  • It takes character to show compassion towards the demise of a man, who's fundamental beliefs are essentially, absolute antonyms to yours.

    Good man.

  • @Incognitoification1 Thanks. People who exhibit intellectual honesty, even when in total opposition to one's views, are to be treasured above all else.

  • How many Lies do you think you have told in your life? Have you ever stolen anything, even something small? Have you ever looked at a person with lust? Ever used GOD's name as a curse word? If so, GOD sees you as a Lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart. The Guilty will end up in Hell. That's not GOD's will. You broke GOD's laws, but Jesus paid your fine! (IF) you Repent, and trust in Christ alone, GOD will forgive every sin you have ever committed, and grant you Eternal life!

  • @EXALTEDDIRT What a lovely message! (NOT). If that's an example of God's 'love' then send me straight to hell.

  • @raoul116 It's not the healthy that need a doctor but the sick! Unless you are convinced of the disease, you will never seek the cure! Pride blinds your mind to the truth! It makes a drunk think that he can take on 20 large men in a bar fight! It makes you think you are righteous when you are not! It is what got Satan expelled from heaven! Pride proceeds the fall. Unless you humble yourself, admit your sins and Repent of them you will perish in eternal torment forever before a Just and Holy GOD

  • @EXALTEDDIRT hey, FUCK OFF. Seriously. FUCK. OFF.

  • @TheBurmanUnicorn Hey, ditto, seriously, ditto.. LOL

I couldn't have put it any better but with bible thumping fundies you really are wasting your breath and time.

  • @EXALTEDDIRT Quoting Ray Comfort is not a good way to make a point.

  • Savage neocon baby killing chickenhawk. There was nothing rational or even coherent in this drunkard sodomite's life.

Sir by taking pleasure in the false doctrines of this inhuman monster you are negating the gospel and commending this wicked man to others.

Hitchens left a trail of wives and children behind him he betrayed treacherously and abandoned, for this one it is better he was never born or had a millstone tied to his neck and be thrown into the sea.

  • @MrTexasArcane Well pilgrim - fuck you, fuck your illiterate state (Texas has one of the highest high school drop out rates in the US), and fuck your twisted version of the gospel which, I might add, I'll be talking about in the near future. It will make you crap in your panties.

  • @raoul116 maybe you need to back to school and broaden your vocabulary!!!!

  • @MrRebman62 'need to back to school'?? And YOU have the gall to tell me to broaden my vocabulary? Yeah, as soon as you broaden your English writing skills.. ROFL

  • @MrTexasArcane

You're surly not 4 real? ha ha

Religious folks prefer to murder their children (à la Abraham) rather than 'abandon' them which, of course Hitchens never did. Hitch said this: "My children ARE my life." and to paraphrase: 'If any god asked me to kill them I'd tell him to #**~*^^!!!'

  • Thank you for this. It's nice to see that Hitch was appreciated by theists.

  • @Jeffholdsworth Thanks.

  • My friend, that was honest and well thought out. I hope his common sense and relevance's rub off. I, on the other hand am overjoyed to see him as nothing but relevant. Had he spoke so eloquently of theism I might have considered following suit, but highly unlikely. He spoke rationally for the rational and an irritant to the opposition. Those theists who speak well of him must doubt their faith so again, Hitch lives on in his writings. Cheers Hitch.

  • @Godtardism 2 things:

    1. If he'd spoke better of theism you might do likewise? I guess thinking for yourself isn't applicable in your case? and

    2. Speaking well of him means theists, such as myself, 'doubt our faith'? Sorry but I don't have 'faith' per se. I have a firm belief system based on empirical nuances along with extensive philosophical and yes, even scientific arguments supporting an Inteligence involved in the universe. But thanks for replying and happy holidays.

  • @raoul116 How can that be classified as not thinking for myself.

Yes a true Godtard. Trying to relabel atheists what they have been accused in an attempt to validate their mental illness, and what "nuances" and "scientific" arguments are you speaking of that validate your irrational, improbable, childish claim? Although even a child would question it. I know I did in Sunday School at age 8 but was threatened with a whipping to believe or else.

  • @Godtardism ha ha - wishful thinking.

  • thank you sir. this was wonderful to hear

  • @Taiternator You're very welcome. It was an honor to say what had to be said about such a profound person.

  • Wow I just found out he died, like 5 secs ago.

  • Hitchens had intellect, empathy, knowledge and wisdom, no soul.

You're thinking with your emotional circuits again.

No gods. No ghosts. No heaven. No hell.

    Religion comforts...and cripples.

    youtube.com/watch?v=a15KgyXBX24

  • @lancethrustworthy Oh? So you're an expert on who has a soul and who hasn't? Plus, you seem to be an expert on me - emotional circuits? What is that? If it is a human trait then I plead guilty. Yeah, religion comforts - the mindless sheep who beg to be led rather than think for themselves.

