beautiful! Great work. I came across this while looking for ideas for my best friend. He is a woodworker and I'm sure he'll be excited to see your creations. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
i have a wooden gear and am trying to fit in a electric motor to it, but the shaft is shaving the inside of the hole of the gear. [it's the one that has teeth] how can i adjust it or let it fit perfecting without damage into the gear? or can i replace the shaft?
Whole design. Anyway you have inspired a person "me", to work with wood. I am a welder. My life revolves around steel. I've been inspired by you and Adrian to try something different. I will post my progress of acomplisshments as for as woodworking

Aloha Photomanbill, to find the crystal Number Six clock, type "Clayton Boyer wooden clock plans" into Google. I should pop up. Then scroll down to the section showing the clock pix by builders of my plans, that is the Flicker link. The crystal Number Six is hidden in there somewhere. Happy hunting!

The roosters crowing that you can hear in almost all of my videos are just a natural part of living in rural Kauai. These chickens are all feral and were here as part of the landscape when I got here 20 years ago. The feral chicken population has exploded since the Humane Society took to catching the islands feral cats, which had been keeping the chickens at a reasonable level.
How interesting regarding the feral chickens. I once had a prized rooster escape our local fair one summmer and it made my backyard it's new home. Listening to that rooster everyday drove me crazy and I had to shoo it away.
Now, at any time, there are 10 to 20 hens and roosters wandering my sequestered hermitage which I have named Moalanikai. In Hawaiian that means Chicken Heaven by the Ocean. Like the ticking of all my clocks, I hardly hear the roosters anymore, unless I make a point of listening for them or unless Im trying to take a nap.
It is surprising how much quieter these clocks get over time, as you get used to it they blend into the background and you have to check now and again to see if they are still ticking.
you have the tools so there is no excuse! LOL I watched your vid on building a clock and went and bought these plans right after!! I dont even have all the tools I need yet but I will get them. I am so excited I cant wait for the plans to get here!
I liked making this clock, I liked the layout of the plans too, though with anything I had to study it out to see what went where. The video helped to see where the escapement connected with the escape wheel as this is crucial to getting a healthy tick tock.
how do i make this?

Great job. I'm working on making this design at the moment myself. Is there a rooster in your house or was that sound something else?
aa6757 2 years ago
I love the sound - would even like it if it was louder.

how can i elliminate the sound, or just decrease it much as possible?

Nice clean design. I love the look of the dark wood against the white wheels. I need to find an excuse to make this clock.
