It's like a chewy cheeseball that tastes like italian bread. It's very, very good. You can pick them in the garden and feed them salad for a while. Cleaning them can get scary though, they go through a lot of pain with the salt.
@tupac4life84 Snails are surprisingly very tasty and fun to eat!!!!!! Not the same snails you see in your garden. It's slightly chewy and has a very nice flavor to it with the butter and parsley.
I can try to translate this recipe. As a first step, I think I'll post the translation as a comment and, if I have enough time, I'll make this video with English subtitles.
Actually the snail itself hasn't so much taste, the taste is concealed by garlic!
That's an urban legend to believe that French people eat snails (and frogs) each day (almost), majority of French has never tried. I can understand the disgust!

Ingredients for 4 people:
- 4 dozen cooked snails and their shells (snails cooked in "court-bouillon" or canned snails),
- 250 g of soft butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Flat leak parsley (1/2 bunch)
tdenoyer 3 years ago
- Pass the butter a few seconds in the microwave or leave it outside 1 hour before starting the recipe to soften it (better way),
- Knead it in a bowl with a fork, to make it easy to mix,
- Add garlic and parsley. Salt. Mix well to achieve a well-blended butter,
- Drain snails,
- Place 1 snail by shell and filling the shell with garlic butter,
- Arrange the shells (openings upward) in a dish (which can go in the oven),
tdenoyer 3 years ago
- Cook in an oven preheated to 210 °C (425°F) during 5 to 10 minutes - ready when the garlic butter bubbles.
- Enjoy immediately with bread !

Ah, la jolie recette! Toute simple et délicieuse. Merci!
Personnellement, j'ajoute :
