  • Such a shame, this video suggests that if you take a car and fail to stop for police all you have to do is ram the police car and they will let you go. I'm sure this is not the case but it may give some ideas to the wrong people.

  • called off ?

  • You can't catch a Type R

  • @TheDoubleddopplar probibly a volvo v70 cross country or some thing like that. the suspect car looks like a new ek 20 styled civic!!! (honda civic hatchback)

  • ebjoyed the professional driving in this...must say ,very impressed, however may i add that a rolling block would be far more effective if another unit were placed in the hard shoulder along side the traffic to prevent the exit if the gfleeing driver, not an armchair quotation,am advanced driver trained ,and not in law enforcement, despite my comment, overall.excellnt video...really enjoyed watching the upload.thank you.

  • In Canada and the USA, the theory goes like this, If the driver can be identified, call off the pursuit. Usually done by the road Sgt. In this example, the Police need to weigh the risks versus reward. How many more people were put at risk while the suspect was pursued by Police? What if they called off the pursuit? Many more people would NOT have been put at risk. He would have slowed down and the Police could have investigated the driver through other means. Not reckless, just bad policing.

  • The guy got away, I have just wasted 5 mins of my life watching a low life mong get away......i don't care what the coppers do as long as the baddie get his collar felt or in these twisted times, a community order and a playstation 3..

  • Which car was it that this is filmed in?

  • What amazes me with videos like this is the amount of anti police arm chair "experts" who all seem to know police procedures and training. Hands up if you (and sadly I'm not) are a class 1 T-PAC and pursuit driver................... Can't see many hands going up...... Funny that!!

  • @grumpyrozzer Speaking as the then Pursuit Commander - This was flawed from the offset, especially when the motorway patrols were on one radio channe land Staffordshire Police were on another. I think they call it progress.

  • It says petards down in the bottom right hand corner. I think it's a type, should be retards. That is SHOCKING. I was luck rather than good judgment that the officer himself didn't cause an massive accident. This part of the video shouldn't exist. The chase should have been called off on the motorway with the risks to public safety that were going on

  • Should have been called off way earlier. It's a shame to lose the scrote but with that driving in those conditions it's just a matter of time until someone gets killed.

  • I can't believe the little bastard got away. It must be disappointing to get called off.

  • that is one hell of a good chase. brilliant vid, you truly are an ADVANCED BIKER!

  • lol

  • Eh!!...Keele Services, M-6 Near Stoke. Is that not the spot where those two girls ran out into traffic? Sabina Erikson? Looks like it. Just an observation.

  • Amazingly lucky there were no broken down vehicles. Coming round corners 100+ on the hard shoulder would be a massive impact.

    Red mist perhaps.

  • Who'd be in favour of getting rid of half of the motorway patrol cars, scrapping police helecopters throughout Britain and let the army use these chases as live training excersises for their Apache gunship crews.

That way you save money on Police resources, you can sell off half of salsbury plain, you train the army and get rid of all these criminals ... Brilliant isn't it!!!!

  • @xlmp96 i like your way of thinking ......id rather my bike destroyed than stolen by some little scrote

  • All this shows is how poor your training must have been back then. Running the hard shoulder at 96mph, in the rain, ridiculous! You'd never be allowed to get away with that today. If you'd had a pol-ac at that speed, youd be sent down.... Nice to look back and enjoy but would never be allowed today....

  • @andrewsleight In part 1 he gets upto 124mph on the hard shoulder in the rain......... He was very, very , very lucky. There was no skill involved.

  • @andrewsleight lol back then? this is 2006 so only 5 years ago...

  • Not worth the lives put at risk. If chasing is all you have in your police tool box then I sugest you learn how to block, road spike and pit.

  • Not worth the lives put at risk. If chasing is all you have in your police tool box then I sugest you learn how to block, road spike and pit.

  • @541pogi Spikes and "pitting" are both incredibly dangerous to the public too. Its a double-edged sword.

  • Dangerous driving by police, should have called it off straight away

  • HONDA CIVIC IS THE SHIT MY NIGGGAAAS

  • personaly i think police should have the option of a big gun for car theifs

  • that copper had the red mist.

