I own a mac and a PC. In my opinion i love my mac, i do everything on it, execpt from gaming, even though it has a core i7 and ATI 4000 series graphics card. But there is so much errors and stuff with PC, if the most of my games were compitable with my mac I´d rather use that to play games. But macs is very overpriced, if you´re gonna have a gaming mac, you´ll end up paying a lot of money, and i´m from Norway and everything costs shit down here, although i bought my "gaming mac" in the states.
my opinion is mac becuz i had a mac for a long time n no problems at all before that i had 3 pcs n it all got a virus and do they have a pc phone or tablet a or no but they have a apple products

Ubuntu, Mint, Debian, Opensuse, Fedora.... practically ANY Linux-based operating system is way better than MS or Mac shitware. Plus they are free and open source. And if there is even a slightest thing you don't like, you can change it! PC hardware is as good and even better than mac, if you invest same amount of money to it.

Hello (Im an owner of a 13") MacBook Pro mid 2010 model. I can play Morrownd, Skyrim, Fallout, MW2, Black Ops, Minecraft and World of Warcraft at amazing framerates (How's 98fps for it on high)?

And umm honestly if you actually used your PC brain for once if you wer to get a mac you can create your games and make money off of them... They just hate the fact Macs taking over... Hell, my college radio station doesn't even bother with Macs when it comes to live broadcasts, it's a complete PC setup there. Same for our capturing & mixing studio.
As for this gaming thing, I haven't even touched a game in 2 years. I just like making random, yet valid, points about Mac pitfalls.

The SUNY system has some of the highest college standards in the country, matched only by Ivy league colleges and the California State College systems.
Further, try checking out what VFX artists such as Andrew Kramer use (hint: it's called a HP Z800 workstation...a PC).
For you to sit there and blindly claim that Macs are the only computers capable of being utilized as DAW's or VFX or Editing stations, is, at best, an idiotic and uninformed stance.
Ever hear of a BOXX? How about HP's "Z" line of workstations? They are both professional level machines that are WIDELY used in the media editing industry, both for their stable build AND for their cost versus those underpowered Mac Pro's.
@AndrewDeLong BUT, Mac's are much better at video, music and more. Im in high school and we use Mac's for our broadcasts and video editing and everything elce. I also have a Mac and I think it is much better for...well just about everything.
@Smith8154 Well, I'm in college, and for our TV and Radio broadcasting, we use PC's. we have like, 3 old Macs that we edit on, and 14 PC's. Don't get me wrong, Macs are decent at media, but they lack the power to really go at it. If I want to run Premiere Pro or AVID with real time rendering, I'll stick with a PC outfitted with a Nvidia GTX or Quadro card. Macs can only take ATI and certain Quadro cards, which really limits them, both in customization, and price/performance.
@Smith8154 There really is no difference what so every as the hardware in a mac is the same as it's made by outside companies like Intel, Seagate, AMD etc... list goes on. Only draw back is windows takes longer to start up because of registry checks or something like that to prevent viruses. Which doesn't make Mac OS better as a free OS called Linux (of which there are many versions, Ubuntu being most popular) loads just as fast if not faster.

PS3 may have BluRay, but who really needs it unless you have a projector (that's why my family got one, we have a 120" projector that we watch movies on via PS3, otherwise it just collects dust while we play games on Xbox, because XBL is better than PSN. @InspectorWobbuffet Actually...it's been proven left and right that a PS3 packs a bit more power than a 360. But I honestly am not concerned with that, seeing as I use a Wii, and that's mainly for Netflix.
Also, a 120" projector on Blu Ray isn't a good idea. 1080p resolution (which is the highest Blu Ray supports), becomes more distorted after you go beyond 100". Right now, your family is watching some rather distorted stuff. Downscale to 99" for better results.

This is shown by the PC's ability to run up into the 2K resolution range of graphics on multiple monitor setups at 120fps, versus the console's ability to struggle to achieve even 1080p graphics on one TV at a modest 48fps.

