Go to the resolutions settings, choose the second screen and choose "use this monitor for windows" or something like that! :D

@Anon5K thr is going to be a button on your computer that lookskind of like this... |[]|  it might be a function key, so hold fn and hit that button, it will be on one of the f keys, mine is on f2. Hit that a few times, hitting it once should display only on the external monitor , twice should display both excternal and laptop , third should displap just laptop. did i help? check out my channel.

great idea, but most linux systems can run multiple instances of x-server, keys f7 - f12 on my machine all run different instances of Kde, that and there are workspace switchers

Those things are huge. I use EVGA UV+16 and it is the size of 1/2 a deck of cards. Runs off USB and you can add up to 8 monitors by using them.
