J mean that in your installation there was not any kernel-module,this is that what you need to run on this device.also the installation disk can not configure your driver while comming from iso and another machine to your usb-card.And so it may not work!sorry for my english.bey

My brother couldn't play his old PC games from 2002 in Vista. That is what wouldn't happen with linux, as long as the programs are free and open source. You would also even always find a fix, just like there are fixes for some versions of Skype. Unfortunately, this Ubuntu isn't ready. I don't know if it is all about "trying harder," perhaps there is some better way of having hardware producers create drivers for linux? Is BSD a better concept? Or do we wait for Solaris?

Agree, I don't think Ubuntu was made (primarily) for mobile devices and frankly I don't see them changing their strategy to do make it that way in the near future.
