7/26/08-I just got hip to this kind of animation. I was a kid when Transformers originally aired of Tv back in 85, I loved them then and I love them now. This kind of animation is like a dream come true for me! Are they enire episodes of this kind of animation (Transformers)? I've seen the stuff that Meverix done, its raw; "Prelude to Energon", that is the kind of graphics I like.
From reading a lot of comments on this site, I have come to my own conclusion that the concesus here would rather have a TF movie that is way more faithful to G1 than what Bay offered us. I don't care what the opinions are about 'Blocky robots wouldn't work' and whatnot: I would love to see another live action TF movie, a true version using the graphics in this, but building upon it exponentially. I do not see why this wouldn't work. Transformer resembling exoskeletons is no Transformer of mine!
Micheal Bay doesn't respect the fanbase, when it's the fanbase who would be willing to fork over more bucks than the action flick enthusiast he's trying to reach. As (bewilderingly) successful as the movie was, giving it this treatment would ensure a DVD release of more than 3 months after the theatrical release. *lol*
Because this is "too blocky", and robots can't be made to look like geometric shapes, apparently. TF is supposed to appeal to kids, and I guess that means they have to look like rubbery superheroes or metallic spider-monster things.
Indeed, they were always real to me.
