  • Uh, My entire family liked gaming before the Wii ever came out. Dad liked golf simulators and things that made little sense, Mum like beat em ups and puzzle games. Grandfather liked platforming. Granny like anything that involved..beating the shit out of stuff.

  • Haha, I love that you dislike Halo but can appreciate RvB :D

  • i was born in 1994

  • the first change was way diferent it just added a new age group this one is adding in everyone meaning that gaming wiil no longer be the misterious thing it is now

  • my first 'hardcor'' was Goldeneye 64

2nd best game i ever played at the time

then i got Metal Gear Solid 3

    i cried

so so so hard at the near end

if theres is something to cry with manly tears its MGS 3

  • I remember I first got into gaming "hard" with the original Playstation. My dad liked car simulators and the time and my mom got him a PS1 so he could play Gran Turismo. Eventually, I got to pick out my own games for the PS and grew up with Spyro and Crash Bandicoot on the big screen while also playing Pokemon Red on the Game Boy Color.

  • It's a good thing I am a daywalker half nerd

  • 9:00 - 3 years latter this is still so much true.

  • Was that first part supposed to be gibberish? Was that supposed to be a random string of words leading up to the "right? right."? Yes? Kay.

  • When you were leading up to the veteran bit, I was thinking "cuz they DID THAT ALREADY", and then you said EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING.

  • I don't I even knew what a video game WAS until my brother (my YOUNGER brother, to my eternal shame) got a gamecube and Super Mario Sunshine. (this is probably because my Dad thinks video games are a waste of space, which I can forgive, if not his willful ignorance on the subject)

  • I'm 18 now and I started gaming back in 2000. You bet your ass my kids are gonna be playing some games. :)

  • I hope the next gen systems don't improve more in grafics or soon we will play real life on our TV and the sense of entertainment will fail.

  • Yes true Bob that old guy including my granddad beat the Nazi's and sacrificed their youth and MANY friends in the process so WE wouldn't have too.

  • 9:25 to 9:40 - I was laughing so hard I had to pause the video. Laughing because you're DEAD FUCKING RIGHT!

  • 9:18

    Free epic moment button

  • Bob, you realize that, for me, you are my refuge from a nerd-hating society.

  • rofl @ waddle-do for legion of evil

  • This video is made of AWESOME!!

  • All the geek niches try to expand and I hate it. Look at manga and TokyoPop trying to Americanize it. Their failing was to my relief. Now if only the hardcore/fps market would just die...

  • @Neutral1

Wishing that gamers unlike you would disappear is not solving the problem. The gaming industry should be diverse, it's a good thing. That there is a huge fanbase for FPS games is not the problem, the problem is that the genre is SO overexposed and SO overrated, and it attracts the most closedminded, idiotic people who have no respect for diversity or even the games and franchises (like Mario) that this industry owes it's existence to, because they're "outdated" or "kid's stuff".

  • TOTALLY AGREE. But you know why that is though right? It's because it's a fucking booming business. Don't get me wrong, i like to support gaming BUT when it's lucrative, America ALWAYS tries to expand the market

  • grandpa isn't interested in killing 2,000 nazi bastards because HE ALREADY DID IT 80 YEARS AGO

  • Remember mid 80s and the NES? Same sht xD

  • Well said, and a great ending.

Is it bad though that every time someone mentions the Dreamcast's last stand or puts up a memorial on the screen saying Sega will never be forgotten or anything along those lines, I actually well up and feel a lump in my throat. I miss Sega, they where my childhood, from 1991-2004 I was a Sega gamer, and I owned them all from Master System to Dreamcast, yes even the 32X. 13 years, it's my longest relationship to date... and my first true love (yes, I'm this sad).

  • @TornadoCreator

No, it's not sad. I was more of a Nintendo kid, but my brother had a Genesis and I got a Dreamcast (which, unfortunately, I didn't really use for anything other than Sonic), so I had pleanty of exposure to Sega, and I always have a similar reaction to the "Never Forget" pictures.

  • That actually happened though.

  • I love your video series man i just started watching and hell yeah video games are the shit

  • Born in 1993, had a NES and later a SNES... never got the PS1 (although all my friends did) and got a PS2 2 or 3 years after release. I know EXACTLY what you're talking about, most of these (current gen) games suck. Sadly I don't have a Wii, but I have some good games on my PS3.

It's so depressing how re-hashed games, such as Call of Duty are so popular, overshadowing many new, creative and original games.

