@tron81 Thanks for that! Did you play Tron (I'm guessing from your name). See, I'm 38, and was 8-9 when Donkey Kong Jr was out. I remember Tron, but never played it much, nor Disks of Tron. Anyway, after doing research on Toccata and Fugue, I guess I should associate the song more with Dracula, and not so much death per se? I thought about the song, since they played it on Shawntel Newton's segment on The Bachelor.

On the NES version, there's the 1st level, then the 2nd level with those bird looking things, then the 3rd level with those spark things & the 4th/final level.

You're wrong there actually. The original "Donkey Kong" is Cranky Kong. That part is correct, however DK Jr is NOT the current "Donkey Kong" but the FATHER of the current "Donkey Kong", in other words, the current Donkey Kong is the GRANDson of Cranky Kong. And thus making Donkey Kong (current), a "Donkey Kong III" (as in the 3rd Donkey Kong, or if you wish,

Donkey Kong Jr Jr).

Is this a MAME capture? While this wasn't one of my 1980's favorite games, I have it loaded in my MAME cabinet and have played it. MAME stands for Mutli Arcade Machine Emulator and its a great way to preserve and play those Classic Arcade Games. I used an old Astro Invaders cabinet and built it into a MAME Game. It sits in my game room next to the 1973 pinball machine. If you want to see the build just google this: mame offroaders

How does the computer of a MAME Cabinet run? That seems really interesting. How much does it cost to make one? I used HyperCam 2 to capture my computer frames and convert them to DivX for YouTube.

MAME is a progam that emulates the original machine hardware. You can then run original game code. The PC is in the cabinet, monitor LCD (clocked 90 degrees), controls mapped to keyboard input using something called a keywiz (see my page in the site on it). I have a trackball mouse outside the cabinet to navigate the 2000+ original games loaded in MAME. Cost, 50 bucks for the cabinet, old computer and parts, 200 for the LCD, Keywiz 35 bucks, control buttons & joystick 50 bucks. I love it.
