  • no more houses on the dublin road, burn moneymore and build there.

  • maybe you would like to know drogheda united wont be allowed the use of united park after this season as it doesent meet leauge requirements so without this stadium we will go out of existence. so wouldent having no football team create more of a vacuumin drogheda???

  • No problem with stadium mate. From what I've read in the paper they are free to apply for planning but have chosen not to do so. It's the 5000 houses that are the problem

  • im not too familiar with the development. I've heard very little about it. I'm actually studying urban and regional planning in college. Now legally, under any large scale development there needs to be proper provisions made, such as local facilities, including shops and recreational facilities. Im not even sure if this has been given permission. But the only way it will is if the developers provide sufficient access and facilties for the people.

  • I reckon more access to the motorway would probably be created. Beymore is and ideal location. A stadium would help the area socially and economically.

  • Sounds like you are towing the party line. Access to the toll you mean. How would a stadium contribute socially and economically? Drogheda is hardly Barcelona. What about the vacuum created in Drogheda by moving United Park out of the down? Will there be economic and social decline in the town. How will this be fixed.

  • so do we just forget about football in the north east completly den? there has to be another solution to your traffic problems.
