I was in C of $ for 30 years. The majority of people "in" will agree that Scientology would "NEVER DO THAT, AND THOSE PEOPLE SHOULD GO TO PRISON". It all sounds good but scientology truly doesn't deal with the real issue, and it's that you and I have and are sinning against a holy and rightous GOD and I stand condemed before him! Why are human beings always looking for someone or some organization to tell us who we are? We know who we are. We do not need to pay someone thousands of dollars to tell us the truth about ourselves.
You don't pay all that money for "someone" to tell you who you are. You're essentially paying for the tools which help you find yourself. You help yourself, no one else is gonna do it for you. Or, you can co-audit with another student and do it for free. That's what most Scientologists do.

I think he did a pretty good job speaking rather articulately in front of let's say...about a 100 people maybe? He was also being bombarded by the host, who's a complete spazz to say the least. The host was always talking over him and using the audience's applause to cover up whatever Heber had to say .
well from the way i saw it he was always talking over the host. Especially at the begining and always repeating himself a tatic of hypnosis. Instead of adding new points which he rarely did he just keeped repeating in different ways scientology is good. Trying to drum home that message.
They were doing their best to try and talk over each other. Don't be jealous Heber was better at it ;]
And obviously the points he was stating weren't really being acknowledged, so he kept repeating them. It's on the same par of when a parent is trying to tell their son or daughter to stop doing something, so they have to repeat it a number of times until they do. Or when someone is picking on you and you tell them to stop until they do, it's a strengthened form of communication, not hypnotism.
No its him ignoring the conversation & just wantin 2 leave the 1 message in peoples minds. His points were bein acknowledege he just didnt care
& when a parent repeats somethin over & over again 2 a child thats the parent trying 2 enforce a message 2 the child
If u ever listen 2 a hypnosis tape ull notice the same shit being repeated.Herber couldnt care what the conversaton was or if he sounded borin repeatin himself he just did.Its these sly shitty tatics that makes people hate scientology
Yeah, but see this is a completely different situation with completely different parameters. Hypnosis is hypnosis. The person has voluntarily committed themselves to this type of therapy in order to have some sort of stress or hidden problems come to surface. Sure, maybe he's repeating things, but how is it hypnotism when everyone is wide awake and aware of what's going on? That's not what hypnotism includes. It doesn't include people who are awake. They were communicating, that's all.
lol, thats a comman mistake people make about hypnosis, theres many different ways people can put thoughts or suggestions into peoples heads. Derren Brown will do 3 or 4 at the same time hes amazing watch?v=befugtgikMg(at least 5 in this 1).Anyway, LRH uses one constantly called the Confusion Technique. Basicly you dont make sense for a while, the brain wont like this so the first thing it can understand it takes in.
Oh and meditation is also hypnosis cause you disconnect your mind from reality
"but how is it hypnotism when everyone is wide awake and aware of what's going on? That's not what hypnotism includes."
Modern hypnosis, btw is much like Dianetic reverie. Look it up. You're thinking of OLD STYLE hypnosis or what was considered hypnosis back when you were growing up. The def's changed. In modern hypnosis the person's aware & awake too. Don't take my word for it. Check the def. for "modern hypnosis" against your Dianetic "reverie." <= Tech Dict. def.
Although a popular misconception is that hypnosis is a form of unconsciousness resembling sleep, contemporary research suggests that it is actually a wakeful state of focused attention and heightened suggestibility, with diminished peripheral awareness.
Check it against your Dianetic reverie. And check all Hubbard said about hypnotism & auditing. On an interesting side note, Hubbard himself was a Master Stage hypnotist, did you even know? One day you may even wake up from the dream. Period.
A hypnotist can hypnotize someone into thinking a certain way, but the person will always relapse. 2 members of my family and I have been through Dianetics auditing, and after 22 years of getting their first sessions, they did not relapse. They've been better ever since and have not gone back to the way they used to be. That might friend, is not hypnotism. It is Dianetics.
$cn has a well hidden criminal history & so far it's been LUCKY or as critic Arnie Lerma says it's employed a well oiled machinery which may be the ONLY thing that TRULY works in $CN: ITS LAWYERS!
There's NO BRIDGE to Total Spiritual Freedom. Ask those who've walked it like OTVIII Michael Pattinson, or Beghe, above. Why would an OTVIII suffer MIGRAINES, for gawd's sake! :) Don't answer ANY of my questions but to yourself.
I know how hard it was for me. I und. the conundrum. Be well, my friend.
If you feel like answering it, here's a "not personal" question for you:
Would you say this is a good definition for Dianetic auditing or the running of engrams?
"A psychoanalytical or psychological term for reliving an experience in order to purge it of its emotional excesses; a type of catharsis. It is a method of becoming conscious of repressed traumatic events."
True or False?
You DO know Hubbard used to credit Freud & others for his discoveries but as time went on he did so less & less
I don't think I'm the one you should be asking. Why don't you just read Dianetics and figure it out for yourself? You should just get the data and study it for what it is, not get my opinion on how close I think your made-up definition for what you think Dianetics is compared to the actual one.
"An individual processed with the aid of the E-meter was said to reach the intended goal of clear and was led to believe there was reliable scientific proof that once cleared many, indeed most illnesses would automatically be cured. Auditing was guaranteed to be successful. All this was and is false -- in short, a fraud."