  • In addition to the problem of debris on the hard shoulder, the most concerning things for me were the nearside overtakes and a couple of lane changes through blindspots (e.g. the rigid at 2:35, van at 2:44, mondeo at 4:39). Given the lack of awareness generally exhibited on the motorway coupled with the spray and high closing speeds from unexpected positions, it's fortunate there wasn't a serious collision.

  • The cop did well even to keep that nutjob in sight. That was some pursuit, 110mph along a hard shoulder in the pouring rain. What did he do ... steal your donut??

  • Hey Iam a fan of getting the criminals but surely this chase should have been called off well before it got on the main roads. That hard shoulder driving was sheer madness There for the grace of god and to cap it all it was called off any way.Sorry cops your driving shows you are very experienced but you should be able to control your own egos when needed. SHEER MADNESS

  • Doing 110 in the hard shoulder is quite silly in the dry let alone the wet. There's all kinds of crap in there and if you get a puncture it's not gonna be a small accident.

  • it should have been called off at the beginning, with no air support, it put civilians life in danger. A "how not to " video

  • @Ms1234juju At the time in 2006 ish there were two radio systems in operation. The motorway Police had their own and Staffordshire had theirs. Need I say any more about what happened........I was in the Staffordshire Control room atthe time, and knew nothing about it....

  • @advancedbiker

"Staffordshire Control room" must be a very small force on a very small budget if its the case that the "motorway Police" dont even have a system in place where there is communication between themselves and the divisional/city resources.

  • @V6POWA They used to work on different channels, which could be patched together, that is if the Control was told what was happening. In this case they were not, until the chase had nearly finished. May have changed in the but I would have thought so.

  • @Ms1234juju And just what do you think this piece of shit would have done after the chase was called off? OOOh do I drive at normal speed or do I continue driving like an idiot putting peoples lives at danger! GET real you twat! Stop these idiots as soon as possible because you will not catch them later! You are simply saying give the green light to all car theives! They can drive as they wish an no on is going to stop them! TAKE OFF YOU ROSE TINTED GLASSES!

  • I love how the Americans soloution to everything is to just shoot it! Lmao

  • ? so aswell as bus lanes we now have police lanes? why why why was this cop swerving from lane to lane when unecasary? why do 100mph on hard shoulder with giant puddels? hit a deep one and he aquaplanes through all 3lanes. this cop hasent got a clue and is just as dangerous as the guy hes chasing

  • WEll atleast they have his licence number haven't they

  • All i gotta say is... FUCKING CIVIC?? with its 4 cylinder?/? I mean dont get me wrong.. I LOVE MY HONDA but dame!! a Fucking CIVIC was giving these cops hard time... they need to pimp out their police car.. or atlest give em ALL AMERICAN HEMI lol. i dont like my american cars soo much but i like the COP Cars here shity ones are real shity and the good one r off the wall!!!

  • fukin right go HONDA!!!!!!

  • So, let me get this rite. the car was stolen and then ok'd to be chased in the pouring rain in traffic! this is the irony of the british justice system. if the person who owned the car was allowed to protect his possesions properly i.e. electrifying the door handles, the thieving bastard wudnt hav stolen the car and thus this wudnt hav happened! so much for reasonable force! if this happened to me i'd cut the thief's balls off!!!!

  • some excellent skillfull driving shown by the police i must say,its clearly visible in the driving, use of sirens and lane sawaps, and also keeping the other road users out of harms way...wel done..i personally would have driven that scum bag into the ditch..

  • These UK cops have no clue. In the US when the criminal backs into the police car he's endangering the officer's live and he gets shot end of story.

  • Conclusion: VTEC JUST KICKED IN YO!

  • That was like Damon Hill vs Michael Schumacher. Honda handled it amazingly.

  • Not much he could do I guess if he was on his own.

  • where the hell are the other cop cars is my question.

  • @mrvelocity This isn't America, we don't need 50 police cars to chase 1 car

  • @DJShadesUK I disagree this cop has been after this guy for to long. I don't think you need 50 cop cars to get the job done but at least 2 or 3 more for a road block of some kind rolling or otherwise. The longer he's on the run the more likely he's going to hit someone.

