  • Oracle sucks Harley Quinn rules

  • Teal you are a good actress!

  • @liemdrake Thank you!!!! :-)!!

  • Redo Yiu said It ! I think yiu actually Look like her!

  • YIOU Said! YIu actly look Like Her tome! I also use wheelchair hated Loosimg her AS Oracle!

  • don't worry oracle fans we still have her in the arkham games

  • but nice vid by the way

  • batgirl barbara gordon is my fav dc character take oracle and shove it she can dround who cares about cass or ste4ph barb is batgirl again get over

  • Brilliant. I actually liked Barbara as Oracle. They should've just kept Stephanie or Cassandra as Batgirl and moved the hell on

  • Truly funny vlog, "Oracle". I 'd love to see you do more. Like tell us how you really feel about Nightwing, how much you want to kick Joker's ass or even some dirt on Batman. Keep up the great work. You are a natural.

  • And that's why I'm a gamer. Following the canon, lore and continuity of comic books gets difficult if you don't have a giant time-line written on your wall.

  • This is awesome. I think the reboot has been great for a lot of the characters but I loved Oracle. I loved what Oracle made Barbara Gordon stand for and what she believed in. The fact she never gave up even when she was paralyzed. Plus, she was teckie as hell which made her super hot.

  • phooey with bats. Have it be FALCON WOMAN!

  • You tell 'em, Babs!

  • I think she should have stayed as Oracle even if they did make her walk again,( given that Oracle/Barbara Gordon lives in a world with incredible cybernetic and genetic technologies and was a friend to one of the richest men on that planet, it always seemed bizarre to have her stuck in a wheelchair, i guess Batman was always too busy spending millions on some bat-gadget to care ) and left the role of Batgirl alone.

  • It's all about a handful of Nostalgists whining and complaining until they get what they want like the spoiled man children they are.

I was quite satisfied with the Batgirl they had. Stephanie Brown FTW!

  • In addition to the fact that it's just plain digusting to do away with the Oracale, I find it violates one of the (Apparently former) prime rules of DC:

    Whatever Alan Moore says, goes.

  • Probably the best response to the reboot I've ever seen. I was wondering what Barbra Gordon would have thought about being rebooted, because her role as Oracle is, by far, the coolest part of her superhero career. Think about it. She doesn't place herself in harms way, and yet she becomes more invaluable than any supercomputer that a hero could ask for. Thanks so much for standing up for the only hero I like in DC's cannon!

  • @Mangaleech Thank you so much for your comment!!! Means a lot to me :-) Teal

  • @MyGimpyLife I didn't think you'd actually reply. Thanks so much for consideration. Btw, your role of Venom in The Guild was one of my highlights for that series. Tonight I raise a glass to you. An empowered actress making the world the way she wants it to be (which, by coincidence, happens to be what I like in the world). Keep it up! You've got a diehard fan in me.

  • it's sale's are starting to go down.

  • Barbara Gordon accomplished so much more in a wheelchair than she ever did in spandex. What was DC thinking here? Seems like it's purely for nostalgia purposes, and doesn't make any real sense.

  • I love this vid LONG LIVE ORACLE

  • Funny and truthful! This is one of the reasons why I'm not supporting the DC reboot with my reboot with my dollars. Great video, and might I add; you're very cute! ;-)

  • Thank you thank you ! Now i know what that tune is. Great :)

  • p.s. what is that music playing in the background called ? I've heard it many times but don't know whats it's called

  • @jawa808 Erik Satie :-)

  • I love a girl with glasses.

  • That was very funny. thanks for sharing

  • @jawa808 Thank you!!!

  • @MyGimpyLife No problem. I think i saw you dance a few years ago and i thoroughly enjoyed the performance. I don't read comics but i know the character and this constant rebooting is crap especially as Oracle is a cool character

  • Honestly the whole idea of a character, a hero, in a wheel chair is kinda silly to begin with. Heroes "get better" from death all the time so how is getting better from being paralyzed any different. Especially considering how more "advanced" technology is in the world of heroes. Healing a spinal injury shouldn't be all that hard. If I recall Batman had his spine broken by Bane at one point in the 90s. He got better. Superman "died". He got better. I see no difference here.

  • Also!

Those living with disabilities shouldn't look to fiction for inspiration. Look at those guys and gals without legs who run marathons. Now that's some true inspiration!

However if you still want a disabled hero I believe Daredevil is still blind :)

  • @davidmorrisw And why not? Why can't we look to fiction for inspiration? Able bodied people do it all the time. Why should it be any different for us?

  • One question: If you think Barbara is in her 30's now, how freaking old does that make Bruce Wayne?

The fact that all the sidekicks aged into their 20's and 30's for several generations while oddly enough Batman himself has always remained solid in his mid 30's, is one very good reason to reboot the comics continuity and de-age some people.

You may want to watch Batman: The Animated Series, and every other Batman cartoon, because Barbara Gordon is not just another Batgirl, she is THE Batgirl.

  • @Rousalaine Not MY Batgirl. Back in the 80's I witnessed Babs revealed as Oracle in Ostrander and Yale's Suicide Squad. To me THAT was Barbara Gordon. Batgirl has been Cassandra Cain and recently Stepanie Brown, two very accomplished Batgirls. Start naming memorable Batgirl stories. I bet you that you run out of Batgirl stories before I run out of Oracle ones.

