  • lol

  • how did you get 5 flashes

  • @legokidish Of what?

  • he look more lighter blue in this one the generations is it cuz hes younger

  • @ArawnChernobog do you have Sonic Generations?

  • A shorcut, so you dont get late to the doctor... Nah...

  • i know a glitch in this hub! when you are in day and you pause While on a rail, sonic will stop on the Rail!

  • in this game i stop in chun nangXD

  • In the old video of Spagonia before SU was released, this rail was supposed to circle the entire hub world. Makes you wonder why they split it into two different rails.

  • if u want to boost in the hub world in spangonia go to the fountain with the statue as u can see there are some stairs jump towards the stairs and then stomp but hold the B button and move the control stick and sonic will start drifting since the ring energy gauge isn't there the boost will run out just like in a day stage keep drifting till u think u got enough boost but u can only do an air boost but the air boost doesn't take u that far like in a day stage.

  • Well, I think the homing attack is kind of there so Sonic's still faster than the Werehog. =P

Try doing a homing attack, and while doing so, hold the B button and a direction. He'll stomp down and drift without speed limit. If you can control it till ya bump into something, that is.

  • So by stomping and holding down B while doing a Homing Attack, he'll slide around?

  • Well, usually ya can only drift while being fast enough, right? If ya do a homing attack, and quickly a stomp, ya'll keep the thok speed, allowing you to quickly drift. Just hold left/right AND B while doing a homing attack.

    Don't worry, I tested.

  • Oh! It's not ha ha funny. -_-

  • Nah. I shoudl change the title. It might be misleading to others.

  • Here´s another glitch. Get the Air Boost shoes, then go to a hub. Jump as high as you can and then make a homing attack, just when you touch the floor press B and go left at the same time. You will be able to drift and then you jump and press X. You will be able to execute the air boost!

  • Couldn't you always do this in the 3D games?

  • Not sure, really. The Homing Attack is kind of hard to control in the other games.

  • @Overhazard i dont think it went as far as in heroes, s2ab, and somewhat wii version

  • @Overhazard I remember Sonic Adventure 2 having more "realistic" grinding physics (correct me if I'm wrong, I've never played this game) and jump dashing (non-targeted homing attack) onto a rail going upwards made Sonic go faster. Also, bounce-attacking onto a rail going downwards made him go faster.

  • Well, all right then. I respect your opinion, as long as you respect mine.

Mario never had hubs to begin with either though. I was pretty disappointed in the Comet Observatory's plainness. I liked Delfino Plaza, since it was huge and full of people.

  • Yeah I have all sorts of fun with that rail, like playing 'balance beam' and jump up and down while still staying on the rail and of course what you just did.

I like hubs and storylines too but I understand why people don't particularly like em. This game was so so on trying to please everyone, yes lots of side quests but they weren't all neccessary but collecting all those medals was sometimes rather tedious.

  • A Sonic game would blast by very quick if it was nothing but running stage after running stage though. As much as I like the 16-bit games, it kind of annoys me that it's over within 30 minutes.

  • Indeed, sometimes I'm not sure what people are asking. Given they need to get rid of the silly gimmicks they keep coming up with and create something like SA2 with two seperate storylines again but not neccessarily good vs evil, perhaps two sides of good fighting against the same evil in different ways, like GUN and Sonic.

  • Well, what I was thinking, as far as hubs go, is to make the hubs entirely optional: You can finish the story mode by going from stage to stage, but you also have the option of going to hubs like these for bonus stuff. The World Map in the WIi version of Sonic Unleashed would be pretty similar to what I had in mind: You can go straight to a stage or you can visit a hub (though it's just another menu in that version).

The Sonic series seems to be highly experimental. The fandom, however, is not.

  • Aw, I love the hubs. I wanted them to return since Sonic Adventure 2 removed them.

  • You can walk around the cities in the 360/PS3 version? That's a whole lot different than the Wii/PS2 version.

And obviously the graphics of the 360/PS3 version look a whole lot better too, but it doesn't take a certified professor to know that, XD

  • This is kind of neat.

More irony: even though the Werehog is known for it's strength, the Homing Attack is often enough to defeate enemies in one or two hits.

The Werehog needs to do several combos on the same enemies to defeat them by comparison.

  • Yeah, which leads me to believe the Werehog's attacks are far weaker but has much greater defensive power. I mean, Sonic doesn't need Rings to withstand like 40 attacks from these guys.

  • Sonic rides the rails. Cool and funny too.

  • GameSpot gave this game a 3.5!

  • That was fast and funny. lol

You should try to press START button while grinding on a rail... XD

  • Nice, I never would`ve noticed that before. Great quality too. 5/5.

  • why are his shoes so big?

  • Because big shoes makes him run faster...?
