@ebonyheart90 No I do the oil treatments to help add moisture and shine to my hair. Leaving the oils in your hair will leave it TOO oily and messy

@orangeluv022 You can certainly do both! I used to perm my hair all the time. When I finally decided to go natural I couldn't bring myself to do the big chop! So I didn't. It took me about one and a half years to fully transition. I just stopped perming and started taking better care of my ends to reduce hair breakage. :) Good luck!

@shivilrockyou Well, it may depend on what type of oil you use. Jamaican Black Castor Oil stimulates hair growth on the scalp, so there's one example that may prevent hair loss.

@TheRoyaldiamond I like to shampoo and condition afterwards to make sure I get out all the excess oil. Otherwise your hair might get really greasy, like mine often does.

@TheRoyaldiamond Yes... use a warm setting and make sure you cover your hair with some type of plastic cap to avoid having that heat directly on your hair. Give it some protection.

Does it really matlter what type of oil is used for the treatment! I tend to have a dry scalp and ichy, which is why i wash my once a week! I am trying to find oils that can help with both of these problems. Any ideas. I am currently using Tea Tree oil, but this oil only last a few days in my hair!!

@nivakk I have found a few oils that really work for my hair. I now use Olive Oil and moroccan oil. I tend to get more results from the moroccan oil. The tea tree oil no longer works on my hair. I've heard Castor oil ,coconut oil, or shea butter oil works wonders on Natural hair, So I am going to check that out. so far it has been ok not the best results, but I am going to keep trying.
