i think its a bald cap...in the scene where she was shaving, her hair was longer and more reddish then other scenes in the movie.

i dont think she shaved her hair for publicity or to get into the mind of the character or any of the things suggested.

In the book, Sara and Anna shave their heads to be like Kate, and this footage was probably taken of the filming of that scene, so shes wearing a sort of covering over her hair you get for films. Its the most logical explanation, because no way would Cam Diaz shave her hair off!

There's a two year gap between them, because Kate was only 1 y.o. when she got diagnosed with APL that her parents decided to have a genetically programmed baby (Anna).

By the way, the book rocks! One of my favorites! I totally cried buckets..

Well, these are test screenings where random moviegoers watch a film that isn't out yet and fill out comment cards on what you liked and what to improve upon.