  • @Scapegoat24

It was the same rehashed shit during the cartrige n cassete days

  • "You know who already did that shit? THAT FUCKING GUY!" I was already thinking that before ever watching this video. :)

  • before creation theres always destruction

  • xD I always found the concept of the modern "hardcore gamer" bullshit pretty funny. It's an INDUSTRY, for ENTERTAINMENT, after-all. I actually rather LIKE that people I'm not used to can enjoy the same system I do, it means when a good gamey game is actually created for the Wii (like MH3 or a Pokemon game), it means I don't have to worry about the franchise going down anytime soon, because many people who normally wouldn't before are going to give it a shot, and thus pay for new development

  • I was born in 1994, and i am happy i got the last few moments of classic games because of my brother. I had the Dream Cast (awesome system). Super Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64 (no duh) was and always will be one of my most favorite games. All those games back then make me who i am today. I'm learning how to be a video game developer and already have a small team. I'm going to try my best to make my way into the video game industry battle and bring back the old feel of games. I won't back down.

  • haha wii won ^^, look at move and kinetic ( sorry dont no the name )

  • RED VS BLUE FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I played video games since i was like 6, playing SNES and stuff, i was and im still a nerd :B

nowadays some of my non gamer friends were starting to play video games, moslty sport games, like soccer or footbal, and were like "ow, i pwn at video games, i know everything, im a god"

    i was disapoint

but this video is a light at the end of the tunnel!!!

  • Well let's face it. Video games in the last twenty years went from being a small subculture to just another form of entertainment, like movies and books. It's a huge industry now. That's not going to go unnoticed by the whole public, and it hasn't.

  • THANK YOU MOVIEBOB.

  • You know what i hate? The "hardcore gamers" who are talking about their new halos, or gears of whatever, or their metals of duty & call of honors, and then i they tease me by insulting me for playing mario or zelda, because they think it's for kids or something stupid like that. Even today when we are all gamers, they still can tease me for being a gamer? I try to retort by insulting their games, only to have them say whatever the hell they like is the best game ever. And they never say Mario 3.

  • I know wich is the gaming device wich will destroy the gaming industry as we know it: IT'S NAME IS KINECT

  • @theone3482

nah. At the absolute worst, it will be a big enough financial disaster to take Microsoft out of the gaming race, and I doubt it will be a big enough flop to cause something even that extreme.

  • Good, I like that gaming is becoming for everyone. Besides has the world becomes more and more technology based nerds will die out. Because they wont be liked at has nerds or freaks anymore. Yep I'm a day dreaming Star Trek fan. Oh well...(DS9 FTW!!)

  • mega man saving peach from king dedede may be the best idea for a game evar

  • r.e.m ftw nice intro

  • Yeah, I was there and remember. It was back in 1993 before the Superhighway Summit and I was sitting at home clicking on hyperlinks in Mosaic. The US Gov. started allowing commercial ISP's to link in a few years earlier. The Superhighway Summit was for publicity and broadcast live on cable. If you want to say it was important for spreading the word fine, I won't argue. But to claim the Internet wouldn't exist without it is like saying there would be no RPG's without FFVII.

  • What the crap was up with the opening?

  • That bit about the possible WWII veteran is one of the best things since the invention of pie.

  • @RealKingKane That part made me laugh so hard.

  • Oh no! Gaming is maturing! Gaming is changing!

Seriously though, TGO is only bashing the stereotypical "new gamers". Today's gaming is much better than the old days because now they're actually putting story and characters into the games, rather than the same "rescue the world bullshit" that was going on before all the time. Many of the games today are of course Halo ripoffs, and considering that Halo was shit then that's pretty bad. But just look at Shadow of the colossus. It's incredible.

  • Great points, especially the ending.

  • ..Ummm Grandpa kinda scares me now. So I think I'll open the gaming door for the man .

  • To all the people making fun of old people playing video games, in addition to the point made in this vid, consider this: these old people are probably good enough at whatever game they choose to utterly destroy you. Same concept as the "noob pwners" in games like COD, different game. Same thing goes with soccer moms too.

Anyhoo. Spot on video! I grew up during that age of "darkness" then got made fun of for being one of the so called saps who stuck with the N64. This vid was beautiful.

