when i plugged my ipod into the denon dn-hd2500 it did not work, the unit just froze. i don't think it's broken because i can plug a keyboard into it, and do everything else, but can you tell if what im doing is wrong, or do i just need a new ipod

You have to first set your ipod to disc mode with in Itunes.

Can you get one with a fold out LCD so you don't have to carry it around separate?

The LCD screen is built-in to the unit. If you are using your computer with software like Serato, then having your laptop is necessary.  The laptop is just there for reference purposes.

yes I use virtual DJ so a unit like this that has a computer screen on it would be ideal. I could fit the main board, graphics card, hard drives etc into the box.