I've been using windows my entire life, and I've never had a virus, my computer has never been hacked, the only problem I've really had, was because I had to reinstall windows, but it wasn't that big a problem, since all my files were saved. I only had to reinstall my games.
I'm gonna be forced to use a Mac next year in school, but I'm still keeping my pc and using my pc outside school.
Any PC users still using Vista almost deserve the stress... Windows 7 64 bit is amazing.... PC: twice the computer at half the cost of a mac, a lot more gaming, sorry mac, I'll stick with PC and use the money I saved to get good virus protection, ect.... I dig my Asus!

@Horakon I've been using Windows for 15 yrs... and within 1 week I saw the superiority that Mac offers... the truth is Windows doesn't really "suck per say" but it's not that efficient for many users. I know tons of people that have Windows and wish they had a Mac, but virtually no one that uses Mac that wishes they had a Windows computer. There's a reason for that. I use dual boot Windows 7 on my Mac but even if I didn't have that option, I would never buy another Windows computer.

@Viper95z Lol, I haven't even touched a video game in two years. I'm in a TV-Video broadcasting degree at a SUNY (State University of New York) college. The SUNY system has some of the highest college standards in the country, matched only by Ivy league colleges and the California State College systems.
Further, try checking out what VFX artists such as Andrew Kramer use (hint: it's called a HP Z800 workstation...a PC).
Can you PROVE that WB uses only Macs?

@AndrewDeLong BUT, Mac's are much better at video, music and more. Im in high school and we use Mac's for our broadcasts and video editing and everything elce. I also have a Mac and I think it is much better for...well just about everything.

@Smith8154 Well, I'm in college, and for our TV and Radio broadcasting, we use PC's. we have like, 3 old Macs that we edit on, and 14 PC's. Don't get me wrong, Macs are decent at media, but they lack the power to really go at it. If I want to run Premiere Pro or AVID with real time rendering, I'll stick with a PC outfitted with a Nvidia GTX or Quadro card. Macs can only take ATI and certain Quadro cards, which really limits them, both in customization, and price/performance.

@Smith8154 There really is no difference what so every as the hardware in a mac is the same as it's made by outside companies like Intel, Seagate, AMD etc... list goes on. Only draw back is windows takes longer to start up because of registry checks or something like that to prevent viruses. Which doesn't make Mac OS better as a free OS called Linux (of which there are many versions, Ubuntu being most popular) loads just as fast if not faster.

PS3 may have BluRay, but who really needs it unless you have a projector (that's why my family got one, we have a 120" projector that we watch movies on via PS3, otherwise it just collects dust while we play games on Xbox, because XBL is better than PSN. Still, PC does rape both.

@InspectorWobbuffet Actually...it's been proven left and right that a PS3 packs a bit more power than a 360. But I honestly am not concerned with that, seeing as I use a Wii, and that's mainly for Netflix.
Also, a 120" projector on Blu Ray isn't a good idea. 1080p resolution (which is the highest Blu Ray supports), becomes more distorted after you go beyond 100". Right now, your family is watching some rather distorted stuff. Downscale to 99" for better results.

This is shown by the PC's ability to run up into the 2K resolution range of graphics on multiple monitor setups at 120fps, versus the console's ability to struggle to achieve even 1080p graphics on one TV at a modest 48fps.

1) Saying DAW (digital audio workstation) Audio is redundant.
2) PC's have Audition, Soundbooth, Sony Acid, and FL Studio. So yes, they do perform DAW tasks. Quite well actually.
3) For you to make the rather moronic claim that PC's can't act as a DAW shows that you have an astounding lack of knowledge in the media editing world. Because of this, I recommend that you keep silent, as fools oft ought to do.

I've been using windows my entire life, and I've never had a virus, my computer has never been hacked, the only problem I've really had, was because I had to reinstall windows, but it wasn't that big a problem, since all my files were saved. I only had to reinstall my games.
I'm gonna be forced to use a Mac next year in school, but I'm still keeping my pc and using my pc outside school.

@Horakon I've been using Windows for 15 yrs... and within 1 week I saw the superiority that Mac offers... the truth is Windows doesn't really "suck per say" but it's not that efficient for many users. I know tons of people that have Windows and wish they had a Mac, but virtually no one that uses Mac that wishes they had a Windows computer. There's a reason for that. I use dual boot Windows 7 on my Mac but even if I didn't have that option, I would never buy another Windows computer.