  • 9:00 onwards... Epic point simply epic. Really put some people in their place and was a general reminder to respect your elders

  • Yeah. I lived through that experience, though my reactions might've been a bit different. While the Playstation did indeed come out and managed to help Sony dethrone Nintendo, I never thought that it would've been the end of the world. In fact, I welcomed the new Playstation games while still being a fan of the Nintendo 64's games. (I probably wouldn't have gotten into rts games if it wasn't for that demo of Warzone 2100 that I played on the PS version of Gex: Deep Cover Gecko.)

  • Of course, I never foresaw Sega's withdrawal from the console race, though when I look at it, the Sega Genesis pioneered the "mature" trend that we experience today (with games like Mortal Kombat). (What's far more depressing for me is that Sonic, Sega's mascot, seems to be on hard times nowadays.)

  • However, just like I welcomed the new innovations that the Playstation provided while still being a Nintendo fan, checking out Nintendo games like Super Mario 64 while also trying out Playstation games like Syphon Filter and Crash Bandicoot, I'm welcoming Nintendo Wii's new innovations while still checking out games for other systems, like the PS3 game LittleBigPlanet, or the PC game Doom 3.

  • dude is this your job?....you have to be a journalist for a video game magazine. I WILL NOT ACCEPT that your doing this for us and critiquing without any benefit cuz this is genius. AND AGAIN KUDOS to the god damn madden franchise coming out with the same game every fuuuuckin year, and im black im suppose to love those games! **sarcastic racism**

  • The line: "i remember the last time the world ended" was really powerful and touching

  • Well said i agree 100%. And the desert does suck as much as you imagine. Did you know America's Army is a trianing/recruiting tool? Wrote with my iphone sorry about grammar.

  • im not sure where i stand in gaming culture. i know quite a bit about gaming, mostly gaming in the 90s, but i dont own a single console, and i dont plan to get one anytime soon

  • I agree with your general premise and will add in that once upon a time I was one of those "casual gamers," who fell in love with the medium and took up increasingly complex games. To this end I think anything that gets more people playing video games is a great thing, as a larger market will me more converts like myself and more titles to choose from.

  • more the better, these "noobs" might come to some of our games too.

  • Cause Satan like Wii to LOL!

  • While I don't care about hardcore/casual notions... there has been one causality of "casual gamers".

    Demon's Souls.

A game that was famous and even popular for its difficulty but will probably not be released in Europe because thats the largest "casual gamer" market...

...luckily the PS3 isn't region locked but thats gotta piss some people off.

  • Another awesome vid.

    TVs Frank = win, massively.

  • ending had me laughing...omg so amazingly true

  • Your best episode. The end was great. ^^

  • but O.J. was judged as innocent in a jury of his peers!

    ...you guuuuuuuuys!

I remember that time... and I remember not understanding what all the fuss was about. "Next gen" didn't mean anything to me untill I saw Mario 64, and in '94 I was obsessed with Primal Rage and Mortal Kombat, both of which eventually went on SNES.

So the playstation was perpetually off the radar for me, until I found out about warpath.

  • 9:10-9:30

AMEN! I was thinking the same thing.

Listen you little bastards why don't you leave our elderly alone. Do you release how refreshing it is to see my Grandma, who still can't work a DVD player, challenge me to a game of Wii Bowling every time I come home from College?

You better start focusing your dumbsh*t comments onto Hilary Clinton, Joe Lieberman, and the ignorant side of the media that bash video games.

Be honest what the hell has XBOX or PS3 done to help the cause lately???

  • what was the name of the music in the beginning?

  • I always think that 'hardcore and casual' are ways that one can play a game rather than describing the games themselves.

For example, my Mum plays Art Style: Picopict on my DSi in a very hardcore fashion, as in she will continue to play for hours in a weekend just to beat her old highscore.

  • what was the phantom add on?

  • @Zeroonmus Possibly the 64DD?

  • I've just started watching your videos, and you really make a lot of sense. I'm glad to see someone who "gets it". I'm sick of this whole "casual vs. hardcore" bull. People are fighting a war that doesn't need to be fought. Hell, I think it's cool to see old people playing videogames! Instead of fighting the casuals, we should be embracing them, and show them the worlds we once knew.

  • I'm hardcore but I'm not like hardcore gamers that ignore games if they aren't violent like I extensively play pokemon, mario, Littlebigplanet in a hardcore way and I don't really play shooters or many other stereotypically hard care games like an fps granted I do like action games like UnchartedInfamous and MAG and go trophy hunting

  • That's so true, I'm a gamer (maybe hardcore but not casual) and I hate those "hardcore gamers" just because they can "kick your ass" in HALO (which is THE MOST OVERRATED franchise, next the latest COD games)... If you think you are a "HARDCORE GAMER" just because you beat HALO and can kills 20/2 in it. DO THIS... GET GHOST N' GOBLINS and BEAT IT! Chances are that you won't do it because that game needs (read this) it actually need SKILLS and DETERMINATION not LUCK and a Sensitivity setting!!!

