ford had electrical problems that started under-hood fires. the connector plug to the alternator was the biggest source of the problem. it did not get much publicity. you all may need to check for this if you own a older ford like the one in the video.

@MrRobert5 it happened again in 2001 - 2006 with the newer models the cruise control if set would fail and either catch fire or keep you in cruise control with no power of brakes or accelerating

@Jsoto1115, i am aware of the cruise control electrical issue that ford had with their 2001 - 2006 models, however, the electrical problem that i mentioned in my original post was with the late 80's all through the 90's. the truck shown in the video was a mid 90's model.

Foam certainly does have its applications, but like you said, water will do just fine on almost any fire.

try using just water on a petroleum fire........and foam cuts your water usage down so A. you don't use as much water, and B. you don't take as long to fight fire.

You don't have to use much foam to make the water "more wet" just about 1-2 %. I think it should be used more.
