Letizia was born in Asturias,Spain. A totally different accent.

What a classy TRI-LINGUAL lady Princess Maxima is, her accent is totally adorable and the inflections from Argentina, Netherlands and even her English all shine through in a lovely way, she is an absolute asset to the Netherlands Royal Household and she and Prince Willem seem so very happy together too, and they have adorable daughters as well... i had only seen her in a few pics until a few hours ago when i read and watched a few videos about her.

as someone stated somewhere here her english accent is NOT the typical accent of someone whose mother tongue is spanish. she gives perhaps at times hints of it, but also of dutch. she's obviously more influenced by british english than american english if any.

i read she has a degree in economics which makes her rather intelligent.

all and all, good role model!

her english is more than acceptable. Her accent is anything but spanish.

If you want to listen to an "accent", listen to letizia from spain speaking english ... and compare. Maxima's english is great.

@illshowyouwhat her accent doesn't sound spanish, because you're used to hear the accent from Spain. Accents vary tremendously in the spanish language, (like in english: American vs British). Maxima is from Argentina... this nation's spanish sound more like Italian if I had to compare it to anything else.

Before she became Princess, this lady had had an outstanding upbringing and education and ended up to be a prominent international banker.