  • Bra-vo, man! My dad probably wouldn't have play COD: Korea because he lived it. To think that the new set of "casual gamers" would want to replay an event that they lived through is ridiculous.

  • fav

  • I pretty much don't like casuals for the same reason I don't like facebook, myspace and other social networking. Too many people trying to get into an in-joke culture and ruining the jokes. I'll just look at 4chan and call it a day. It use to be the "Thats terrible but shit its funny" kind of thing. Not its just straight terrible, not even in a "Politically incorrect" kind of way.

Too many normal people or hipsters trying to be part of a community that mocks them and ruining it.

  • You've missed the point then. You want an exclusive community but for the gaming industry to survive it always must become as inclusive as possible. You can blame Nolan Bushnell & Ralph Baer for that. They took it from the MIT mainframes & into the bars & living rooms of the world. Bring on the "normal" people, I say. (By the way, there's really no such thing as normal people. Everybody's peculiar somewhere or another)

  • @johnlucas1

Okay there are normal people don't BS yourself. Talk to any sociologist, any person that follows norms of a culture is "normal".

Also: I don't hate older players or anything. What I hate is when people come into a discussion telling us the best games when they lack the experience to really compare games. I don't care if its their favorite. Any hardcore gamer loves a game everyone else hates. Its like when someone who thinks twilight is the best book ever tries discussing books.

  • @ShykinArcana: I disagree with that. In that sense, then everybody's normal because everybody follows some part of a culture no matter how much they stand against it. At the same time nobody's normal because every person deviates from the norms somewhere or another. The term is there to keep order for fear of the reality of humanity. That's why people who always try to be "normal" always feel restricted. There are common behaviors measured in aftermath as normal but really everyone's weird.

  • @johnlucas1 Its basic sociology. Everyone is normal based on their culture and based on someone else's culture they are weird. Yes everyone deviates from their own norms occasionally this is called deviance and there are varying degrees of deviance. Norms can be used for social control and in reality everyone is technically weird. You're disagreeing but what you state agrees.

  • sociology is B.S., not science.

  • Herp durp I'm an angsty teenager. Its a science but its a 'Well duh" science. Common sense rules in sociology.

  • Exactly. As opposed to Empirical, Measurable, and observable evidence.

  • @papabungle Common sense doesn't make it not a science. It can be observed and measured but its just massively difficult. Astronomy is similar because even scale experiments are nearly impossible. For the most part sociology is pretty fucking strict about their research codes in order to have quality information.

  • @johnlucas1 Normal simply means common doesn't it, when something else is more common, it becomes the new normal.

  • its argameddon

  • if the matrix mainly the operators didn't exist the online gaming wouldn't exist

  • Ironically what you said near the beginning "They don't even check the ratings on GameSpot, they just go with what they think is fun" is exactly how I ended up with Ninjabread Man as a birthday present from my mom.

  • @Rubberman202 Ninjabread kicks so much ass

  • @AssultMovies12: Bull-****ing-shit. You obviously don't have a Wii.

  • I'd love to see some new IPs for all the kids to get into. My younger sisters has a DS of her own but I cant think of any new Nintendo icons of her generation, Staffy would be a good candidate if they ever bloody localised him...

  • This chick cut a guy's dick off?

Can you tell me about that?

I have no idea what that's about, I was born in 1995 :D

  • such a baby. You are not like us 94's.^^

  • Well, your mother!

  • Yes my mother is a fine lady.

  • @frididjurhuus im not to shure but i belive there was a movie out at that time with a plot based around that im not to shure thou

  • I don't think I understand.

  • I'm a mild fan of moviebob, my only problem is he assumes his audience to be the 'hardcore' gamers he despises, instead of actually NOT retarded gamers... oh well. can't argue the he doesn't make good points

  • say*

you can't SAY that he doesn't make good points, just clarifying

  • so its just the cycle of gaming and I dont think "hardcore" gaming is gonna end its just 1/3 consoles that goes that direction so "hardcore" douche bags shouldnt complain I gues

  • little kids 0:57 have ALWAYS played games :) dreamcast was glorious... rip. love what he had to say about ww2 and geriatrics. old ppl deserve to have modern fun too

  • There were police doing a drug bust a while ago, and a couple of the policeman stopped raiding the dude's house to play wii sports bowling and it was recorded on a tape xD

  • I saw that and that was a way to kill your bust too.

