if the tide is near 10 metres at barrow the bore can be bigger than this,the wind has a bearing on it.

I agree, over the years I have seen some very large bores and some bores that were that small nobody noticed ! With this being a good spring tide I was hoping for better, will try again with a 10.3m and full blown gale !
