  • 2:45 to skip the intro shit

  • nice!!!!the specials are playing the whiskey in february!!!

  • Angry Samoans so fucking Young! Wow. This might be cool if the kids they interviewed were a little more real.Whats up with that dyke wearing the stupid hat?

  • @kaos3ce L.O.D.(lords of desctruction) is around too......

  • @kaos3ce lofl interesting thought but you're wrong. the outsiders/HB wolfpac is alive and well in orange county + the south bay. They don't go up to hollywood like they used to but the brothers, sisters, kids of the originals are around. You've also got a large contingent of general surf-punk hooligans + mma type skinheads that you really don't want to fuck around with. that element has remained in the south bay+ OC + will remain as long as it stays the way it is demographically.

  • what is the band around 7:32

  • @radioclash84 - The Chiefs - 1980-1982

  • @kaos3ce before the lads came, LOD, outsiders, hb wolfpac.

  • ahh that's too bad, they had the poser punks in this episode. well it's hbo afterall. lofl

Angry samoans were cool though but those people were fucking lame hollywood trash. and that dyke, blech!

  • chick at the end was Amy Winehouse

  • Did they put that chick on heroin around the end?

  • Man...finally some fuckin chiefs!!! One of the best oc bands there was!!! Cause I admit I have got the lonelys!!!

  • was that suzan summers at the start?

  • @TheDotComKid84 no she's not Suzanne Somers

  • Awesome. When punk was still real.

  • Believe this is from 1980. That is when The Specials played at the Whiskey.

  • pogo babe!!!!

  • I forgot to add in my last comment, that by 1981 the Dickies and Suburban Lawns were old news and hardly the cutting edge of "punk" or "new wave". If this were from 1981 they'd be featuring bands like the Circle Jerks, Fear, Black Flag, Adolescents, etc.

  • This is not from 1981, to me it looks like it's from around 1979----people are still pogoing (instead of slamming)---it's definitely pre-hardcore, Phranc looks like she did in Catholic Discipline, etc. This was the best era of the L.A. underground, before the suburban hardcore bonehead hordes took over...

  • @antshrike I see what youre saying about the hardcore boneheads but youve got to admit some heavy tunes came out of the hardcore scene...dont you think fear was a great punk band?

  • @TheDotComKid84 pay no attention to the artsy fartsy hollywood bozos. they're just pissed that hardcore took over their wimpy scene.

  • AWSOME!!!Thanks for sharing!!!! 7 Mins in,is one of THE BEST DEFINITION OF PUNK ROCK Ive heard!!!And Rodney Bingenhiemer @ 8mins AWSOME!!!

  • That chick at the end looks like she's having a seizure! LOL

  • SCUM: Call me a "moron" then! I grew alongside many of them in the L.A. suburbs so I feel I may have better insight than you. Where do you hail from , "Kansas"?

  • Have always loved the Angry Samoans! They're still grabbing people by the genitals too!

  • It's only a Tinsel Town Rebellion! Spoiled white kids from the L.A . suburbs throw temper tantrums to shitty music.

  • @toiseywoisey You are a moron if thats what you think the Punk Movement was. AND IS!

  • Temper tantrums by spoiled white punks on dope.

  • Kickboy!

  • The intro footage is way more gross and disgusting than the footage of the Angry Samoans! Hmmm, is that why punk rock reared it's beautiful head???

  • The Chiefs were from Orange County weren't they? I lived in OC for awhile and I thought they were formerly a band called The Suspects who all were Newport Harbor High guys...?

    Anyone?

  • The Chiefs were from LA County

  • Hollywood my man hollywood

  • This is from early 1980 @ 3:31 you can see Darby Crash drinking a beer. & Blackies closed in the summer of '80

  • "When there's nothing to listen to, you have to make your own music."

That sums it up pretty well!

    Awesome post!

  • that chick dancing at the end is fucked up man a ha ha h ha

  • fuckin angry samoans hell yes !!!!!!!!
