  • What is RBR?

  • I must say, I love your videos. I live in Europe, so I'm used to the ATC system here, and watching your videos and hearing the US communications is a real treat !

    Thanks

  • LOL..... I like "Watch that Hawk.."

  • huge hejp - thanks.

  • Awesome!!

  • b e a utiful approach and landing

  • you makes it look soo easy

  • really cool!

  • Great Video. Thanks for posting.

  • Absolutly FANTASTIC video, also the radio communications was what made this a better than most video, not a big fan of the music running in the background, EXCELLENT job----more please.

  • how do i make a Ifr with a cessna 208b . on vatsim or Ivao?

  • I think you not can do a ifr in a c 208b , u have to have flightplan. on vatsim u have to have to have a flightplan with waypoints. i hope thats help u

  • LOVE this video! I am a huge fan of IFR landings and takeoffs with good audio! Can't wait to get my instrument License

  • I know it's not your newest, but nonethe less, a great vid as usual.

  • great vid!

  • Actually the Air Shuttle was right on the heading read back.

  • He must be one of those "Mesa Haters" haha then again who isnt?

  • I really must say expert radio communications, nice flying, dead-on centerline, beautiful lady voice at Santa Barbara. Nice video!

  • Sometimes one gets lucky.

  • You got that right.

  • Awsome video!

  • Great video. Too bad it was foggy. SB is my hometown and it is beautiful when it is not foggy.

  • What a fantastic video--very Professional.

  • That was a great video Frank! what a feeling it must be when you see the runway...

  • What does ILS stand for?

  • Instrument Landing System

  • Euhm, where was the landing clearance? I didn't hear it...

  • I didn't listen at 5:05

  • Of course, there it was... xD

Here in Germany (mostly on bigger Airports) you're often advised to "continue approach" (usually happens with the small planes, sometimes also with big jets in case there's too much traffic). Then you get the clearance on late final. Maybe that was why I overheard that... ^^

    Great video! ;o)

  • Great video!

  • What type of aircraft. great video.. Know of any helicopter comunication ones like this?

  • Super Viking

  • I noticed my heart rate increase as you entered the clouds. Great Video! Keep em coming!

  • Thanks for the great video. I pulled the Approach Plate. With that in hand, this is even more fun.

  • Another great video Frank...and instructional too! I wish my videos were as well done as yours!

    Garnett

  • Nice job!

  • Frank As A CFI(glider) And CFII SEL I Would Like To See You Fly To An Airport With A Lot Of Glider Activity Where You Can Hear Glider On The Radio And See Them Land With You

  • Since they are usually dirt or grass fields that's a lot to ask of a guy with a 20 hour old prop.

  • Go To Hollister Mun. They Have LOTS of Gliders And A Paved Airport

  • Great video, when was this done. There's been lots of cloudy weather out here lately.

  • Sunday November 18, 2007

  • Did you have to do anything before asking for an IFR pick up? In the way of communications I mean.

  • No, I did have VFR flight following from my point of departure.

  • Well thats easy then, I thought it was more complicated then that.

  • The key is to wait until you are talking to the correct sector.

  • Another great video. There are few things that give a greater sense of achievement than busting out near minimums to see the runway right ahead.

  • Great video!

  • Nice ILS video. Excellent audio!

  • Great vid. That's defientaly something you don't have to do often around here in Central Oregon. Keep em comin!

  • Great video, Frank. This is what many instrument students never see. The hood isn't as good as the cloud!

  • thats scary going into the clouds like that not knowing when the ground is going to hit haha.

  • No, but you should have your Game Hat on.

  • was it hard learning all the lingo for IFR flight?

  • I was a private pilot, then became a ATC'er before I worked on advanced ratings, so in my case no.

  • Awesome

  • Sweet.

  • Got to love that privilege of IA! Love those words "cleared to land" You talk through your approaches like I do :-)) I lways say like you do, where I am and minimums.

  • great video this is what makes me happy im a subscriber