  • Wasn't that dangerous. both the police and the getaway driver seemed to be in control even at those speeds in the rain.

  • I find it disgusting (to say the very least) how this police officer thinks that catching a thief is more important than putting so many innocent lives at risk by driving at those speeds on 30mph roads!!! Absolutely disgusting.

  • @seibei79 It's not like they're idiot drivers. They operate the chase to an assessed level of probability. Yes there IS a chance of an accident, an elevated chance, but in reality with decent cars and capable drivers, it's still unlikely. When the risk rose, when the car was heading into Crewe, a built-up area, the chase was abandoned. There has to be a facility to pursue - and it's a balanced risk. Same balance is struck with Fire and Ambulance services routing to emergencies.

  • good thing it wasn't in the USA, he would not have made it through part 1.

  • @dennismlns Actually with this level of traffic they probably would've had to call the chase off well before these guys do.

  • what was the end? was the Civic caught?

  • @8527913 No got away this time....

  • @advancedbiker all that dangerous (110mph+ in the wet) driving and still didn't catch him, what a waste.

  • @advancedbiker So it does happen then? On TV you guys always get your man, I guess you like having the propaganda in your favour then ?

  • After all that, they let him go? Was the police car too damaged to continue? why was the chase terminated?

  • @rb2112002 Most probably safety concerns. His driving was becoming more and more dangerous and the weather deteriorating. Carry on chasing him and he's likely to crash. Let him go and he'll probably slow down once he realises he's not being chased. I don't see why they didn't do a forced stop on the motorway, though. Easy enough to get vehicles ahead and box him in, no?

  • @sidwills Maybe so. It seems that they had already put the public at risk plenty of times. To just let him go after all that seems like a waste. It would seem possible to put a few cars in front of him. Oh well, its not like they didnt get his licence plate number. Maybe one day he will get a few visitors at home or at work..

  • @sidwills Oops, I forgot it was a stolen car. Got my videos confused..

  • honda ? goudd

  • it's a pity all large lorries can't be in touch with the police, one stops on each side of the road and where's he gonna go?

  • I'd like to ask some questions... Why i didn't see any motorcycle on this Motorway, and... are they "Allowed" to traffic in it? Thanks....

  • @sharpyne5 Yes Police motorcycles allowed on Motorway, butthe motorway itself is Policed by whta is call a motorway group - Only cars.......

  • @advancedbiker So the Motorway itself is only used by cars?

  • @sharpyne5 We have a think called the Central Motorway group which looks after this tretch of the motorway. They have no motorcycles. They can go on if other forces send them on. Put Central Motorway group in the Youtube search box.

  • Well i'll be dipped in shit..he escaped..after all that..

  • No Chopper Units available then?

  • @Soloman1001 No Chopper

  • @advancedbiker

I am being flippant, these guys do an amzing job, dont get me wrong i am there with them with all my emotional spirit, amazing stuff and these criminals are so insane in their methods to escape, only a helicopter can track them safely. Best wishes to all our law inforcement personel.

  • @advancedbiker

Thankyou for the vidoes aswell, it helps me to live my dream of being in the crime fighting business.

  • fast civic what it a type r? lol

  • Excellent Channel!! Nice Videos!!!

Please View and Subscribe our videos.

  • well done getaway driver nice safe drive

  • So after more than 20 minutes, it's called off? Amazing that nobody got hit.

The oddest thing was hearing the yelp and wail from the siren. When did they change over from "e,r,e,r,e,r"?

Do they still have "jam sandwiches"

I haven't been to England since 1981. Hope I can visit again

  • We've had Wail sirens for years, probably 20 plus. I think Manchester were last to have the old horn type (type "Car Wars Manchester" into Youtube and there's some prime examples)

Some forces like the Met in London still have a similar scheme to the old 'jam sandwich' type but most have the 'battenburg' yellow and blue chequered reflective type colours now for safety.

We've even upgraded from whistles to digital radios :)

  • I am afraid 'Jam Sandwiches' have gone. There are hardly any traffic police, they are called road policing units. I have a photo, I will pm you

  • Chase called off?

