabbi, he was/is GOD himself. why would he have to go to east to learn something from people, when he knows everything himself - as he created everything. makes no sense. theres no chance to combine two religions, they are different. if one is right then other is wrong, they all cant be right... so u choose

  • @denzelonline

to assume that god made everything is good and i think that in this case christianity is right but , the buddha teaches us the truth , namely be the four noble truths ... he teaches us that nothing is permanent in this world , christianity has a similar idea , i think is something like this :do not gather wealth on this world because in the world of the father you will not need them they are of this world and this world alone . so you see actually the essence is the same . Peace

  • This is a very special teaching- Thank you very much for posting.

Extra special to me even, because I´ve just been in retreat with a descendant of the Master he quoted and talked about in the beginning. Including the hand gesture ;-)

  • Thank you, this is so good!

  • Such a good teaching, thank you so much for posting this!

  • really beautiful and moving...Thank you all!

  • i am a Christian by birth but i think the real way to understant the univers , ourselfs and all that we call religion is the buddhist way because we must be enlightened to understand the true nature of things ... how can we say that we understand religion and all the other things in this world if we do not even know our own selfs ... i hoppe that in the near future i can understand my self better and maybe one day i can become enlightened so i can teach others how to be more careing

  • @IceBogdan20

You're right in saying that, regardless of religion, we have to realise the truth. Once we realise the truth, we'll be liberated from all our suffering. Heaven & hell that Buddha talked about is this life & life after

  • @IceBogdan20 I have often wondered if Christ, in his early adulthood his late teens and 20s- a time of his life of which there is no account, didn't go off and explore the east and eastern culture because when he came back, he was an completely different Rabbi - preached a different kind of Judaism. No more was God a God of punishment but of compassion, forgiveness, etc. I think there is nothing inconsistent with the tenets of Buddhism and Christianity. They go together very well in fact.

  • @Katmido302

yes you are perfectly wright the buddhist philosophy is great , christianity is also very god but it has some minor problems and contradictions , it is very simple , by my belief all is simple ... we are all the same actually everything has the same essence ...

  • i highly reccomend his book, The Tibetan Book Of Living And Dying.

  • what gets me about some of the teachings on mind is the minute you hear them you know they are true. i can't really think of any other teachings on mind (other than buddhist) for which that would be true.
