Soo yes .. Mold looks like lots of little black specs ... Those were the harmfull spores in my opinion.. When i had the mold on the window seals. My face looked like i was dying. My eyes looked dead. But i know what it smells like. I know what the sensations are like. But it is slowly killing you. And its worse knowing that everybreathe is just breathing in spores. Soo your like afraid too breathe deep. But this stuff is shit. But what can you doo ... Cant always just pack up and abandon.

Left the windows open. Now have a fan in the room. Its still gone. But i have two holes in my ceiling which has fallen as im in a very old house and whatnot. So the top floor is falling apart. Lots of leaks (Which most has been fixed.) But theres still black stains on my ceiling. But it looks more like a felt tip pen.. Like someones coloured it in. But its not effecting me soo im not worryign about it as in fact it is in the air and the materials used too build houses nowadays are great for mold

I had mold in my bedroom. I got rid of it with bleach. It went away. During the winter. Never came back. As i had all windows closed. But then as soon as i opened the windows it came back.. I have my curtains closed all the time. And back then i pinned the certains too the wall which didn't help. I was sleeping knowing full well that the main source of oxygen is the windows that are blowing in these spores. I felt burning sensations. Nothing too serious though. But i got rid of it again..

To get upper respiratory infections, my mom is starting to have sinus issues so there at stage 1 heading into stage 2. I have NO mold allergies so you don't have to have a allergy to get sick by mold. I have had 6 or 7 sinus infections ,7 ear infection one of them landed me in the ER for sever head pain to the point I was screaming in pain, and 2 upper respiratory infections.So I have been sic we are movie Thursday into a nice mold free home. I hope we all feel better when we move!

I am 14 and in HELL I have been VERY sick, I did not get sick until we moved into this house I got sick 4 months after and have now been sick for 6 or 7 months. I have had CT scan, blood test, EKGS etc the NEVER find anything. So I looked up mold and I asked my mom and step dad if they would get someone to check it out they agreed and we come to find out that there is 3 VERY toxic molds in are bathroom that are now Air born. People this it way out there. This happens when you garden, cut your grass and walk in the woods. If you see mold smell mold you have mold. Mold testing is a waste of money (I am a mold tester and author of 'The Mold Illustrated Handbook"). All molds are everywhere and not trapped in walls. If you basement floods or have high humidity you will have mold. Mycotoxins are mold wars when different t molds fight each other.

Another thing, thank you for posting this video. I always thought that something horrible was going to be caused when homes are under construction, getting exposed to the elements...wet beams, etc not having time to fully dry before the home is finished.

20/20 ran an episode years back in which a man was getting dememtia and it was found to be caused by the mold in his home which was only a few years old. Mold is killing us.

We have a couple of fish tanks that have gotten neglected and I believe in my gut that it is causing some health problems. I even believe it to be affecting my memory, in which I cannot remember things that I have known all my life....no, it's not an early onset of alzheimers I know, believe, that it's mold related....when my tongue swelled I was sleeping near the fish tanks I mentioned. Mold is an extreme health risk.

Yes Steven I truly believe that there is a great health risk when it comes to all typies of mold, especially black mold. There have been many reports on this topic and verified health reports too. It is linked to memory problems, breathing problems and so many others. It has even been noted as a cause of depression and weight problems. I think you should take this up with your health care provider as soon as possible. Good luck with this.

I have been fixing up an old house that was left to me. Its made of brick and block and has poor ventilation. Mold is everywhere and i've tried every way that i know to stop it. I work for a company that does mold remediations and I suggest that you call WESSA or a similar agency depending where your from and have them test the spore count in your air. If the count is too high the situation will become an insurance related issue in which your landlord will be forced to fix your house depending on the classification it recieves it may be deemed unsafe to live in.