    Are you kidding me.

    He was right there.

They should just shoot the guy in the face like they do in America and wipe his defective genetics off the face of the planet.

He was right next to them.

They should have just killed that fucking idiot.

  • @tjbayliss Can I just say, that is why they call Americans cowboys... UK police are civilised...

They only called it off because it was becoming too dangerous for other road users...

  • @007MarMite They only called it off when the criminal backed into the police car, if public safety had been a concern they never would have been driving on the shoulder at over 100 mph for miles. In the US when the bad guy tries a stunt like that, he gets shot, the stolen vehicle is returned to it's owner, and the cop gets a pat on the back. It's called enforcement of the law.

  • fair play to the copa his driving was spot on and safe

  • Raining too... V Dangerous

    This the M1 ?

Description only says J14-15 - so I assume it means M1

  • yeah the cops due drive pretty slow in the UK. I guess if one tried to pull me over i prob would never see him, unless miracle happens

  • okay guys put it this way i've got a 850volvo t5 which mean 5 cylinder turbo and 225 bhp. i just couldn't keep up with those f**ker civic vti they have something special in that f**king engine

  • I going to put my Police chase on so you can see how crap these police drivers are and how to getaway it looks to me like he got away HA HA after all that huff and Puf they still could not

did they go out of their county line so they had to back OFF!!

  • Sadly it cunts like you they have to go out and pick up bits of from the motorways then go and tell someones family why they will never see there son/daughter/mother/father/brother - cos some stupid fuck thought they were above the law and rules of physics and chance....

  • simple the cop car couldn't overun the VTEC engine HA HA

  • thats a 250hp volvo T5, its limited to 155mph, Keeping pace with a standard civic on a motorway is not a challenge!

  • Appalling driving. As long as the road is moving, police should always be overtaking on the right, just like anyone else.

Any trained officer will know that the hard shoulder is full of debris - hitting anything at 115mph will not do you good. It's even worse that the other car was overtaking properly, so it was even more important that a space was left to the left so people can get out the way if something goes wrong. They shouldn't need to look for a second police car sneaking up on the left.

  • prawie na gresty road wyladowal.ciekawe co dalej??????????

  • DAM RIGHT !!!

    FrmFrstToLast

    DAM RIGHT !!!

  • :)

    All that chasing...

    So little catch...

  • so he got away?

  • YES

  • it's funny... when the local yokels race their cars on public streets in heavy traffic, it's 'fun' and they 'know what they're doing'.. but when the cops do what they're trained and sworn to do, it's 'reckless'.

  • I could never understand why do people always try to run knowing they are going to ran out of gas at some point, and police have plenty cars to chase them.

  • because you can get away

    pull the right maneuvers

hide in the right place at the right time

cops wont ever know what happened to you

  • yeah. its also funny when they run when theres a helicopter hovering above them. even it the dark when the fleeing suspect has a spotlight surrounding their vehicle, they contnue anyways. criminals usually dont have shit for brains

  • @77BlaBla because its just fun! =D

  • @77BlaBla It doesn't take ten minutes for a full gas tank to run empty. The criminal has a lot of time to get away before they're empty.

  • I Raped T5 models and V70r's Police cars marked and undercovers on the Motorway all the time this is reckless driving from the police may be one day one of them will go to prison for killing someone

  • A Honda Civic was able to outrun all those police cars.

What the hell kind of cars do you drive over there?

  • It must be a few years ago when the cops were underfounded. They now have Suburu Imprezas, EVOs, BMW M5s, volvo S60s, S70s. The london MET police have a lamborghini LP640!

  • Why do they need those cars? CCTV cameras everywhere will solve all the problems.

    Just like National Healthcare.

  • Cameras are all well and good, but they can't stop a car, only observe. It's at night when the really high speed motorway chases happen. I have heard of one chase recently that got upto 160mph, not sure where it was though.

