  • thank you so much. your video was really helpful and we were able to replace the faucet relativlely easily.

    please keep the videos coming.

  • this is a sink faucet not a bath faucet

  • speedyvalve makes this job easy check it out

  • Marsupials, I hate marsupials!

  • if only it were that easy.

  • He does sound like Christopher Walken!!! Right on

  • only cost me $25 for the bison wench, pipe tape, and plumber putty

  • thank you for showing me how to do this myself. worked great!

  • my water supply lines are copper, and I can't get the cold water supply line to separate from the faucet assembly, or the shut-off valve for that matter. How do I disconnect the copper pipe? I've removed the screws but its won't separate. The hot water line did't give me any trouble.

  • Oh I see, the host can't be white anymore or they will get sued... I'm so tired of the double standard.

  • You really shouldn't use teflon tape when installing compression hoses...it could make it difficult/impossible for you to tighten the nut enough to make the compression fitting snug.

  • @Womaaahn I've never found a problem when using Teflon Tape around the threading. If there is, you probably used too much or didn't stretch it out enough. The teflon allows your water tight seal for the water lines.

  • @grassmanmatt

But the whole point of compression hoses is that you don't need teflon tape. I did a great deal of research online, plus watching DIY shows before I replaced my hoses and never used teflon tape at all and everything is fine. I've only used teflon tape with non-compression water connections, like the shower head.

  • I like the video . I used speedyvalve by floodmaster for my valves/feeds it made my life easy. There is another helpful video on you tube

  • Thanks. I could not find the basin wrench as shown. Had to settle for a more expensive one.

  • Everything went well on my end for being the first time dealing with it. Except, that I could not find anywhere nor here details into how really to get that rubber washer through that hole. I followed my manual instructions. Yet, I find it impossible to get it in. I give up. I will finally call a plumber to install me the whole thing. I wanted to challenge myself for the first time ever doing this type of work. hmmm. I accept my defeat. ohhhhhhhhhh.

  • LOL hey he reminded me Christopher Walken too ! Awesome !!

These Home Depot Videos are great !

  • As a child, Did the bathtub ever looked out of place to you sitting in the side of the restroom? Meaning it is out of geometry in a square room?

  • he voice reminds me of an asian Christopher Walker. Awesome.

  • @oldmanwalthouse fraeken king of new york

  • Most faucets are rusted and frozen together. Getting the old one off is the hard part.

  • Now I see why my faucet has a leak. It is because I have no gasket underneath.

    Thanks

  • Really well paced vid!

  • Helpful, thanks.

  • I did my faucet Following this Guy and ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE!!!!!!!!! I ended up breaking a Pipe!!!!

  • cool

  • How did you break a pipe? Did you tighten something too much? I plan to do this also, but after reading your post I would like to know what not to do. Thanks for sharing.

  • Its pretty Hard to break a pipe that is in good shape, Just remember If it breaks it needed to be replaced anyway. Good luck

  • NOW how the heck did you acomplish that? lol!