  • @raoul116 .the soul is just another idea, there is no clear indicationt that we have one or not.

  • nice words, great sentiment, would be good to hear from more people like you encouraging rational thought and debate rather than the trolling and flaming that has been so evident around CH's death. Google "25 twitter #godisnotgreat" if you need any proof of this. thank you sir. :)

  • @richardellipsis I don't think I'll go there (twitter) because they drive me totally crazy with their know it all, self righteous behavior. Thanks anyway.

  • Nice video. Moving words. Thanks

  • @jasonakeane You're welcome!

  • yep, all we need is intellectual honesty and freedom, and Hitchens was a great spokesman for this.

  • @lunadogwoof 'Intellectual honesty' to a religionist is like garlic is to a vampire. Thanks.

  • @raoul116 nice one! pity we can't wear a bunch of intellectual honesty around our necks, to scare them off! seeya.

  • I wish more Christians were like you

  • @PepperNinja0069 thanks but I don't think I'm a shining example of Christianity. In fact I've just gone through another one of those 'dark days of the soul' as I call them but happily I'm out of it.

  • @raoul116 While I am firmly in the Hitchens camp when it comes to belief, I appreciated your kind and honest remarks regarding his life. He certainly deserved no less. I think what theists disliked most about Hitch was his intellect and command of facts. As you pointed out, he was respectful to his opponents, if not their opinions. In my journey out of belief the first thing to go was organized religion. In that regard, we are in agreement. Now, if you could just let go of that last god...

  • @bensil34 Can't do it, sorry. (let go of that last you know what). It's a very personal thing for me as it also is with my wife but we don't go around waving the banner. And my belief system began with my extensive studies in Philosophy, Astronomy, et. al.

  • What most Christians who condemn Atheists can't see is that they aren't necessarily denying the existence of a God. Just denying the hateful, spiteful, vindictive SOB their religion makes him out to be. Religions have distorted and perverted things to serve themselves for centuries and mankind has suffered as a result. It makes me sick to think of how many innocent people have died so that this blight on humanity could be perpetuated.

  • @MAG315 How true! I've never met a non-theist who really denied the 'possiblity' of an intelligence behind the cosmos but everyone one, without exception. objected to religion as I do and I have NO problems with their objections - none.

  • This video was an inspiration to watch. I am an atheist but I respect the beliefs of others. It isn’t individual religious beliefs that turned me from religion but the totalitarian indoctrination by the religious establishment. I like the way you have an open mind unlike many believers. Those people take every criticism of religion as a personal attack as if there were a god he would need their help to defend himself. Thank you for your video.

  • @bobmedic3214 You're quite welcome and thanks for your comments.

  • Here, Here! May he rest in peace and his thoughts inspire generations to come.

  • @jensjam I'm sure his work, especially in the area of foreign affairs and human concerns, will continue.

  • The World needs more Christians like you and more atheists like Hitchens!

  • @cutthroooat That simple yet profound comment leaves me speechless! Thank you very much and I'll share this with my wife after work.

  • Cool video, mate. It's nice to see a person who, while disagreeing on many of Hitchens' points, could nevertheless appreciate a great mind when he sees one. As an atheist who enjoys debating, it's always nice to run into people like you who -- Civil people who put thought into their own arguments and acknowledge good points by the 'opposition'.

Christians such as yourself aren't the ones that drove me away from religion. May you have a splendid weekend, sir.

  • @cutthroooat You too (good weekend) and I'm not surprised over what drove you away - the same things that have pulled at me for the past 25 or so years starting with the clergy.

    later..

  • You, sir, are a noble man. I wish more people, both theists and atheists, can be more open minded and open to honest discussion the way you obviously are. Hitch will be missed by us all, and I thank you for this wonderful tribute.

  • @ChienStrap1H Thanks. There are people from the right wing religionist ranks who would object to you calling me 'noble' but I will graciously accept your compliment anyway.

  • I wonder if he would come to a place resembling my "Entry to heaven" story....

  • @bohemianwriter1 I still laugh when I think about that story you wrote and I later read.

  • @raoul116

Someone from the Vatican, some Fundie megachurch, and some "scholar" from Mekka should read that story.

In fact, I put it in as a finishing story on my Belfast book...

  • As an atheist you've left me speechless. Thank you very much for this tribute to Hitch, and good luck to you and yours. End of the day, we're all people and have to try and get along, recognising the best in each other.

  • @jonno52 - thanks but you might be the very FIRST atheist I ever left speechless! LOL

Seriously, a lack of words was never something I could ever accuse the atheists I debated of. Probably why I admire them so much.