  • 18/04/06 see upper left corner

  • haha, the LP640 was just a publicity stunt. If the MET had that I would do all I can to get to drive it! lol. The fastest UK police car is the Lotus Exige

  • Also, it was too wet to really push the car. They would have gone faster, but it was too dangerous to do so. Also, the Civic is a lot lighter than the Volvo, and probably was a type R. The police only had the advantage that they could make the Civic run out of fuel to stop it

  • Volvo vs, Civic - textbook PIT right there. 3,000lb car vs. 1,500.

  • Unfortunately, in the UK, PIT's are not advisable. Unlike american roads, there are hardly any empty stretches of road, and even at that, a PIT into the barrier would result in the car flipping over the barrier, into the path of oncoming traffic, and the other way is just as fatal, flipping on the verge.

  • advisable, no.

    Fun - YES!

  • I would love to be able to do a PIT when I join, but our cars just aren't designed for it to start off, + nor are the roads! :L

  • The police volvo's are mostly T5 models and V70r's , they are all capable of 155mph and in the hands of an experienced traffic officer quite capable of keeping pace with your average porshe 911.

This guy was clearly experienced, keeping a safe distance but not enough room to escape either, and the move from lane 3 to the slip road was inch perfect in the rain, this guy knows how to handle a patrol car let me tell u.

  • USA better? Nice to hear about country where must be written, that boiled coffee is hot and in Viper SRT is label saying - it's open car, drive carefully :-D :-D :-D nuts!

  • Didn't I hear about an 11 year old girl who got pregnant - in the UK? Thank God for National Healthcare! :-D :-D :-D

  • Since when does Free healthcare stop pregnancy?

You don't go to a hospital and say "Make me pregnant".

  • That should pay for the abortion.

  • I like the ones from the USA better, PIT manoeuvre, get out of the car; bang bang bang. Case closed.

  • too soft in this country, just after the police car is nudged ,he should have been put off the road.!

  • yes lets PIT someone into an innocent driver at speed like in the US great idea sherlock

  • why is it called off after all that?

  • becasue its has esculated, before this the driver showed no aggresion towards the police or other road users, and he is coming towards a residential area so the control room inspector will have called it off. also its beein going on for ages already with no signs of stopping

  • Did they not want to create a rolling roadblock in this chase? I thought that was normal procedure now?

  • Comment removed

  • stpid police they have nothing better to do????????

    police are silly arseholes

  • When your car gets stolen when you have one be sure to tell them not to chase it then. But they are silly arseholes

  • I do not know why the bandit car was being persued over the given distance.

However, the risk by all involved was totaly overboard and unecessary, a lot of vehicles could of been involved in a major catastrophe !!

Any HGV with a puncture wanting to move to the hard shoulder could off caused multiple deaths. I respect the police and the job they do but this chase was totaly unjustified and should of been stopped much sooner.

  • The cops just enjoy doing it. Safety of the others around them is the last concern, otherwise, they'd let the person go. No... they chase and chase until someone wrecks EVERYTIME.

  • Maybe in the USA yes, UK - no

  • I just noticed something while watching this video and I wanted to die laughing after I made I noticed a minor detail....the cop at the beginning is proceeding to chase the honda at 100 mph. What's funny is that normally on a highway doing these speeds would make you move past other vehicles quite nicely, but he's just crawling by meaning that everyone on that road is fucking moving lol lol!

  • Yeah Normal in the uk 80mph motorway. Speed limit 70 but as a unwriten rule 80 ok

  • Yeah 80 is ok but its a bit of a lottery.... if its a guy with a speed gun then theyre gonna do you for 75+ (like any other speed camera) but if the police are driving along then its different.

I saw one episode of Traffic cops and a cop on patrol in Norfold would allow speeds up to 95mph depending on weather and traffic lol

  • Comment removed

  • But I can say that these cops looked very well trained, so they must be Class-A pursuit drivers. (Yeah, my dad was a cop, so I know the types... I wonder if they are still called the same thing... *wonders*)

  • What separates the classes?

  • I have to say that this chase should have been called off... in dry conditions it would have been fine, but in wet, it's dangerous. They should leave the chopper to it. But, since it happened, five stars

  • BMW have facelifted the 6 series. It's great

  • Are you people dull?? If he wasnt a criminal they wouldnt chase him, if he didnt drive in such a reckless manor he wouldnt have to be chased in such a way. Do you not think they control centre would of warned of broken down vehicles in this section of m-way?