You must be one of the hypnotized brainwashed cult apologists. How much money have you given to the cult of $cientology? Btw, now under the Terror Poodle David Miscavige who beats his staff (witness, Jeff Hawkins & Mark Headley) it's become more like a Crime Syndicate. He's even altering $cn texts & recorded lectures. LRH's turning in his grave. Oh no, that's right, he was CREMATED to avoid other autopsies. Xenu's out of the bag & the world's learning rapidly about the SCAM. It's GAME OVER, $cn.
That's ONE way of not confronting or answering the questions therein. ;-)
I laugh my ass off too at how people can be so stupid as to give hundreds of thousands of their hard earned money to a cult which promises Clears & OTs and has YET to produce ONE!
It must be a cult, and their members hypnotized, well indoctrinated or brainwashed cause if it was General Motors, there would be riots in the streets. It's criminal exchange, in other words.
"I don't think the questions are any of your business."
LOL
Oh but by its activities the "cultic," abusive & scamming Criminal Syndicate IS & HAS become the 'business' of MANY & soon 2b even more. After all $cientology TRIES to run itself as one but is IN REALITY as I describe it above.
$cn ruins lives & businesses. It breaks apart families & friendships & it makes enemies at every turn violating 2 of its most basic PLs: Deliver what you promise & Maintain friendly relations with the environ.
The guy says, in practically the same breath, that he's worked in prisons and helped people in prisons and uses that to strengthen his image, then expels the prisoners from the church. Bless him.
This is interesting: Those civilian members of the local police forces broke the law (arguably because they were ordered by Sc'logy to do so). What does Sc'logy do? Try to help them get rid of their demon ghosts? No: kick them out of their cult.
Sc'logy really have a self-induced but fully deserved image problem. :D
I was in C of $ for 30 years. The majority of people "in" will agree that Scientology would "NEVER DO THAT, AND THOSE PEOPLE SHOULD GO TO PRISON". It was designed with the whole intention of extorting money from people who need real help.
Many people have died as a direct result of the cult of scientology's actions.

LRH's turning in his grave. Oh no, that's right, he was CREMATED to avoid other autopsies. Xenu's out of the bag & the world's learning rapidly about the SCAM. It's GAME OVER, $cn.

"all I can do is laugh my ass off at this post. "

I don't think the questions are any of your business.

Must've been why he repeated it six times.

When someone so vehemently asks me to make up my mind, I can usually tell it's a smoke screen. People aren't that stupid... I hope.

The guy says, in practically the same breath, that he's worked in prisons and helped people in prisons and uses that to strengthen his image, then expels the prisoners from the church. Bless him.
cromicus 4 years ago
Yeah, and when you threaten the church the first thing they do is make up lies about you and call you a criminal!!!
czoz 4 years ago
At least he'll be used to prison. lol
