yeah kinda shows the series decline.

Old Simpsons: Good timing, + good writing + decent acting.

New Simpsons: No Comic timing (As long as the line is SAID it doesn't seem to matter how or when + writing replaced by constant pop culture references and half-assed satire, + exaggerated sarcasm with bad timing....

overall new simpson feels WAY too forced. it tries way too hard.

the simpsons was and will always be a timeless classic, but let's be honest, the era of the simpsons ended when shows like "family guy" came onto the scene. i am, or was, a hardcore simpsons fan but even i stopped watching alotgether over the past couple of years. The characters are endearing but just dont have the same impact they used to have on culutre. Their movie was genius and the peak of their success. And should have ended then and there.

From seasons 8 - 11, it was decent.

Season 12 - 18 it was pure shit.

This is from season 19, where the quality started to come on the incline. In fact from season 19, as we can see here, it's making a return to what made the early simpsons great: funny comedy that reflected popular culture through exagerrated characters, as we can see here, poking fun at crumping, which was popular when season 19 was out (2009), by having Marge do it.