And as for using the hard shoulder for these speeds, do you not think its safer than being in lane3 were some dumb ass doing 75 would pullout without looking or signalling - just like happens every hour of every day on every motorway?

  • anyone notice how fast the other drivers are going... in the rain ???

    Retards.

  • I just noticed that too! lol!

  • All the criminals know that all thay have to do to get away from the police is to ram them or drive so crazy that thay call it off, so what is the point of chasing them in the first place. All that danger to the public and the police all for nothing,

  • so uh how did this end? im confused

  • Its ok though, because the police are Trained not against pallet trucks that i hit last year the copper must of had no toys as a child or is to hide his small penis what did that cost the tax payer that car should be used for protecting old ladies and such hope a copper gave him a slap as this twat does not give confidence in the police and if he did not have them sirens and flashing light the civic would have blown him off miles before was the copper in noddys car with big ears

  • fucking good job no innocent cunt's broken down on the hard shoulder!

    fucking orrible inconsiderate pigs

  • policeman or not he should not be travelling on the hard shoulder at 109 mph fucking idiot should have known better

  • 02.38 he is sooo close to the car and travelling at 103mph in the rain. Was the police driver repremanded or taken off of High speed pursuits after this?

  • The Police driver, no action, who was to know !

  • theyre intensively trained to drive in all conditions, they wouldn't put their own lives and the public's lives at risk for the plonker in the Civic.

  • So why didn't the chase get called off sooner? All rules of pursuit and advanced driving were broken a number of times and the public were being constantly put at risk by that very unskilled and stupid idiot in the police car. No excuses, he needs retraining and to be prosecuted for dangerous driving. Cheshire allow convicted criminals to work for them as officers, so he wouldn't be out of a job. See news reports and freedom of information act for more details.

  • Scary stuff but I'm betting he didn't receive a ban or points for that display.

  • why did they call off the chase once the honda rammed him?

  • Tbe Patrols were not in contact with the Pursuit Commander, they should have been from the start, so a decisions to carry on or call off the pursuit could be made a supervisory level. This never happened and it was a shambles...... I f I had kow about it earlier, it would have been called off on the motorway, where the patrol car was doing 124 mph up the hard shoulder in the rain. What is the point....

  • I been in pursuits on 2 and 4 wheels. The speed and weather are not the issue here but the hard shoulder stuff..no way..all it takes is Mr & Mrs Smith, 2 kids, flat tyre, hard shoulder......................this guy has a serious case ot 'red mist'.

  • Thanks

I use the clip whenI do my Blue Light Training. A good example as you say 'Red Mist'

  • Nice exit off the M6 though...

  • Couldn't agree more, he lied to the control room during the pursuit and there was a lack of proper command. It should have been called off once the police officer started to drive dangerously on the motorway putting the public at risk from HIS careless actions. I do hope his driving instructor is sacked !

  • Man that is so unbelievably dangerous, who polices the police, what happens if someone pulls on to the hard shoulder to let them pass, the hard shoulder has debris on it, crazy foolish driving that is unexcusable and if they kill someone they get a telling off, wow what a country

  • Isn't this copyrighted?

  • freedom of information act.

you can obtain any bit of information from them as long as you state the act in writing and what you are after, and i do believe they are legally abliged to follow through with it.

  • Indeed you may well be right. That however doesn't give you free reign to publish anything.

  • The original footage I have has no copyright on it and the footage is used by me to illustrate poor Police Driving when giving talks on Driver Behaviour and attitude. This is a Red Mist drive......

  • I only ask because I wanted to upload some footage, but I wasn't sure on copyright.

The police biker was comical, "overtaking on a blind bend" he'd state - then do the exact same thing!

He'd comment on the poor driving and follow too closely, it was an awful piece of footage. Of course the driver got sent down for "dangerous driving" and the police biker?

  • If the case has gone to court and the footage is not needed for evidence, go for it......

I am now doing Blue Light Training and you are not supposed to overtake on white lines if the vehicles in fron are moving at speed.
