Try not to lean your head forward and try to think about moving your shoulders to your knees, if you lean your head back a little and focus on moving your shoulders tends to help me a lot.

More crunches and cardio. i start gym from feb 01 and i can do 550 crunches with 50 decline crunches and cardio for 25 min and eat 5 to 6 meals and already I can see results. there is no way you loose your body fat and not lose your weight. while you working out either building mass or lose fat if you wanna see results fast you need the right diet period. and i tell you something its not easy to eat 6 meals

No, they do not. And here I thought the myth of spot reducing was dead, seeing as how even the WORST trainers know you cant spot reduce. You cannot selectively take fat from any part of your body. This is genetically predetermined.

When someone takes their back all the way off the ground, the hip flexors become activiated and the abs are no longer activated past a 30 degree angle. This is why the old sit-up is no longer considered valid.
4) Your neck is going to get tired and start burning. Thats why your hands should be behind your head, taking some of the weight off your front neck by supporting the back of your head.
5) You need a full ROM - the ribs should come as close as possible to the pelvis, not just "up a few inches".
6) Tucking in your chin is the same as pulling your head forward with your hands behind your head.
7) To do a crunch, simply lay back, and forcefully pull your ribs toward your pelvis and squeeze to ensure you've completed the range, then relax. Your hand position, tongue position, toe position, finger position, DOESN'T MATTER, so use common sense. Your abs are like any other muscle. Just force them to contract under resistance, and they'll get stronger.
Hmm that seems like the most reasonable advice I've heard about crunches so far. Everyone seems to have different methods and tips about crunches but in the end, obviously its the ab muscles that need to be exercised. But it also makes sense to point out that the neck, hips etc. should not be doing the majority of motion.

How can you have a flat back when you do an anterior pelvic tilt? Besides when your back is flat your lower abdominals are already fully flexed so any movement beyond that is minimally effective.

In order to get a full ab workout you have to workout your upper abs, obliques, and lower abs.
*UPPER ABS* - 2 sets of 60 crunches
*OBLIQUES* - 2 sets of 50 side plank obliques
*LOWER ABS* - 2 sets of 60 reverse crunches
Do all these excercises in one session every other day.(25 to 30 minute sessions)
Eat a healthy diet with as little saturated fat as possible.
If the excercises are too easy (which they will be eventually) do not increase reps, instead at an additional set per workout.

Hmm that seems like the most reasonable advice I've heard about crunches so far. Everyone seems to have different methods and tips about crunches but in the end, obviously its the ab muscles that need to be exercised. But it also makes sense to point out that the neck, hips etc. should not be doing the majority of motion.

How can you have a flat back when you do an anterior pelvic tilt? Besides when your back is flat your lower abdominals are already fully flexed so any movement beyond that is minimally effective.