  • Yeah, that conclusion was perfect and awesome!

  • 8:58- conclusion....

    another epic......

  • I rather posetive to the fact that the Wii is introducing the main-stream to video gaming, that's not the resone my Wii has not been turned on for 6 months. I'm just not playing it becuse I cant find any games which i am willing to spend 50€ on over what the Xbox360 and Ps3 is offering.

  • I agree with this one. I can't stand all of the assholes who think they're gamers just because they play Madden or some crap.

  • Your a fan of red vs blue?

  • Is that the segata sanshiro theme playing in the background of the intro?

  • Apocalypse does mean "Revelation" after all.

  • Who are the "cool kids"?

  • Well spoken moviebob. I especially liked your point about old people. It was both true and the way it was put was funny.

  • 1) 3:40- Ive been there!!! That's FunSpot in Jefferson NH!!! That place is still there n open! You can play Pong Doubles!!!

    2) I...love...you man...(no homo)

  • FYI, Funspot is ALSO the "official" North American Arcade Museum AND the place where a ton of the pro-gaming record runs are done. Every gamer should go there, they have TONS of classic arcade games - some of them incredibly rare - in great condition, plus also bowling and go-karts and it's a great part of NH.

  • it wasnt too late for sega. you know why the dreamcast failed? bernie stolar. go google him or watch tsukento's top 10 sega mistakes, youtubes' comment limit wont be able to contain it.

  • I just did. I think this is probably my least favorite human being of the world now.

  • yes, it ruined sega & made sparkles cry T.T

  • The problem with these casuals is that the Wii now lacks enough for the hardcore to feast on. I'm a Wii owner and I'm bored with lack of games. I want a PS3 now. My PS2 is too knackered to play most pre-used games, and new PS2 game production has pretty much stopped.

  • Too true, Bustersword. It's not so much that Nintendo's catering to the casuals as that they're largely ignoring the existing, more "hardcore" fanbase. There are only a handful of games for the Wii that aren't either a licensed movie adaptation (which are, 99% of the time, crap) or centered around a gimmicky hook designed explicitly to appeal to the casual crowd. There's very little to appeal to the regular gamer.

Though to be fair, what little there is happens to be pretty freaking awesome.

  • The main problem is that the 3rd Party developers are lazy as hell and don't try. Oh and that the consumers don't support the Wii whenever some overly violent thing that they whine about the Wii not having comes around.

  • @ the third party dev comment: Exactly. It's not nintendo that abondoned us, it's the third party devs that did, along with their publishers. They see that the Wii is popular for casual games, and are afraid to try anything different for fear of losing profits.

Like, you know the guys who made Dementium? They had a kickass Castlevania-esque game coming for the wii...BUT NO ONE WANTED TO PUBLISH IT because it was "too hardcore" and wouldn't sell well, in their opinion.

  • Ever hear of a game called "Winter"? Same thing no one wanted to publish it.

Meannwhile studios get closed if a game made for the other companies doesn't do so hot.

  • That....was....perfect !

  • Was that intro sequence supposed to be Game Overthinker's take on Rorschach? I know he (as MovieBob) is a MASSIVE fan of Watchmen, although it sounds a bit different from the version of the 'Rorschach voice' he used at the beginning of his Watchmen review. It still reminds me of that though.

  • thats rite gamers, old people POWN!!!!

  • A fan of Yahtzee?

  • I thought I was the only one that thought about SEGA like that, good to see that I'm not.

  • I appreciate the respect to the elderly that don't play War Games, considering the fact that they were THERE.

  • holy shit theres a pic of funspot i love that place

  • I have to say, Geeks STILL aren't accepted in society. Maybe its different in America, but geeks are still social outcasts in the UK.

  • Yeh, tell me about it.

  • its the same

  • Geeks are still social outcasts here too, but at least now we can get paid very well and are appreciated for our knowledge.

After all, we're the guys who fix everyone else's computer. lol

  • And charge exorbitantly large prices too. Knowledge is power!

  • You serious? Please tell me, an inquiring American wants to know.

  • Yeah; its abit hypocritical of them these days. Alot of them play games on the phones and wii, but anything more than that and its "Oh, geek/nerd, what a loser"

  • you fucking rock man, srsly i loled at the jhon wayne/hank comment.