  • @DaVeO52 Two very accomplished Batgirls? One was Batgirl for 9 years, never made it outside the comics, the other was Batgirl for only two years. Barbara has been Batgirl since 1967, and in those 20 years of oracle in the comics she always remained Batgirl in the cartoons. The fact that she now comes back as Batgirl is directly related to the fact that Barbara is more iconic as Batgirl than as Oracle, and much more famous than any other Batgirl. Start naming cartoons with Oracle.

  • @Rousalaine oracle apears on the batman on the part were batman and nightwing take on mr freeze and then oracle calls nightwing robin and then nightwing tells her that he doesnt go by robin anymore he goes nightwing then shes like ok nightwing

  • @TheJavman1 That was one tiny cameo set in the future of that show's timeline. I'm talking about cartoons that featured Oracle as a regular character the way Barbara was Batgirl in each and every cartoon show.

  • @Rousalaine See that's part of the issue. Why has Babs been Batgirl in all of these cartoons? The only reason people think she's more iconic as batgirl than oracle is because DC has gone out of their way to brand her as such. The fact that there's no real cartoons with Oracle is part of the problem, not a reason to tout why it's all okay.

  • @neotsukihime Part of YOUR problem. Not mine. For TV and animation Batgirl is simply more thrilling and entertaining for younger audiences than Oracle, and for Batgirl Barbara Gordon is a more thrilling and entertaining alter0ego than Cassandra or Stephanie, because of who Barbara's father is and how that ties her to Batman in more ways than just the logo on her chest. Batman/Bruce Wayne-Jim Gordon-Barbara Gordon/Batgirl-Batman/Bruce Wayne.

  • @Rousalaine It's not just MY problem. It's a lot of people's problems. If you can't see that I'd consider rechecking your priorities.

And no. YOU think Barbara Gordon is more thrilling and entertaining than Cass or Stephanie. Cass has more that ties her to Bruce than just her logo. Heck, so does Stephanie. Are they the commissioners daughter? No, but so what?

  • @Rousalaine

And your bit about younger audiences is a cop out. Have you asked kids what they want? I bet you haven't. My 9 year old sister, 15 year old sister, and 11 year old brother all got asked about this and they think it sounds amazing having Oracle in a cartoon. One said "Heck yeah!" another said "Dude, that'd be so G!" and the third was too busy bouncing and going "Yay! When can I watch this? Can we watch it now?" Three very different kids, three similar responses.

  • @Rousalaine In fact. To be specific. My 15 year old sister launched into this story about how it'd be so cool for Oracle to get to boss around a different batgirl and that sort of thing. Oh wait. That sounds an awful lot like Stephanie's batgirl run doesn't it? I told her so and promised her I'd loan her my copies of Miller's Batgirl run. She's so excited to get to read that and wishes it was a cartoon.

  • @neotsukihime Yeah, the Oracle and Steph/Batgirl duo was awesome. It does make for a very cool cartoon concept. Batgirl Beyond. While Babs will always be my Nr:1 Batgirl, Stephanie is certainly a close 2nd, and while i love that Babs is back as Batgirl, i hate that Stephanie's book had to be cancelled for it. I only hope that with this DCNU, Stephanie still shows up for more than a few cameo's each year. The Spoiler and Blackbat should be Batgirl's best friends in the new comic.

  • Pretty damn clever!

  • Sorry, "Oracle". Babs was meant to be Batgirl.

  • I don't see why using a clip from Batman & Robin proves any point here... The character of Batman in that movie also sucked. Should we judge Batman by that? No. We judge him by the comics. Just like we should for Barbara Gordon Batgirl...

  • BTW, Horsewoman in Demon Knights sounds like an awesome character.

She actually goes out and fights, too.

  • Yeah, because being rehabilitated to walk again is such a thing to be upset about.

    Talk about ungrateful...

  • You don't get cured, you get placed into one of those robotic leg thingies.

and yes, Killing Joke did happen.

    continue.

  • This was so good!!

My mom laughed and she doesn't even speak english. lol

Her facial expression alone is histerical! xD

    TEAM ORACLE! \o/

  • Great stuff! Funny and well-acted!

  • Sweet merciful heavens, that was hilarious. Excuse me while I watch it again.

  • You definitely rock Teal. Oh and red hair suits you very well.

  • Great video. Gave a good laugh for the day. Hopefully Dan Didio might see it.

  • OMG so funny...Bitch on Wheels! Love UUUUUUUUU!!!!!

  • don't forget MANTIS!!!!

  • Awesome Video But I don't care that much as long as the story is good, I'm sure Gail Simone can pull this off, but sorry for all the people who dislike the change, I understand your feelings.

  • Awesome, Erik Satie!

  • so great!

  • ABSOLUTELY!!! Nothing but net on this!!

  • Yes, yes, yes, Guildie love from The Loki~XD

  • Your right most of them had short lifespans: MANTIS, Exo-Man, Captain Pike (not a superhero), Ironside. Guess Oracle and Prof. are it.

  • AMAZING

  • That made my day!

  • @daredevil66 Glad to hear that! :-)

  • The Marvel pun was cheesy. But other than that, a great clip. I love angry-at-DC Oracle.

  • That was freaking Hilarious! "Girl? I'm in my 30's for god sake!" ROFL

  • @Nimbatik Thanks!!!
