  • what the fuck are you shootin at

  • Try FLIPPING your wrist in the direction of the plane and you might be able to "STOP" the action with the camera.

  • dude wtf i can't see it :(

  • @kenpoiss14 dude, click on the annotation link at the start of the vid, to see the newer 468mph record and see if you can see it there.

  • Put some smoke on the glider. That or put the camera on the glider.

  • to low camara! not the best camera Work (sometime you see the plane in the left upper corner, if you paused the video at the right time.) congrats to the record! hope perhaps in somedays someone brake the soundbarriere, that would be gr8.

  • nice view of the landscape.... with an occasional swoosh sound

  • first of all how in the world can you control it . and 2 how do you get it up to that speed? and 3 how do you stop it? lol

  • The "g" forces must be off the chart. I wonder if a wingsuited skydiver could soar dynamically in a jetstream. May be more maneuvering room so he wouldn't have to pull these kinds of g's & it could make for some impressive nonvehicular speed over distance achievements. All my jumping was when wingsuits were illegal, so I'm not sure what a wingsuit's energy retention is-no doubt necessary for dynamic soaring to work. Ram air may be a speed killer, but high altitude air may help it take its time.

  • @niflap G-loading at these speeds and circuit diameter average 50-60Gs, and on a really hard pull have

exceeded 90 G's. There are those who've claimed to DS in full scale sailplanes across a flat horizontal wind shear created by a hard inversion with some success. It's been attempted behind a ridge but quickly threatens the airframe integrity. DS planes generate a lot of lift efficiently at high angles of attack and high wing loading. A wing suit does not.

  • next time film the glider so we can watch it

  • a buffoni

  • it's invisible because it is flying on warp speed ;)

  • Congrats on the new record, keep up the great work and good luck on your future records :-)

  • @Skydive4ever The pilot of this plane has already gone faster. The new record

stands at 468mph. Search YouTube for "468mph" to see it. A tiny bit more visible

    in that video than mine.

  • @daemn42 Very cool, thanks :-)

  • @daemn42 How do they actually control it??? Must be hard to control a plane in a certain area at 400+ mph! :O

  • @mcmanus1806 No different than any sport that requires fast reflexes. Lots of practice and experience, building up the speed over years. It's also usually more about prediction than pure reaction.

  • at this rate you guys are going to break the sound barrier

  • @legion2 maybe but the sound barrier is like over 600 mph.

  • AWESOME!

  • if you stare at the grassy field you'll see somethin red go by super fast!!! like at 1:10

  • so fast, i can't even see a thing. :(

  • What the heck I watched 3/4 of this and just got sea sick from the cam rocking so much. I never seen anything flying, did I miss it during the vomit?

  • @Buckoutdoors Read the description and the comments. Nobody forced you to watch.

  • @daemn42

It is very hard to see if you don't know what to look for. It's also unreasonable to expect everybody to read the description before watching the video especially since the video starts automatically.

No need to be a dick about it.

  • Wow, that's pretty cool. How do you slow it down and land it?

  • @3dRookie To slow down, just stop circling the back of the ridge, fly out to the front, and make a few tight turns to bleed off speed. It takes a double 50+mph boost of airspeed (from the wind) to maintain 400+mph ground speeds.

  • Haha, this is crazy guys!! I'd love to see a video of one of those planes up close!! They must be super strong and light to hold up to all those G's! I just showed my dad this video, and he thought I was BS'ing him because he couldn't ever actually pick out the plane! xD! I had to show him another video of dynamic soaring, where they were going slightly slower, just so he'd believe the concept! :P

  • @Mtrhd0024 So show your dad one of my other DS videos like the "349mph - My new dynamic soaring PB" one I posted from the very same morning. Can see the plane in that one. Or "The Weldon Dynamic Soaring Experience" which is fun flying at 200+mph.

  • great job guys im still on the look out for a potential ds slope would love to reach those speeds:-)

  • where is it?

  • @kingpav Weldon CA

  • @daemn42 Unless you meant.. "Where is the plane?" in which case it's there. You can see it flash through the frame on the bottom turn (bottom left) if viewed at 1080p HD. It was quite dark so camera was struggling to see it.

  • @daemn42 yeah just managed to see a red/orange speck.

As of yet there are no videos on Youtube for a "how to" on dynamic soaring, yet people have been searching for a "how to" as it pops up in the suggestions. If you know how to do it which you guys clearly do, do the "how to dynamic soar" and you should get quite a few viewers.

  • Maybe, you would like your tiny camera fit your plane and test your plane will fly with cam, what happened ? like Superman's vision, I hope so, your plane 's wings will broke up. ???? oneday you need more stronger carbon sticks into your plane's wings.

  • you cant do that
