Yeah, the opposition at the time wanted us to go to Iraq (the Conservatives), but the Liberals voted against it, and we didn't aid iraq in anyway, not even oil to fuel the tanks. Whereas, Australia was first in line out of common wealth countries to invade Iraq. Canada saw it as a pointless war. Afghanistan however, was not pointless, and Canada had an obligation under NATO to join the coalition of forces invading Afghanistan.

The song is merely a tongue in cheek critique of globalization (and more specifically Americanization). It deals with the lost of cultural diversity and identity as one culture takes over. Rather it is good or bad is up to the listener's interpretation.
Capitalism is an economic system, not a government system. You cannot "run" a country on capitalism. I'm going to assume you are a 13 year old child who's filled with nationalism.

I'd like to point out that I have nothing against America, it's actually among my top 5 favourite countries in the world I'd say (and it's the same for most people, just think of how many good American stuff you use everyday).
But Americans (with a few exceptions) have one big issue, unlike the rest of the world, they just can't admit their problems.
Every country has their problems, that doesn't stop them from being good, Americans should learn that.
That's how it works around the world.

Well, those things are complex and people have different views on meanings, but basically it's an irony about how "Amerika" believes itself to be so perfect and how it somewhat forces people and nations into behaving the way they want them too.
