@permachoob My mate has a K2 Gixer. I tried it when he first got it - it reminded me of my previous sports bikes (GPX750 and my Exup). I drive for a living now so can't afford to loose my license! My mate has also ridden the Tiger and says he likes it, but yeah two completely different bikes. Be safe.
This is a great bike as I have had mine for over a year and a half now. Two things I have added to mine that I really think are a must are Passo levers and BlueFlame exhaust.
I have yet to do the intake mod. Michelin PR's are now added and are better than the PR1's. Been thinking lately of adding a taller screen for winter.
@britex3186 I've done some more mods since this video. It now has cnc short levers (cheap ones from HK - not Pazzo's!), and just put MRA Vario screen on it :-its about same size as original but with aerofoil. Looks good and better than stock. Not tried oversized type so can't compare them. Also put larger rear sprocket on (46T). Always liked Blue Flame exhausts - should sound good :) Only heard good things about PR2's on this bike too. Check out my intake mod vid if you have'nt seen it. Be safe!
One of the most informative/helpful vids I've seen on utube, thanks.
The 1050 tigers stock lights do worry me a lot and I've heard really poor reviews of them, I also hate the "one eyed" look, ...triumph try to justify this as a saftey feature and then carry on adding double lights on all their other bikes (its a triumph iconic design element!!!). Can you adapt them to have both bulbs lit on low beam (and still retain high beam?)
@jonnygeez Sorry for late reply - just seen your Q. Yes you can adapt headlights so that both a lit when dipped. Search for twinlight driver or look here w w w.triumph-online.co.uk/triumph-tiger--daytona-675-twinlight-driver-3-twin-headlight-upgrade-6759-p.asp
The single headlight does not bother me, but I have added a kill switch so I can switch it off instead of being allways on (saves my HID bulb on start-up). Also fitted LED spotlights - highly recommended mod. See my other video.
had mine a fun 2 years now, headlights were factory set way off and needed adjusting loads to be even cautious riding at night!
i fitted an Evo2 can and had the ecu tune and noticed a lot better fuel economy, no spluttering problems either when i refitted the original exhaust and left the modded tune in.(tune at £25 is worth doing just for the big fuel saving)
screens are always frustrating so gone back to stock
bike is really good except why o why mount the rear brake caliper near the road?
Hi, thanks for the reply. What I was looking for were links or a list to the mods you've done. Things such as manufacturer/model of chain guard, hid lights, bobbin lasertrack etc. Thanks in advance and merry Christmas :)
@TheTripleguy82 Hi, Lazertraks were from Flitwick, chain guard from Heroblobs - see previous comments, but have seen them on eBay recently for less. HID's you can get anywhere - make sure you get slim type.
@TheTripleguy82 Hi, sorry for delay, I have edited video and added details for you. Need to do a new video soon of new mods I have done since though! Be safe :)
Awesome video, thanks mate. I really appreciate the time and effort you put on to a really informative vid. I hate when you are looking for a video of this nature and all you can find is ones that are ACDC songs to riding footage....
Any chance you could list or link to the specific mods you've done? I like them all and think I will get this bike soon!
@TheTripleguy82 Thanks for kind comments, but what's wrong with AC/DC, LOL??? About other mods vids, I have only done 1 vid of mods so far (other mods are so easy to do they do not warrant a vid) about how to do instake de-restriction mod. If you click on my profile it will come up in my vids. Towards new year I will be doing a de-cat mod vid, so check again soon or subscribe.
Got mine from shop.heroblobs.co.uk/collections/triumph-tiger/products/triumph-tiger-1050-longer-chainguard but have seen them on ebay cheaper more recently. Also check out huggers with built in longer chain guards. Bit more money but look good also.
Another question mate - where did you get the extended chain guard?? It's nice and having been riding in the muck today, see why it needs an extension!!
@ovtez Thanks man, your English is much better than my Spanish! I got them from FLITWICK MOTORCYCLES EXPRESS here in the UK, but I don't think there are any more available anywhere.
@JanSolo1011 Glad I did'nt put you off buying one! They are small easily sorted niggles really - I don't think I have ever had a bike I was 100% happy with stock! Reckon you will love what is otherwise a truly excellent bike.
144mph ,i dont know how that happen ....yeah right ;)

Nice Video and nice moddifications.
I have the same bike, in the same colour.
I recommend you the screen MRA touring. It gives a nice look to the bike.
Regarding the solution you have for the rear axis (minute 6:18), can you tell me where you find it?
Thank you and congratulatons for the bike.
(Sorry for my english).
Regards from Spain!
