He said in an interview once that he wrote it that way, and someone brought to his attention that it was the ENERGIZER bunny, and he was like "oh.... oh well. I like it better this way." So he kept the original recording of it. I love how you can always find his personality in his songs. It's what I love most about him. Nothing hits me quite like his music. I never thought I could feel almost every emotion at once listening to a single song.