  • the wiimote bothers me, its kinda hard to get working at times, but my 1 and 1 alone prolbem for the wii is that i mostly play my old nintendo games on it, they need to release a good game, after the inital wii sports, i havnt seen that much *cept smash brawl, cause god knows that mario and kirby together cannot fail*

  • HE ALREADY ACTUALLY DID THAT SHIT!

  • "They're pretending to be THAT FUCKING GUY!!"

  • Booya

  • "You see... I remember the last time the world ended."

  • LOL, Jeff Gersten was the biggest joke ever. He gave Halo 3 a high rating, & welcomed "little change," whereas Twilight Princess' reuse of Ocarina of Time (aka the highest-rated video game of all-time)'s perfect system-with masterful motion-sensory based controls was called "old." LMAO.

LOL at the old guy comment.

This was an exception video. You sir, win.

  • Mostly because trying to hold a conversation with an idiot who doesn't understand is very hard.

  • Seriously? And I was just looking through the comments, checking what fanboy idiots would be saying.

See they still haven't fixed the grammar problem of current fanboys.

As for me being a 'Wii baby' with an unnecessary 'b'... I don't much like my Wii. In fact, I don't play it at all. But that mainly has to do with the fact that I'm a console gamer.

'Scuse me, when was the last time you ever heard of a successful adventure game title that was good?

When was the last time you played an RTS?

  • Because I don't tolerate fanboys who think they're hardcore. Play something ACTUALLY challenging, jeez.

  • better comment on this before you bash my grammar. I tried my best to abreviate my comment using some internet slang in order to fit it into the small text window that youtube provides. Just to let you know.

  • Uhm... 'scuse me... when was the last time you heard of an adventure game that was successful?

  • I don't Know, but Grim Fandango is an awesome game. THough you will need a patch for it if you have Windows Vista.

  • Fanboy fail.

  • I think I was calling you an Xbox fanboy. Sorry for not knowing, but I was scrolling through. If you're not, I'm sorry. It may have been directed at someone else.

  • Xbox sucks 360 on the other hand is awesome! Ps3 is just as good but more exclusives could help each platform. Wiis Klonoa was the best game I played in a long time for the platform but that probably becuz it was GC control compatible

Fanboy comments are weird because you'd expect them to aply to a certain company no matter what the generation is. would I be a nintendo fanboy since I loved all of their previous hardware until the wii? Does it make me a 360 fanboy jus cuz I dont like the wii

  • Ironic. Seeing as both you and commenter below you probably don't even like the same games or agree with ZP's reviews. AVGN tends to scream and... well, do nothing with his reviews. I'd find it funny if I were... twelve. That being said, his movie reviews are good.

  • i still don't like the fact that jocks are into gaming, however at least they don't play the games most nerds play like Mario, Kirby, Sonic, Final Fantasy, kingdom Hearts, Mega Man, Street Fighter all the classics, nope they are off playing those stupid Madden games (yes i did just call those games stupid)

  • smash brothers is awesome!!!

  • virtual console is something you cannot ignore for the wii, the one reason to consider it, along with the 10 good games for it.

  • well say what you want bout the wii , its still in a leage of its own in sales

  • Considering the introduction of Project Natal and PS3's wand controller, as well as Wii's consistently high hardware adn software sales, I'd say Wii is the future.

  • If you don't like the console it doesn't mean it sucks. You don't have to have a billion GB of memory or HD graphics. Have you ever played Mega Man on the NES? It's one of the best games on the console (some might say on any console) and it has 8-bit graphics and uses

    *drumroll*

1 Megabit of memory. Yeah really. Just go play that game or any mega man game on the NES. You'll find it challenging and awesome. You can't call yourself a gamer if you haven't played 8- or 16 bit games.

  • I may not be a Wii fan, but fanboys are idiots. Plus, everyone knows the PC will kick your ass ;p I kid, I kid. Well, it'll still kick your ass, but, I digress. The Wii is gimmicky and it's a little kiddish, but... it has a lot of diversion from the usual grimy, dark, colorless, bland, basic FPS that rips off a mediocre FPS to begin with... like Halo.

  • "There is a diabolical twist to Star Wars fandom, you see, that defies comprehension, and yet is the life-blood of all Star Wars fans. It is this: Star Wars fans hate Star Wars. If you run into somebody who tells you they thought the franchise was quite enjoyable, and they very-much liked the originals as well as the prequels, and even own everything on DVD, and a few of the books,
