LOL no way!!! I met this guy here in California a few years ago when he was on this trip! And he was with a girl I had randomly met in Guatemala a year before! small, small world...I don't remember him talking about God or religion much, but he was all about surfing. and his biodiesel-powered truck was pretty rad...he said that since he had started working on it himself, ha was able to fix it on his own 3 times when it broke down. hope to see you around buddy..wouldn't be surprised :)
why why why are hippies like him almost always religious?!!?! i don't understand why there are not so many people like this who want to live in intentional eco-communities, but who consider the concept of theism absolutely ridiculous & immoral. if its not god or jesus, its the "one consciousness/energy" or "mother nature" or "universe will provide". why aren't there hippies like me who simply follow empiricism & the enlightenment, with finding transcendentalism only in music, poetry, art etc.
You are a smart, handsome and I see such a beautiful spirit in you. Not too many young people like yourself have that spirit like you :-) May the Most High be with you on your journey to find the right place, God will let you know when you find the right place, Amen and stay safe and help be the change that the world needs :-)

They just sit blindly and wait to be fed a contaminated, paganized, fleshly, and merchandised version of The Gospel and then imitate it. Keep searching. God will open up the truth to you if you keep seeking and don't let the indoctrinated folk stop you.

Most "Christians" aren't really Christian at all. I can say that thru the eyes of being one growing up, and now from the outside looking in at them. I cant say exactly why this is the case [maybe infiltrated, maybe due to other pressures of society to conform via media], but I do know the typical Christian is not a real follower of Christ.
